View Full Details of Kimberley Residential HomeMy husband has been in Kimberley Care Home since July 2019 and I have always been very pleased with the way the home is run. The staff are very caring and understanding, the building might be old but the care they get is brilliant. It is a very friendly home and you will have to go a long way to get this. I can not fault the home, they kept me informed with the covid 19 and now I can visit once a week. Unfortunately, my husband now has to go into another home as now this home is unable to meet his needs. It is going to be hard to find a home like Kimberley. There is always some activity going on, I know he is unable to join in but he is happy and contented and as soon as you go into the home you are always made welcome. It is heartbreaking to move him, but things change. I can't thank the staff enough for being so caring and understanding towards my husband. I will miss the friendships that I have made with all of the staff over the last two and half years.
Admitting a parent to a care home can be very stressful but from day one this home has felt very friendly and homely. This helped me cope with leaving my mother in care. When visiting I see the staff chatting and listening to the residents and most days there is some form of organised activities going on which residents/visitors are encouraged to participate in. I always feel welcome when visiting.
Hello. I am so pleased to be able to give my appreciation for homes like Kimberley Care, Herne Bay. Currently, my good lady was admitted to Kimberley Care and 3 years later she is being devotedly cared for, loved, and I find compassion and care as soon as I appear at the entrance. I dearly love them all. Such people from staff to workers are in my opinion the 'commandos' of civilian life. God bless them! Special praise to the activities lady. All in all wonderful teamwork. Kimberley Care would be my choice if/when required.
My father is a new resident at Kimberley. My overall opinion and observations are, how caring all the staff are and clearly demonstrate knowledge and compassion in the care they give. It is clear that the staff are committed and passionate and go the extra mile. There is a strong and dedicated leadership team and a strong focus on social inclusion. Daily activities that promote daily structure and purpose. A very happy home.
Very pleased with the care Mum receives here, they made the transition as comfortable as possible and continue to deliver. Great team and very clean building.
Mum has been here for two years and it's excellent. The staff are so caring, always find time for the residents and it is no trouble if my dad has dinner with mum on special occasions I.e birthday mum always looks so nicely dressed when we see her so do all the other clients. I have no complaints at all. The managers always keep in contact with me when they need to. Dad views are the same as mine he is very happy with the way they look after mum.
My father was a resident at Kimberley Care Home, since being diagnosed with Vascular Dementia in March 2015, until he passed away in March 2017, just weeks before his 97 the birthday. The home is welcoming, clean very well run and staffed. The care provided is exceptional. Relatives and visitors are always made welcome by the staff. We have never experienced anything less than total professionalism and compassion within the home. The activities provided are stimulating for the residents, and the extra musical entertainment and games are well thought out and appreciated by all. The varied menus and the fresh food is of the best quality. Some of the residents requiring assistance with feeding were always catered for. The residents/patients have always been treated with the greatest compassion and dignity. I would not hesitate in recommending the Kimberley Care Home, to anyone requiring the best possible Care for their relatives.
The care home is always clean, staff are very good at their jobs and they've always time for the residents, giving them cuddles and also reassuring them. How they care for them is very special. I appreciate the time and effort given.
About 3 years ago, following a period of 5 months in hospitals, Dad was diagnosed with Vascular Dementia and Alzheimer's Disease and we were advised that we would have to find a care home to suit his illness. This was a difficult time. We visited several homes in the area, but when we were shown round The Kimberley, we were immediately struck by the caring qualities of the staff. The knowledge that the owner and manager showed about the needs of the residents and their understanding of the stresses and worries of their relatives, convinced us to trust the Kimberley team with Dad's care. It has been his home for 3 years and we have no regrets. Dad's physical and mental care has been faultless and although his condition is slowly deteriorating, he is always treated with respect and dignity. It is reassuring for us to know that with the inevitability of Dad's illness, he is in safe hands.
My mum has been well looked after at the Kimberley. The staff are always friendly and welcoming the home caters for all mum's needs and she has settled in well. It was really hard to accept my mum's illness, but the staff at the home have made a difficult time more bearable.
Kimberley care home are extremely caring. They have made every effort to enable mum to settle and feel at home. Residents are given space, they are respected and encouraged to move about as often as possible. Mum has limited movement due to her arthritic condition, however, staff are patient and provide all the help she needs to be able to move about the home.
My mother has been residing at Kimberley for the last 15 months. She has received care and support at all times with prompt action to address her changing needs. It is very important to sustain constant and consistent staff who have knowledge of every resident. Kimberley work hard to maintain a solid team of carers 24 hours a day.
