Lulworth House and its staff are amazing. If I needed to go into a home, I would pick this one. The care my mother gets is 100% so I am able to come and go anytime to see her, which is great.
The care and support Mum receives at Lulworth House are excellent. I have absolute peace of mind knowing Mum is being so well looked after and cared for. Mum has been so happy since moving to Lulworth House and has a fantastic quality of life. All te staff go the extra mile and really care. Thank you so much to all at Lulworth House.
Care at the home is very good. Lulworth House is very homely and the staff are very good.
Our mum was staying here between March of 2021 and has only passed away recently. In the years that Mum was here, she was looked after very well by all the team who work here. We were always kept up to date with how Mum's health was. During her time here she was included in activities and days out from time to time. The home has various afternoon activities, for example, afternoon teas and barbecues during the summer which involved the families. The home is very clean and well-maintained. When it got close to our mum's end of life they showed a lot of compassion towards myself and my sisters and you could see the love and care they gave her. Over the years that Mum was here, she was very comfortable and very well looked after which gave all the family peace of mind.
Mum was a resident at Lulworth House for the last 3.5 years of her life, during which she was happy, safe and well cared for. The care home is a large, clean home with a garden, and is run by some lovely friendly staff who are very professional and approachable. They always keep you informed of any issues, but they also like to have feedback, one way being with their 'Resident of the Month' phone calls. There are activities to join in with; Mum especially liked the baking and also the singing with the local entertainer, plus occasional trips out and themed events. All in all a good care home, and to the staff I'd like to say thank you.
Our mum became a resident in March 2021, which as we all know was COVID. The care and support was second to none and continued throughout her stay. The staff and everyone were so caring and friendly always on hand if needed. I personally cannot thank them enough and I know my family feel the same. Thank you so much, will be forever grateful.
I cannot fault anything about the home. Being a carer myself I was dreading my mum having to go into a care home. My mum has struggled to settle and I'm not sure she will ever accept being in a home but the staff are all brilliant with her, giving lots of reassurance. Everyone is very friendly and the residents all look well looked after and content. Always a nice atmosphere in the home on all my visits. The staff have been very supportive and attentive. As a critical carer, I'm so thankful my mum is in this home. Thank you to all the staff.
Mum has been at Lulworth House since the summer of 2023. At first, she went in for respite care but settled in so well that she is now a permanent resident. We picked Lulworth, as from the first conversation through to Mum's arrival, the team were kind and thoughtful to her needs, and she loved the room that she was staying in. I am always made to feel welcome by the team when I visit. I can come and go as I wish, and Mum always seems to be happy and involved in an activity. Not only has she settled in, but is thriving with the additional stimulus. Mum has always loved cooking and home-cooked food which was part of our decision to pick Lulworth. She really enjoys the food and also the cooking activities. It's nice to join her for some of these activities, quizzes etc, so we can spend quality time together. I feel that she is well cared for, safe and happy. Thank you all for the care you have given her so far.
The home is always clean and never smells. My mother is always clean and tidy. The staff are all lovely and keep me informed if my mother is ill. They have lots of activities for the residents. My mum says that the food is nice.
Mum has been in the Lulworth since November 2022. The care and compassion we have seen from all of the staff in the last 14 months has been nothing less than stellar. Food, exercise, trips and treats we have been delighted with the choice we made and know that she is happy, safe and looked after at all times in Lulworth House.
My mother-in-law has been a resident in Lulworth House for 2 years, following a stroke which left her unable to stay in her own home. The care she has received at Lulworth is outstanding. It is a medium-sized home, with a real family atmosphere. All the carers have been kindness itself, and have shown Mum genuine affection, treating her with dignity and compassion. My wife and I have forged a close relationship with all the care staff. The leadership is strong, and there is an atmosphere of calm throughout the home. In two years we have found nothing of concern, or cause for complaint, and Mum has been happy here. Several relatives of other patients have said much the same in conversations we have had with them.
Very caring staff who got to know my mum’s personality and issues very quickly. I’m always updated promptly with any changes or concerns and the way they got her out of some long lasting personal care issues was excellent.
There is truly a family atmosphere at Lulworth. Families are involved in all aspects of their loved one care. All staff are friendly and treat the residents as part of their family. All residents are treated as individuals and staff take the time to really get to know their likes and dislikes. Good nutrition is a key part of what Lulworth offers along with regular events to which families are invited. There are regular trips out for residents. There are also regular family meetings for feedback, with key speakers to give helpful information to understand dementia and related emotional support to families. The manager of Lulworth is down-to-earth, friendly and helpful and always thinks ahead in her drive to remain a first-class care home. My father will be 102 years old this year. He is happy and contented because of the high standards of care that Lulworth provides. Healthcare is also first class with a doctor on call.
My dad stayed at Lulworth House Residential Care Centre recently. He had the highest possible standards of care and empathy shown to him. He sadly passed away a few days ago at the hospital. Thank you very much to you all for all that you did for him.
Since August when my mother was welcomed into Lulworth House she has consistently received the best of care. She has been shown such kindness and particular thoughtfulness in support of her strong faith. When visiting she always expresses her appreciation of the care given. Mum has experienced a number of health issues for which prompted medical advice has been sought and her condition monitored. I have appreciated regular updates too. My family and I are grateful for the sensitive care mum is receiving and feel reassured that she is in the right place.
Wonderful carers and staff - always helpful. Very good activities and entertainment. Pity rooms are not ensuite (commodes are hated!) Very difficult building as a starting point so less than ideal as a care home. Everyone does their best with it.
Lulworth House is a home in which my wife is looked after by caring staff whose prime concern is the welfare, safety, and happiness of the residents. A programme of activities is in operation in which residents are given every encouragement to take part.
The home appears to be clean with attentive and motivated staff. Despite restrictions due to covid the home has continued to be as flexible as possible when arranging visits for family members.
This review covers my experience through the lockdown and it's difficult to comment on the cleanliness and food as I have not been inside the home. The management and staff have been amazing during this difficult time. Keeping the days interesting for residents with activities and stimulation. The safety and care of residents and staff have been of a very high standard and they couldn't have done more. I've been kept regularly updated and had weekly zoom meeting with my mum.
