View Full Details of Mount Ephraim HouseMum moved into Mount Ephraim House in April 2024, initially for some respite care. At that point, she was living on her own and struggling to cope without full support around her for daily living. The stay with the team at Mount Ephraim was life-changing, and after having such a lovely break for 3 weeks, asked if she could stay! Luckily they still had a room available and Mum has settled incredibly well. It is lovely to see how happy she now is. With their care and love, she has improved dramatically in terms of her physical and mental ability with all the wonderful fitness groups, clubs and entertainment that the teams organise on a daily basis. Most importantly, Mum has built a wonderful group of friends amongst both residents and staff. Everyone is incredibly friendly, warm, understanding and supportive and all work so hard to ensure the best home-from-home experience for the residents. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Mount Ephraim House.
My partner came to the care home in August these comments are my impressions of views to now a wonderful building overlooking the common, with lovely inside rooms, especially the dining room and lounge and staircase in the old building. Meals to a high standard. Activities every day, I feel as if regular visitors have been very welcome by the manager and her staff. Good carers, some with interesting backgrounds. I am now 91, quite fit and am still driving. Should I need a care home, this one would be my choice.
Dad moved into Mount Ephraim House in July 2023 in the second week of them opening after the huge refurb. All the staff have been absolutely amazing with not only Dad but also us as a whole family, especially Mum who has missed Dad terribly. It has taken Dad a long time to settle because of his Alzheimers but now refers to Mount Ephraim House as 'home' and it gives us great comfort to witness the amount of hugs and adoration he receives. We are now having to come to terms that after a major life-changing medical situation with Mum, she can no longer live independently and our hope is that she too will be able to move to Mount Ephraim House - we have absolutely no hesitation in making this our first and only choice at this stage.
The manager agreed to take my mother-in-law for emergency respite at very short notice was the best decision we made. My mother-in-law has been very well looked after. The team are caring and attentive to all of my mother-in-law's needs. The family have said that Mum has never looked so well. We are extremely thankful to the team for the care and support they provide for Mum and the family.
Mount Ephraim House has been outstanding. The staff are always utterly charming, patient and welcoming. Nothing ever seems to be too much bother, and everyone has a friendly smile. It has been enormously reassuring for us to know that Mum is in such kind, safe and professional hands. I have no reservations at all in recommending Mour Ephraim House 100%.
My mother was anxious on arrival at Mount Ephraim House, but the cheerful and welcoming attitudes of all the staff made the process much easier. As visitors to my mother, we were also made extremely welcome. The whole experience has made it a lot easier for myself than it otherwise would have been.
My mother and father have been residents in January of 2024 for respite care. The team at Mount Ephraim have taken amazing care of my parents. The care staff, who have looked after them on a day-to-day basis, have been truly exceptional in making them feel safe and respected.
Dad has been at Mount Ephraim House for a few months. He arrived subdued and with limited mobility and communication. He has come on enormously over the last few weeks and is now walking more independently and talking to let his needs be known and to comment on what is going on. We are delighted and put this down to the care being offered in the newly renovated home. The bedroom, en-suite shower room, corridor, dining room and sitting room where Dad spends the majority of his time are all pleasant spaces that are easy for him to negotiate without feeling 'medical' in any way. They wouldn't be out of place in a very nice hotel. The staff have become familiar friendly faces to him and to me. They take great care to explain what is going on to Dad and make sure that he is looking and feeling fresh and is involved in activities. He is happy and settled at Mount Ephraim House and I have no hesitation in recommending it.
Mum has been at Mount Ephraim since early November and we could not be more thrilled with the place, the people, the atmosphere, the food - everything. Most importantly, Mum is very happy and is clearly enjoying being amongst all the wonderful people there. She arrived pretty much bed-bound after 4 months recovery from a hospital visit. The manager and her team now have Mum out of bed and moving - such a big step. Mum continually tells me that everyone is so friendly and helpful and she feels properly at home. As her children, we couldn't be more appreciative and delighted. Thank you.
I am thrilled to share my heartfelt appreciation for the incredible care provided to my nan at Greensleeves Care. Since she became a resident, the level of attention and compassion shown by the staff has been nothing short of amazing. The level of personalised care my nan receives is remarkable. The staff takes the time to understand her specific needs and preferences, tailoring their approach to provide the best possible care. Their attention to detail is commendable, ensuring my nan feels valued and supported in every aspect of her daily life. The facilities are well-maintained, clean and thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of the residents. Greensleeves offers various activities and amenities, catering to different interests, promoting engagement and a sense of community. Choosing Greensleeves for my nan's care has been one of the best decisions we've made as a family. I am confident that the staff can provide outstanding care and support.
My mother is thriving at Mount Ephraim House. Welcoming and compassionate staff, who really do put the best interests of the resident first. Food is outstanding - prepared and presented in an appetising way, which encourages my mother to eat. Marvelous refurbishment, which is well-designed and has a homely atmosphere.
We visited Mount Ephraim House for the first time this week, it's a lovely place, bright and cheerful and the staff were very attentive. Our friend of almost fifty years is very happy there and loves her new surroundings. The home has a happy atmosphere from the moment you enter it.
My mother has just moved to Mount Ephraim House from a home in Sevenoaks: both are Greensleeves’ properties. The home is extremely luxurious and the staff are really friendly and helpful. You can sense that the management’s care for the residents filters down and everyone is treated with dignity and respect. A highlight is the food: it is beautifully cooked with care and is restaurant standard. My mother’s quality of life has been significantly improved.
My father lives at Mount Ephraim House and is living his best life. With the outstanding care provided by the whole team at Mount Ephraim they have made this possible for him to smile again and live his life and as a family, we will be forever great full to the Mount Ephraim House team for this. For also always knowing they are there to support us.
My father was with the home for three years, he died on the 5th of April. The staff, without exception, were respectful and so kind to my father. They were brilliant at keeping us informed if he had a fall or was unwell. They could not have been more helpful and understanding. It was so reassuring knowing how they genuinely cared about him. He was always properly dressed, clean and well fed. The last few days were beautifully handled, a hospice specialist was brought in to explain everything. The team at the home gave us privacy and lots of tea. He had a pain free peaceful end and he was never alone. The care at this home was frankly quite exceptional, I cannot fault any aspect. I am so grateful to all of them.
My mother was at Mount Ephraim House for a short time. During the time she was there, the staff showed her kindness and compassion beyond any expectations.
Wonderful care and attention paid to my mother. The manager hand picks excellent staff - so very kind. Food is nutritious and always enjoyed. Rooms are spacious, warm and bright. Always something fun on the agenda - the only place I'd consider for Mum.
A relaxed and happy atmosphere from the moment you enter the building. Every member of staff you meet; in the office or kitchen, carers, domestics, gardeners, is helpful, concerned, caring and smiling. Willing and friendly and fun. The activities are brilliant and well thought out; varied, continuous and organised. There are outings, a really wide range of art, crafts, music and quizzes, talking, exercise classes and more... Being a carer myself I know the building needs the modernising that is coming soon, but the staff cope amazingly well and it doesn't affect the great feeling of wellbeing. Couldn't recommend it more.
The atmosphere at Mount Ephraim is so relaxed and caring. I am very happy and at ease leaving my husband in their loving care.
Mount Ephraim is at the opposite end of the care home spectrum to the modern, expensive, antiseptic and soulless homes that now seem to be coming on stream. It is run very professionally and manages to create a real family environment. The number and variety of activities - both in the home and on day trips out is particularly impressive as is the amazing quality and variety of the meals. In the end, it all comes down to the carers. Individually (and without exception) outstanding and as a team, absolutely beyond reproach. Thank you, Mount Ephraim, for being there and being who and what you are. PS. The only topics below marked Satisfactory rather than Excellent are a direct reflection of the age of the building. This is being renovated over the next 2 years and should, therefore, reach Excellent grade on all fronts when complete.
