View Full Details of Port RegisI can recommend Port Regis after the fantastic care my mother received whilst being a resident. Mum always called it her home, and the staff were her friends. She was always happy in her two years there, and the end-of-life care was very good. It is like one big happy family where my mum said it was her castle. The family would like to thank you all for the care and attention you give to the residents and their families.
I can wholeheartedly recommend Port Regis. We viewed several; Port Regis was one of them - it was clean, with no unpleasant aromas. Mum was given a lovely room. I was worried at first as she hated being moved again but soon seemed settled. There are numerous activities from crocheting, drawing, history pictures, chair exercises with balls, visits from dogs - someone is there 5 days a week just to do these activities. The television is not often on as there is a lot going on. There is also a quiet room where the radio is playing and residents can relax here. The dining room is spacious and opens onto the garden as does the activity room which also has a hairdressing salon. She can be feisty but they treat her in exactly the same way that I would and I can only sing their praises. Most of all they know mum well and recognise immediately if anything is different in her behaviour - I really hope that she ends her days here as she is the happiest she has been in a long while.
