View Full Details of Hazeldene HouseHazeldene House is amazing my dad was extremely poorly when he arrived not eating or drinking anything- now he has gained weight and is receiving first class care and nothing is too much trouble I cannot thank them enough, also the support I get as a relative is outstanding. Thank you so much Hazeldene House.
Mum came to Hazeldene house for 6 weeks respite care after a bad fall where she suffered a broken shoulder. She needed 24 hour care, and we had to act quickly to find her somewhere, the resident manager was amazing at helping us get mum in quickly. Our hope was that she would eventually be able to return to her own apartment. However, mum became settled so quickly at Hazeldene house it wouldn't have been any benefit moving her again. The staff seem genuinely fond of mum and her wellbeing. My sister and I found it difficult leaving mum to begin with, but now we see her happy and content, she is treated so kindly and with dignity that we have no worries about the standard of care she receives.
Mum went into Hazeldene House for 6 weeks respite care after having a fall at home and breaking her shoulder. Mum was unable to get the 24 hour care she needed where she lived and we were told that we would have to find somewhere for her within 24 hours. Hazeldene House came up trumps and mum moved there the following day. The staff were amazing and they made mum and my sister and I very welcome. They have been very supportive in all of mum's care and mum now is getting over her broken shoulder. We have made the decision to keep mum there permanently now as we know she is safe and well cared for. Hazeldene House is like a family.
I was very apprehensive when my husband had to go into care, I needn't have worried. He settled very quickly and the staff have gone above and beyond. He is so well looked after and the staff genuinely care about the welfare of all the residents. Any medical problems have been quickly addressed. My family have said what wonderful care he gets. Thank you.
My dad has thrived since being in the care of Hazeldene House. We enjoyed a fantastic family meal with my dad on Christmas Day where the staff made it a wonderful experience. I cannot fault the care he receives.
My partner went to Hazeldene House from hospital. He was frail, unsteady and refused all assistance. The staff were patient and kind, the change in his health and frailness was wonderful. Each day his hearing aids are checked to make sure he can hear and his speech is better. He started to use the dining room and interact with the staff, having jokes with them and chatting. They welcomed his beloved dog and with regular meals, regular medication etc. The improvement in his mental well being was enormous. He has good capacity and tells me how kind they all are. It's important to me that someone who is aware of his surroundings and what is going on is giving me such positive information. He sees a Doctor regularly. Staff are always available for information and help. It is very well staffed. The Manager and Administrator are always available. Going into care is traumatic for both user and family and I thank Hazeldene House for making it as good a transition as is possible.
I am happy that my husband is settling in, thanks to all the people who take care of him. Without their help and kindness it wouldn't be possible for me to feel relaxed. Thank you to all of you for helping me to take care of my dear soul mate.
The team made the transition from hospital to home run as smoothly as possible and welcomed us in like family. Always on hand to assist or answer any questions. The location is perfect; quiet with lovely views of trees and wildlife. Very happy so far!
Hazeldene House is the best we could imagine. The staff are professional and sincerely concerned that our mother is treated with respect and complete care. We feel blessed to have them in our lives.
Hazeldene is a wonderful, welcoming Home. All staff are friendly and hard-working, they really do care. The rooms are large, bright and clean, food is very good, plenty of activities for residents, lovely setting with extensive gardens, and registered nurses on site. Couldn't be happier with the standard of care and professionalism here. Overall the Home has a calm and welcoming feel.
My parents have settled very well in the home. The staff are very friendly, and I feel very happy that they are being looked after and are happy there. The food looks very nutritious, and they are looking after my father, who has a gluten intolerance.
As you can see my experience in all fields is excellent and the reason is everyone is kind and helpful and many of the staff go the extra mile.
My Dad is comfortable and always seems to feel reassured by the staff at Hazeldene. They are very cheerful and kind to the residents but it's easy to see they are also extremely skilled and efficient in their work, nothing seems too much for them, though I'm sure it is frequently very stressful. I always feel welcomed by everyone when I'm visiting. I am very glad to be able to access my Dad's daily care online: I know he's being well looked after but it's helpful to know the extent of his care needs from day to day in clear and frank reports.
Mum has taken a while to settle into Hazeldene House, but that is not a reflection of the care she has received from all the staff on her floor. The staff are very friendly, and attentive and treat her with dignity, patience and understanding. Mum's room is always clean and tidy. The food is plentiful and seems well-balanced. Family members are always made to feel welcome and we are kept up to date with her medical needs/conditions. On a less positive note, as Mum suffers from memory loss, it would be helpful for her if all the staff/carers wore name badges.
All good. My dad is well looked after, and the online care website is great. So much detail - I know everything he has done in a day, down to medication and how much he has had to drink. Hazeldene is a very clean and a very friendly home. If there is a bit too much going on in the lounge, then my dad retires to his room to read or relax. Staff come by to check on him or to offer a cup of tea. Very pleased with our choice of home.
Lovely staff, very pleasant and helpful keeping us informed on Mum's care, with excellent administration and care manager interaction. Mum is very well looked after with genuine care, respect and dignity and has a lovely room that is well maintained. The food she is given looks and sounds lovely and has tea and biscuits when requested, just like home. Seems to be plenty of activities to keep the residents occupied.
Staff were all nice and very accommodating. Kept up to date with Dad's progress. The electronic online care app was good. I can see what he is eating and drinking and the medication he is on. Good for when he was poorly. Peace of mind. Lovely home. Very clean.
My friend can be very difficult at times and the staff deal with him very well. He is very depressed at times but these seem to have become less frequent as the weeks go by. This I think is because he has started to interact more with the staff and other residents.
Hazeldene House is very well run and managed. The staff are invariably friendly and cheerful. My husband is very well cared for. His behaviour can be challenging at times, but the staff are always kind. I always enjoy my visits.
The thing that sets Hazeldene House apart from its peers is the genuine respect and care the staff show to all the residents and also to their families. From the first day my partner arrived, he has been treated with kindness and understanding continuously. Because the staff have plenty of experience in dealing with the complex needs associated with dementia, I can trust them completely and know he is safe all day long. And because the residents are monitored and assessed continuously, all his other health needs are also met. I am very, very grateful to the whole team.
