My aunt is happy in Westerham Place and is always singing the praises of the staff. She is very elderly and chooses not to get involved in many of the activities, but there are clearly many things for the residents to join in. She is fairly independent, but the staff are always willing to help with her care.
At the start of Mum becoming a resident, she was not happy and felt people were not caring. However, this, over the last six months, has greatly improved. I feel much happier that with all Mum's difficulties, she is well cared for. All staff try really hard to accommodate all her needs. She is now mixing more and appears a lot happier than when she was first a resident. The staff are top class for the care they give.
I have been visiting my great friend here for nearly two years. She is happy and well cared for. The staff are very kind and good with all the residents. The rooms are attractively decorated and well furnished and the corridors are attractively decorated. I cannot say about the management or value for money but the impression is certainly favourable. I have said that if I need to go into a home, I would choose to come to Westerham Place.
My mother moved to Westerham Place in December 2022. We have both been treated with huge kindness, care and empathy. I am always met with smiles and knowledgeable carers who always go the extra mile for my mother. Carers are patient and understanding and work to help and assist with various needs. Residents are treated with dignity in a homely, compassionate, caring space.
The moment that my wife and I walked into Westerham Place the atmosphere was very apparent. The staff are so friendly, happy, helpful and welcoming. It has a family feel, always clean without any unpleasant odours. I have had experience with care homes for relatives and this is by far the best.
My Mother has been a long-term resident at Westerham Place. The home is regularly modernised, updated and redecorated, with additional facilities provided for the benefit of the residents and their families/visitors. The staff are fantastic. They build up great relationships with the residents and families. The care that they provide is outstanding. We are regularly updated in relation to health and medical issues related to my Mother and are issued with regular newsletters about the home and planned activities. Those activities often involve invitations to families to attend and participate. My Mother has never been more settled and happy. I cannot fault the home, the care that it provides or its staff.
My father has been at Westerham Place for a year and it is a lovely place. The building and rooms are nicely decorated but the main attraction is the staff who are all fantastic. They are all so lovely and caring and really treat him well. They make him laugh and make him feel at home which is great. I honestly am so happy that Dad is here as I know he is well cared for and as happy as he can be. The food always looks and smells really good too, and they keep him well supplied with tea and cakes!
This was my mother's first experience of respite care and she was very anxious about entering the home. A week later I took her home, she happily shared that if/when needed in the future she would not hesitate to return. The staff were caring, kind, fun and friendly. The home is spotless and the rooms comfortable. The garden is lovely. Thank you, Westerham Place.
From the first inquiry, we found the staff to be first class, they listened to our needs and were really helpful and caring to our mum and us also. They made a really hard time so much easier, cannot praise them enough for being so good at what they do.
Papa has been in the home for almost a year now and settled in both quickly and well. We have got to know his carers and have had many demonstrations of how much they care on an individual basis. They cope exceptionally well with his Alzheimer's and dementia. The place is well run in a kind and gentle style and we are always welcomed as part of the care team. I have no hesitation in recommending Westerham Place and its care team.
I am unable to comment on activities as refuses to join in anything. We are aware they provide a number of activities.
A pleasant experience visiting a friend. She seemed to be well cared for and her room was clean and tidy. The staff I met were friendly and helpful.
My mother has been a resident at Westerham Place for 6 years. The staff have been wonderful, giving excellent care and friendship. They always have a smile and make everyone feel very at home and comfortable. A fantastic team.
Westerham Place care home is a lovely place with very caring staff, everybody has made my mum so welcome, the rooms are very clean and well decorated and the food is excellent. The care mum has been having has meant her health and wellbeing has improved a lot and I can honestly say she really enjoys it there. A big thank you to all the staff, well done!
It certainly seems to be a genuinely good care home, the staff are friendly, attentive and have a real interest in the residents. They do not use agency staff so you and the residents see the same faces, which is great for my father, whose memory is not so good. I never feel brushed off when I call, they are happy to answer questions and keep you well informed if any issues arise.
Amazing place. Staff are efficient, friendly and caring but most of all my dad (who isn’t known for being an easy customer) has settled so well and is very happy and relaxed. The care he is receiving is first class in every way, even down to the finest of details. Such a huge relief to know he is safe, happy and well cared for.
Having had the unfortunate experience of placing my aunt in a home where care was far from what we had hoped and feeling obliged to look for somewhere better we spent time looking and asking questions of various local providers. Westerham Care Home seemed genuinely caring of their residents and their individual needs, unlike some. The overall environment in this home, the friendliness of the care team and willingness to fully understand my aunt's needs, even going to the length of when redecorating the room prior to her staying of doing so in her favourite colour, way above and beyond what we expected. In the nine months she has been there she has been calmer and extremely well looked after so much so that I no longer worry every day as I am one hundred per cent confident her interests are paramount and they will always react to her needs in the same way as I would have expected, I can now for the first time in a long time finally relax knowing she is in safe hands.
My mother came to Westerham Place having spent time previously with another care provider where the care was not ideal. Thankfully we moved mother to Westerham Place and she appeared to finally settle after her previous experience. All of the staff were attentive and clearly very caring, meeting her sometimes demanding needs. The catering and refreshments were all good and plentiful which was very important to Mother. The home was run in a sleek and pastoral manor with an excellent atmosphere with a generally relaxing ambience. When mother was at end of life care and not leaving her room the care remained excellent and even more focused to make her comfortable. I would generally just say thank you to all of the staff and recommend this home to anyone who would need a caring, comfortable environment that ticks all the boxes.
My mother came to Westerham Place over a year ago, and she has been very happy here. The staff are excellent, and they have shown great dedication in looking after my mother, and both she and her family are all very grateful for the wonderful care and kindness she has received. We are always greeted with a smile, and there is a genuine warmth within the home. Westerham Place has a very homely feel and is a lovely building set in attractive grounds. We know that mother is in a safe pair of hands which is a great comfort to her family. I would have no hesitation in recommending this care home.
