View Full Details of Woodstock Residential Care CentreUnfortunately, I feel that standards have slipped a little. There seems to be an issue with the washing and often I find clothes in my mum's wardrobe that are not hers. The toilet near the dining room area the other day did smell and I feel that the home inside is looking a bit tired. My mum's room looks a bit tired and the curtains do too. Also, her window is still wooden framed. I think that the money we pay each month that things are getting a bit neglected. The care staff do a wonderful job and my mum is well looked after.
My mum has been ‘working’ here for 3 years now! She is well looked after and seems happy enough, she loves a bit of banter and enjoys joining in with the activities and going on outings out. The staff are absolutely fantastic, they work so hard to make everyone feel welcome. I’m not in generally at meal times but the one time I did pop in at tea time, Mum had sandwiches that in my opinion didn’t look very appetising and were stale! So maybe a little more attention to the food/menu. I appreciate it’s not easy feeding so many but at the same time, it’s at least got to be appealing and fresh. With regards to the laundry, I think the home is back on track as I know they were having a few problems, but as long as everything is named it makes their life easier for them, being understaffed doesn’t help. Overall though Mum is really happy there with her friends and I don’t have to worry about her as I’m kept up to speed with everything.
Mother has been a Woodstock with Dementia and is very well looked after. the home has activities to help her, and the care shown to her by the staff is excellent. Woodstock has entertainment for the residents as well.
My dear father has been a resident for more than two years now and regards Woodstock as his home. He is treated with loving care and kindness by the wonderful staff. My family and I know that he is safe and secure. The activities are varied. I enjoy being able to take part in recent Christmas fun! The home is always decorated in a way that reflects the season or celebration, e.g. Halloween, Valentine's and Christmas. My father particularly likes the regular church services. I am always made to feel welcome by all the staff, and I appreciate the time they spend listening to any questions or concerns that I may have, whether speaking to me in person or on the telephone.
Saw Mum this morning for an hour just before lunch; she was well dressed, and her hair was done nicely - she looked happy and comfortable. She chatted about how lovely the staff were. Mum always joins in with the activities and enjoys chatting with her ‘neighbours’.
My mother has been in the care home for just over a year. You cannot fault the friendliness, standard of care and support given by all of the staff to the residents and family members. My mum enjoys the meals but especially the cups of tea. She is settled and well looked after.
My mum, who has Alzheimer’s, has been at Woodstock for nearly six years now. She has been and is very happy at Woodstock. Everyone at Woodstock has gone out of their way to make Mum feel at home. The care home manager is very approachable and does listen. As Mum's condition has worsened, staff have adapted their care to suit her needs. As a regular visitor to Woodstock, I feel that I am always welcome, and I appreciate the way that staff keep me in the loop, albeit with regards to the need for Mum's shower gel to be replaced or the fact that Mum has been seen by the GP. Woodstock is a warm, friendly place to be with excellent care facilities and enough things going on for everyone to be kept busy if they want to be. I would and do recommend Woodstock if you are looking for a care home for your loved one.
Unfortunately my father passed away at Woodstock Care Home on the morning of 18/12/2023. My mother and l were made to feel very welcome to stay at the home during his final days, in fact, we actually stayed at his bedside for 5 nights prior to his passing. The care my father received in his final days was exemplary, with kind and caring staff who all showed him compassion and dignity throughout. My mother and l can not praise the staff enough. They also provided us with 3 meals a day and a constant supply of tea. Coffee and cold beverages. Their support for us both was also phenomenal and we will forever be in their debt. My father spent his last year at Woodstock and was extremely happy. Thank you all so very much. My mother has also said if she needs care in the future can she book now.
My husband is so happy and looked after so well. I am informed of his care. The staff are excellent, and the food is really good, more like a hotel than a care home.
The carers are exceptional, the care and love provided to my mum is amazing. My mum loves living in this home and has a fun and happy relationship with the carers. They really do everything for my mum's best interest. She is fed so well that I keep having to buy her bigger clothes. Keep up the good work.
My mother-in-law is always happy and content when I go to visit her, often surrounded by other residents with a trusty cup of tea in hand. Over the years I have known her to be quite nervous and anxious, since living at Woodstock she is no longer that way at all and that's down to the carers supporting and helping her.
Extremely impressed and happy with Woodstock, both the place and the people.

Excellent care and staff, all are very kind and caring. The facilities are very good.
A caring, supportive atmosphere for both residents and relatives. Lots of activities arranged and special events too. All of the team are welcoming and always happy to help. They truly do go the extra mile to make sure that all the residents are happy.
The care which my mother receives at Woodstock is second to none. She really does receive the best possible care, which is tailored to her needs. The staff are very caring and fantastic at communication with us.
The staff are diligent and very caring. They take time with each resident and show dedication. Rooms are clean, neat and tidy.
Very pleasant visit, the staff are very helpful and happy. My relative is also very happy.
The care home at Woodstock Residential Care Centre always feels welcoming and relaxed, the staff are always very friendly and seem happy in their job. My mum always speaks highly of the staff, saying everybody is nice to her and helps her. There is always some sort of activity going on which makes the home an interesting place and considers their residents' well-being.
My overall impression of Woodstock Residential Care Centre is very good. The staff are very pleasant and caring and I know my sister is well looked after and treated with compassion. My only concern is the loss of her hearing aids as it isolates her and makes it difficult to converse with her.
