View Full Details of Brambling House Care HomeMy dear mum was a resident at Brambling House Care Home for six months, Mum had to go into residential care after a fall and being discharged from hospital could not go home My mum, sadly, passed away on the 18th of November 2024, the care that my mum received, from the management to the care team, was so kind, caring and treated Mum with the dignity and respect that a 96-year-old, very frail lady deserved. As a family, we were also treated very well, always the door was opened with a friendly face and we were always offered refreshments, was there for us when Mum was very poorly. I would have no hesitation in recommending Brambling House for anybody looking for a care facility for a loved one.
I am so pleased to say my husband has settled very well in Brambling House Care Home. He is kept clean and tidy by the kind, caring staff. They are always welcoming to me and friends who call in regularly to visit. I love the way the staff make such a fuss of the residents on their birthdays and Christmas, wow! The residents enjoy making decorations with the help of a kind volunteer who spends Tuesday afternoons showing the residents how to make them. It's so lovely to see the concentration on their faces. I am pleased with the care my husband is receiving on this terrible journey of dementia he is, unfortunately, on. The caring staff are angels!
My brother had previously had respite care in the past year so, on arrival, he was greeted warmly by the staff. He appreciated the good food and looked forward to his meals. Staff were very busy but they had time to make contact with him in his room. In his flat, he had become very reluctant to leave his bed and have help with personal hygiene. It was a great relief that staff got him back on his feet and allowed them to help with a shower and bath. I really appreciate the support and relief that my brother's respite care has provided for me.
My dear wife has been a resident for over seven years and there is not a day goes by that she doesn't have the loving care of all the staff. Like me, she is treated like one of their family. I visit every day and help where I can and it's more like a second home for me. The staff are not only caring but you can feel the love and dedication they give to the residents and visitors alike, in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The meals are varied and served to individual requirements. The rooms are what you make them, my wife's room is comfy and homely, decorated with lots of personal things, which you are encouraged to do. The rooms and social areas are kept immaculately clean and tidy. The residents are entertained with live music, also arts and craft. I never hesitate in recommending Brambling House Care Home and a relative of mine has used it twice recently for respite. I call all the staff... "angels in uniform".
Losing my mum to Dementia has been traumatic and heartbreaking but I find comfort and joy in knowing that she is happy, safe, and well at Brambling House. The Staff are not only professional but kind, caring, and sensitive to Mum's and my needs. Mum enjoys the company, activities, food, and surroundings. I feel so lucky that in finding Brambling House I have been able to make Mum's time at this point in her life happy, comfortable, and secure.
My wife and I have been visiting our friend since she was first admitted. We believe she was very fortunate to obtain residence here because of the warm and friendly atmosphere created by the wonderful care team. They take great pains to stimulate our friend's interests with painting and jigsaws. Her appearance has improved, her skin and hair looking revitalised from the care and attention she receives. We can definitely recommend Brambling House Care Home and indeed have mentioned it to a couple of our friends.
Mum has been with Brambling House for at least two years now. I can’t fault the care and attention she has received. Despite her deterioration, the staff have completely supported her every step of the way, making each transition in her care as comfortable as they can. They’ve also made my visits to see her easy and kept me informed of her health and capabilities. For me watching, the staff always managed to make my mum smile, which means the world. Having to watch a loved one suffer from dementia is heartbreaking, but has been made so much easier by the team at Brambling House.
Due to the virus Covid-19, I have been unable to visit my friend. I am extremely grateful for the care and attention she has received over the last few months. The staff have entertained and have gone to great lengths to keep our loved ones safe. They have all done an excellent job over the last few months and I can't praise them high enough.
My mother receives very good care and is happy when I visit. All the staff is friendly and approachable. They are very professional and take good care of my mother. They keep me informed if there are any concerns about my mother's health. They provide lots of activities to keep my mother entertained and happy. I would not hesitate to recommend them. Thank you for all your hard work and support especially through the COVID-19 crisis.
My half-sister has been a resident and cared for by the above care home for a very long time. She has always been very well cared for by the very professional and caring staff. We also have always been welcomed and kept well informed of all her medical and personal needs whatever they may be.
My sister-in-law moved to Brambling House in mid-November 2019. The bedroom is very smart. Due to her condition, we only visit occasionally. The staff have always been very helpful.
On arrival, the car park was full (as usual), so it was a real squeeze to find somewhere so I am not blocking another car in. The front door was opened and I was greeted warmly. When I sat with my friend I was offered a cup of tea. I had a good chat with some of the residents. The cook came and asked everyone what they would like for lunch.
I cannot fault the care and support that everyone employed by Brambling House gives to their residents. They are all brilliant.
All I can say is that the staff at Brambling House treat Mum with dignity. They always go about their work with a smile on their faces. I am very happy that Mum is being treated well.
I have always had a warm and friendly response when I have visited our friend and they have a caring and loving attitude to all the residents. As far as I can see they cater for all the residents' needs, which in our friend's case, are very different from each other. Everything seems very happy, contented and the home has a very homely feeling to it when you visit.
My husband has been resident in the home for over 4 years now. We have always been completely satisfied with the consistently high level of care shown to him and all the residents in the home. There's a sincere level of support extended to family members and whenever an issue arises, which isn't often, it's always resolved in a satisfactory manner. The staff give over and above to everyone. As a family we always made welcome, whenever we wish to visit, often we have visiting friends and are always free to pop in.
The atmosphere was relaxed, the staff were friendly and efficient and the food was well cooked and varied. What more could you ask for? This was my second stay and I was happy to be there.
Very nice and well run residential home for people with dementia. Staff very friendly and easy to approach. Would recommend to anybody.
Mother seems very happy at Brambling House, has put on weight, enjoyed her trip to the pantomime organised by the staff, and is as well as to be expected.
During the time my husband has been a resident at the home, we have been very pleased with all aspects of his care. We are always made welcome when visiting, regardless what time we go or, being a large family, no matter how many of us arrive! I don't think we would find another care home to equal the love and genuine care shown to both residents and all the family at all times.
