View Full Details of Rochester Care HomeI could not have wished my friend to be in better care. Thank you to everyone.
This was my first visit to see my aunt. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. My aunt's room was lovely and clean and all her possessions were carefully stored, making her comfortable and relaxed.
Dad needed urgent admission following a fall at home. The manager saw us within half an hour and Dad was admitted the next day. An impressive start! Dad established an immediate rapport with the manager and staff, and the safe, welcoming atmosphere has resulted in remarkable improvements in his appearance, appetite, sense of humour, and motivation. Many thanks to everyone for their support and genuine caring engagement with Dad, and for welcoming us when we visit. They have given the whole family great peace of mind.
All staff are fantastic, also the entertainment they bring to residents are fantastic. The 2 ladies who organise the entertainment are fantastic. The staff cares for the patients, also the quality of the food is fantastic. Also very organised and very, very clean there. Management there are also fantastic. I hope I am brought here when I am old and fragile.
Since moving my mum into Rochester Care Home, she has been a lot happier. We find the overall running by the carers and the management to be exceptional.
As soon as l walked into this home l was given 1st class treatment by the lovely Manager. She went over and above to place my ex Husband who l had been caring for for the last 4 years. He was given a room and could move in the following day. I cannot praise all the staff enough. Every single one together with the Manager. Were absolutely brilliant. I was totally exhausted and they took over and got everything moving so quickly, that I would go as far as to say the Manager was my lifesaver. It is an excellent home and all the residents are extremely happy and so well cared for. The home is the best home I have visited and feel extremely lucky to have placed my ex-husband there.
Mum was a resident of Rochester Care Home for nearly 6 years. I cannot thank the manager and her wonderful team enough for all they did for her while she was there. She could not have been in a better place for the last years of her life. As a family, we have got to know the staff as dear friends who have always greeted us with a cheery smile and 'gone that extra mile' for all involved. Mum spent the last two weeks of her life receiving palliative care. She was treated with dignity and compassion. My family have felt very supported by the manager and her staff during this difficult time for which we are truly thankful. We cannot praise Rochester Care Home enough for the work they do.
Rochester Care Home were really welcoming on our arrival with my nan. The staff are all really friendly and approachable and nothing is too much trouble.
My mum moved into Rochester Care Home after it was not safe for her to stay at home any more. The change in her has been amazing, she's gone from being in bed almost all the time barely able to walk to sitting in the lounge and getting up by herself and walking with a frame in just a few weeks. The staff and manager are friendly and I'm sure Mum will continue to do well under their care.
After living with me for many years, my mum's condition became such that she needed more care than I was able to give. She had started wandering and being unsafe in the house. I was so lucky to be able to secure her a place here, where she is cared for 24 hours a day. The staff are so caring and supportive, they have fun with the residents, it's a home as opposed to a care facility. So pleased my mum is here.
After a year of upheaval, Mum has found somewhere where she is happy, content and looked after to the highest of standards. We have noticed such an improvement. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble.
On visiting the care home we were impressed by how welcome we were made to feel. The room was lovely and calm, cleanliness was excellent you all should be proud of making a lovely place that the residents can call home. We have peace of mind, knowing my sister is so well cared for, bless you all.
I went to visit my auntie who has now been put on palliative care. From the moment we entered the reception, the staff were welcoming, friendly and very respectful. They do a wonderful job. You can see the residents are looked after here. The room was cheerful, and clean and was made to feel homely. The radio was on and the bed was placed facing the window so she could look outside. Sometimes it’s these little things that make a real difference to bring a little be of comfort in what is very sad circumstances. This home is brilliant at organising activities for the residents to keep them occupied and entertained. Keep up the good work and thank you for what you do for my auntie as well as all the other residents under your care.
My nan has lived in this care home for 4 years & throughout all of this time, I have always felt that she has been well cared for & an array of fantastic activities to keep her engaged if she wanted. They know each resident really well & nothing has ever been too much trouble. All the staff here work extremely hard & treated my nan with love, care, respect & time. Nan sadly passed away this week aged 100 & the way the manager & her team have helped us all through everything was second to none & I can’t thank them all enough for making a difficult time just a little bit easier. These people here will always have a special place in my heart. If I had to name those who went above & beyond, the list would be very long! This care home is real & its staff genuinely care about their residents & families. It was emotionally overwhelming to see just how much they loved Nan but truly lovely also. It’s like an extension of my family here now with both residents & staff. Thank you.
At the end of November, I had a fall and broke my hip. I was in hospital for 2 weeks and whilst there, I had no concerns or worries about my mother as I knew you would take excellent care of her and keep her safe. She became a permanent resident in June and since then, she is a lot happier, eating well and enjoying all the activities. Manty thanks to all the carers and management.
My mum passed away on 25th October aged 100 years old. She had lived at the home for three years. Everyone at the home treated her with respect and great kindness. During her last few days, she was kept comfortable and pain-free. We were able to stay with her all day and at night we were given armchairs, pillows and blankets as well as food and endless cups of tea. As a family, we cannot praise the staff highly enough and I feel they all genuinely felt sad at Mum's passing.
We found our experience very positive. There is a warm and friendly atmosphere as soon as you enter the building. The building looks warm and inviting. Staff are very pleasant and welcoming. The rooms are laid out well and it's great that each person can make their room their own.
I have always found the staff to be extremely helpful and caring around any issues with my mother-in-law. She seems happy in her own way and gets involved with most of the activities that go on.
My mother passed away on October 25th. I can't praise the staff enough. From the management down, all the staff were so caring to her and her family and organised her pain control. They stayed with her when we went home for a few hours, even in her last two or three days. Nothing was too much trouble; keeping us supplied with food and drink and arranged for us to stay overnight with her. Her end-of-life care was given with gentle dignity, talking to her all the time. I will miss everyone at the home. Thank you all again.
Welcomed with lovely smiles and smells fresh and spotless. Always offered a drink and biscuits.
