View Full Details of Admiralty Care HomeI just wanted to drop you a quick line to thank your staff for all their help with mum today. As requested, she looked lovely for her trip out to the hospital and when she saw her daughter later in the day, she commented on how well she looked. We greatly appreciated this as her youngest daughter has been quite unwell for some time now and seeing her mum look so healthy gave her a real lift. The care staff helped us manoeuvre mum into the car and we learnt a lot from the techniques that were used, and we are hoping that this will result in us being able to take her out more often. Please pass on my thanks to your wonderful team who always treat mum with care and respect.
My dad had been a resident at Rogers House Care Home for over four years until his death in 2022 (July). He was always treated with dignity and the utmost respect. Not always the most op-operative of residents. He was always clean, fresh, dressed and cared for beautifully. His room was always clean and tidy smelling fresh and comfortable. Every single member of staff were friendly, supportive, accommodating and professional throughout Dad's time in the home, towards both him and his family. As dad deteriorated and his Alzheimers/Dementia took him away from us Rogers House became his home, safety and family, something we were forever grateful for. Thank you.
Exemplary care is always given to the residents ensuring dignity is maintained at all times. The staff are fab, and supportive to our family for the past four years allowing dad to spend his last few years comfortable and safely. We all miss you all and cannot really put into words how we really feel. Thank you so very much just does not cut it but is heartfelt.
Since my wife went into permanent care at Rogers House she has quickly become used to her situation and it has taken all the worry from me. The staff are to a person all friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere is very relaxed. The care home is clean, tidy and very well presented.
Found Roger's House very friendly, great staff who always welcome you. They look after our friend in the home very well. It's clean and homely.
I couldn't be more grateful for the care my mum receives at Rogers House. Every member of staff I've met has been warm, friendly, and reassuring to both me and mum. I feel completely reassured that mum is being looked after 24 hours a day in every way from care, activities, and plenty of tea! Thank you.
The staff in its entirety must be commended for their hard work, compassion, and commitment in these difficult times. I can honestly say that my mother has never been cared for more affectionately or attended to more thoroughly than now. She really is very very content and we as a family are eternally grateful. We cannot thank the staff enough. Their dedication to the happiness of the residents in their care is beyond admirable.
Mum has been well cared for since moving to Rogers House during lockdown in October 2020. Unfortunately, covid meant that visiting was limited till earlier this year but overall mum seems happy in Rogers House. Staff shower her every day and she is quite happy with the food and also takes part in as many activities as she is able to. The manager keeps us informed of any changes to procedures as a result of covid including visiting arrangements and any lockdown consequences. Unable to fully review some areas as, due to covid, not seen the home in full.
Rogers House was recommended by an independent 3rd party, who lived locally, when we were looking for a respite stay for our aunt. She settled well during her respite stay and expressed her liking for Rogers House. Thus we were pleased to secure a permanent residency when it was needed last year. Our aunt is very happy at Rogers House. She has been looked after well, enjoys the company of the other residents, uses the facilities for socialising and responds positively to thoughtful/sensitive care when occasionally reluctant to do something. Not everything is perfect but if there is a minor breakdown in the services provided by Rogers House (e.g. occasional delay in responding to an e-mail) it is no different to those experienced in our own lives outside of the care system. Indeed the staff always try to respond promptly to our concerns if and when they arise. In overall terms, we are very pleased with Rogers House and the team, especially given the extra work posed by Covid-19.
It's a very homely home and the staff that I have dealt with seem helpful and cheerful. Mums general appearance could be better but I know she gets dressed before the carers have time to get to her in the mornings. Maybe the evening would be better for her to have showers and hair wash. Mum does put on dirty clothing so I think these need to put in her laundry basket in the evening too. I think the long COVID lockdown has definitely made her more confused and needs a bit more help.
Due to covid we have had limited access to my sister who has only been in the home since August 2020. Therefore unable to comment on food/drink/activities. Communication from the management is poor and weak, in the main, this is driven by the family. The care staff are good but poor management structure appears to make it difficult for staff to provide the full level of care. Nine times out of ten my sister appears to be dressed in clothes not provided by the family and are food-soiled. I also have concerns around her mental state of mind, it also seems difficult to get her medication/treatment correct. We would welcome further assessment/medication review in order to make my sister more comfortable.
My husband has Alzheimer's. My husband has been many times for respite; this visit was six weeks as lockdown made him so miserable. Their care is efficient, but also warm and friendly. He has come back relaxed, happy and chilled.
Rogers House is homely, friendly and the staff are wonderful. The food is very good, and the standard and support is value for money. All the facilities are clean and safe, and we could not feel more at home when we visit.
My mother was a resident at Rogers House for just over two years. During that time we found the level of care she received to be excellent. The staff were very kind to Mum and I always found them to be very positive. The last three months of her stay were quite challenging after she fells and broke her pelvis, but Rogers House stepped up the level of care she needed and provided her with a hospital bed and a downstairs room which enabled myself and my brother to visit her and spend valuable time together during her final days.
From the first day that my Mum moved into Rogers House, it was like a huge weight had been lifted off my Brother and I. The staff at Rogers House were all wonderful. They treated Mum with dignity and respect as if she was their own mum. I was so impressed with how they treated all the residents. the home itself was lovely, well kept and clean and the food was fantastic! My Mum passed away at Rogers House and all the staff was so thoughtful and caring.
Welcoming, efficient, clean, comfortable and good food. All that we required.
Following a spate of respite care, my mother was admitted on 30 May to Rogers House and accepted for permanent residency. I wish to express my feelings of complete satisfaction and peace of mind this has given me. The care is exceptional, the staff are amazing, friendly, professional and welcoming to relatives. The facilities and amenities are superb. I could not ask for more from the management and their team of carers. Thank you.
Dad was totally relaxed and was content after settling in having lost mum. He had a constant discussion with staff and felt that he belonged. He has nothing but the highest compliments to give to the kitchen staff with a variety of food and its freshness. One disadvantage was never knowing who were staff without some form of standardised uniform. Thank you.
Mum's first time in respite care and we were all very impressed with Rogers House. Mum enjoyed her stay and said the people were kind. The food was good and she was looked after well. Levels of care are evidently excellent. Rogers House is friendly and homely and spotlessly clean. Staff are very professional and helpful. Our thanks to you all.
My relative has been in Rogers House for over five years now and has always been very happy there. He is treated courteously and with dignity and the staff understand his sense of humour. I feel he is very safe in his surroundings and treats it like home. Indeed, I feel very comfortable when I go away that he is in very good hands. I would strongly recommend Rogers House to others (as it was also recommended to me).
