Mum loves it and everyone at Larkrise, shes been there a long time now (but thinks its only about 3 weeks bless her!) but yes, everyone loves her (shes no trouble) and we as a family, love everyone there too. Nothing is no trouble, always friendly, always there to advise and talk over troubles (which there are none!) but always available to talk to and very very friendly. We're so very grateful to them for looking after out mum, a great choice taken all those years ago - Thanks a million x
First class care home. Staff very engaging with residents. Plenty of activities for residents to occupy themselves with. They have bingo, exercise classes and pet ponies. are some of the things they do. The staff are very very good. I would live there in a heartbeat.
Everything 100%
Mum has been a resident at Larkrise for over 2 and a half years and is very content and settled. Directly you walk into reception you are made to feel welcome and all the staff; reception, admin, care teams, domestic and maintenance are all very friendly. The activities are varied and plentiful which keeps the residents entertained. Visitors are quite welcome to join in with these which is lovely - the recent refurbishment of the home has given it a lovely bright and clean finish which adds to the welcoming atmosphere. All the staff are very attentive and the residents are well looked after. I am so pleased that we found such a lovely home for Mum.
My mother had to be moved from a Care Home to a Nursing Home, Larkrise, was the one we chose as it was St John Trust and gave her a lovely room and the care she needs 24 hours a day, with everything, from nursing to dressing/ washing her. She is very happy there and loves the entertainment of music, she loves watching people. She has Alzheimer's but is very happy in her own world.
My sister has been living here for 2 years. She settled in very quickly and made to feel very comfortable. She is so happy and loves all the activities as which there are plenty. The carers are always on hand for whatever they need, very caring and respectful. When we visit we are always made to feel welcome. Would recommend to anyone.
We live a distance away and are always made welcome even if we arrive during an activity. A great place with helpful and friendly staff - would recommend to anyone.
A very relaxed and well-organised nursing home. The staff are great, nothing is too much trouble. There are so many activities to participate if you want to. Can talk to the nursing staff with ease. All around a lovely, lovely home. I would recommend it to anyone.
Mum has been at Larkrise for two years and the staff have always looked after her and the family with care and kindness. Can't thank them enough for all they do.
Lovely welcoming care home. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. The home is very professionally run. I cannot praise this home enough for the caring way all the staff attended to my mother. Highly recommended.
Larkrise provides excellent care for my mother. The care home is well run. Staff and management are very friendly and offer excellent care. The facility is very clean and tidy.
My mum was in Larkrise for respite, they have been amazing. She has dementia and is normally very anxious when I’m not around for long periods. This was the first respite where I have come back and she had been so happy and engaged. They did so much with her and really made an effort to make her feel at home and comfortable. Their care and the effort made to get to know Mum in a short space of time, I’m so pleased. Can’t thank the staff enough.
Wonderful welcome as soon as you walk in. I cannot praise the staff highly enough, excellent care for my sister from the moment she moved in and she is so happy there. Care and attention are given to everyone, such a lovely atmosphere, sincerely thank you to all the staff, they are angels.
I found Larkrise welcoming and comfortable. Caring staff were friendly and capable. My room was spacious and well-appointed. Staff responded promptly to the bell system.
Dedicated staff, very reassuring as mother needs a lot of care.
My father was a resident for 3 years but sadly passed away last week. The staff have always looked after him well and with respect at all times. During his last few weeks there, the staff were wonderful to him and myself and my sister making sure we were well water and fed. Also, the other residents would come in and talk to us. I would highly recommend Larkrise for your loved ones to go to be safe care for. The food is excellent.
The staff are very polite and friendly. They are always there to help. The food is good, and they do her washing. The room is always clean and tidy, and nothing seems too much trouble. The management team are really good and very friendly.
Very happy with this place, and so is my dad. He was in another home to start with and hated it and was often talking about not wanting to be there anymore. He wished he was dead. Have never had that here - no more moaning, so less stress for me.
My mother has been a resident of Larkrise for nearly six years During this time she has received excellent care with respect and dignity. The staff are friendly and helpful and always engaging towards my mother. She lives in a warm, safe and secure environment and is happy which gives great peace of mind to me and my family. I sincerely thank all the staff at Larkrise.
I have given a lot of consideration to writing this review, as although my mum has been in Larkrise for ten months, only recently, due to the easing of covid restrictions, have I been able to make a fair and informed appraisal. Previous assumptions on my part, were as a result of feeling isolated from Mum's care after being integral to her everyday existence. Once allowed in, the pressure and difficulties staff are presented with each day became apparent to me and my understanding changed. The staff are attentive, sympathetic, helpful and seem to interact well together, as I imagine, co-operation and mutual support are essential to their roles as carers. Residents are treated with dignity, standards of cleanliness are high. There is a family atmosphere, which must be hard to achieve with such a wide-ranging collection of residents. The activities team are enthusiastic, attentive and innovative, when sometimes it must be hard to see a vision come to fruition. I cannot end this review without some mild criticism. As it's the height of summer it's a shame a little more attention cannot be given to the garden.
