View Full Details of Rosebank Care HomeMy husband has advanced dementia and has been a resident in Rosebank for nearly 2 yrs . I have been very pleased with how he has settled and he seems contented whenever I visit. The staff are all very approachable and willing to address any issues I might have. There are daily activities which all residents can take part in if they wish. The food is very good and the menu is varied and flexible . The atmosphere as you enter the home is very positive with a calm atmosphere and cheerful staff. It is very well run and I would not hesitate to recommend it.
My'Godmother has dementia. When it became clear she needed full time residential care, Rosebank shone out. It was a bit like house hunting when you walk through the door and you immediately feel you are home. The personal touches are everywhere, staff are never far away and always have time to help or just chat with the residents or guests, but hidden within this homely atmosphere is a daily programme designed to stimulate and encourage through fun activities. Our Godmother was housebound and rarely left her bedroom until she moved to Rosebank; now with their encouragement she is making friends again and has regained a smile we thought had gone forever!
My mother-in-law has been a resident at Rosebank for 4 months. She is well cared for and always appears happy when we visit. After months of concern before moving to Rosebank she now leads a full life with lots of activities and outings which we could never have provided at home. The food is varied and wholesome and the staff very caring and approachable. We are kept updated by their message group chat which is a lovely way of seeing how settled she obviously is. I would highly recommend Rosebank to anyone making this difficult decision for a loved one.
Rosebank provides excellent care. The staff are extremely caring and work very hard to keep the residents safe and happy. There is always a varied programme of activities going on. It is always a pleasure to visit. We are so pleased that we found Rosebank and have no hesitation in recommending it to other families.
I live at a distance from Bampton but was able to visit my mum in March. She is well, clearly well cared for and I am able to rest easier knowing both those things. Rosebank’s facilities are good, the catering is good and the staff are very caring and respectful, offering imaginative and creative activities for the residents.
My mother has been a resident at Rosebank for just over a year now. We have been so impressed with how well kept the facilities are and how welcoming the staff are. When you walk in you feel like you are in a lovely home. There is a great menu daily and wonderful excursions and activities to keep everyone occupied. I look forward to their monthly newsletters which always have lovely photos which we cherish. I feel very fortunate that we found Rosebank and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a care home.
Very welcoming and caring. Addresses people including resident by first name. Appears to know them well.
We are always welcomed into the home by very pleasant, happy carers and made to feel very welcome. We are always offered refreshments and the staff are always willing to talk to us and listen to and act on any requests we might have regarding my husband. He is always kept very clean and tidy and seems to be happy.
Friend of resident, visiting weekly since January 2023, usually stay for about 30-40 minutes. Previously came with member of the clergy for the monthly communion service. Experience is good, staff are helpful, friendly and welcoming.
My dad has been at Rosebank for a couple of years now and the care he receives has been outstanding. He really enjoys the film nights and the local outings - and the staff always keep me up to date with how he's doing. Visitors are warmly welcomed and the staff always take the time to chat with me about my dad. We were so lucky to find Rosebank and it really is a great weight off my shoulders knowing my dad is so well cared for.
My aunty transferred into Rosebank from a care home in Cheltenham back in July, and thanks to the skills of the Rosebank team settled in quickly. The care she has received from all the staff since then I can only describe as outstanding. Due mainly to her dementia my aunty can be 'difficult' but I have never seen her treated with anything but care, understanding and respect. She is given the opportunity to take part in activities and engage with others (and to our amazement after 4 years of her refusing to venture outside of the confines of a care home was persuaded to take part in a shopping trip to local shops), and we are kept informed of any developments concerning her care. The home itself always has a warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere, and we feel very fortunate that she is being looked after in Rosebank.
My mother has nothing but praise for the caring and attentive staff. She has so much fun, including bowling, petting ponies, visits from all sorts of animals and enjoying just relaxing with her TV and snacks. A kind, caring and safe environment where I know Mum is always well-supported.
I have not observed personal care. However, I am always made welcome when I arrive and am offered a cup of tea. The resident seems happy and settled. The overall standard seems to be good. There is evidence of attending activities. The tea trolley is well stocked.
I cannot thank everyone at Rosebank Care Home enough. My mother was so well looked after throughout her stay here. I would recommend this home to anybody needing care for a family member. The end of life care was absolutely amazing, not just for Mum! I was looked after so well during the long hours of my visits before Mum passed away. Thank you so much to all of you.
I am so pleased Mum moved into Rosebank six months ago, after a pretty traumatic time in hospital then a temporary care home. With dementia and poor mobility, she was overwhelmed, confused and under-weight. On arrival, it was as if a huge weight had lifted from us all. The staff are a wonderful team; catering, maintenance, housekeeping, activities and management provide that all-round care that allows Mum to feel valued, relaxed, well cared for and safe. She eats well and enjoys a wide range of activities: trips out, time in the garden, exercise classes, hair-dos, crafts, films, music and more. She has a lovely room where the family can meet to enjoy private quiet time, but the residents and staff are a community who spend time together. Care extends to us as well; a cup of tea is always on offer, along with updates of what she has been doing. I feel comfortable and relaxed when I pop in to see her. I looked at a good number of care homes and this is the place you would want for your loved one.
Pleased with the quality of care for my mum. The staff are always polite, considerate and all know my mum well and her personal care needs. The only constructive feedback I can offer to review would be to: log, date and sign by P.O.A any jewellery which is to be kept safe, or sign a disclaimer that if left on and it goes missing it clears responsibility for the care home. Also, different staff feedback different things when visiting, so this is confusing to know the right answer.
We can't fault the care that Rosebank Care Home provides for our mother. The attention to detail is amazing and every member of staff knows Mum personally. She is clean and well kept. We feel very happy that Mum's needs are being met and can't recommend Rosebank enough.
I am so pleased that my mother is in Rosebank Care Home. The staff see her as the warm and funny person she always was and still is, even though she understands very little and makes very little sense. They hug her, make her laugh, sing with her or dance with her. Everyone tells me how much they love her. She was quite unwell recently, so my brother and I were there in her room as a member of staff gently woke her up, welcomed her back with a smile and patiently helped her to drink a glass of water, a task I would have thought impossible until I saw her do it. She showed so much kindness and common sense and I left utterly reassured, knowing she was in the safest of hands.
As a family, we have been blown away by the outstanding care my gramp has received. The team made him feel safe and welcome from the moment he walked in. The activities the team arrange are absolutely fantastic! Thank you for making this tough time that much easier.
Rosebank is a wonderful care home with a real family feel. It feels like a real home and being relatively small, everyone there knows the staff and fellow residents. The activities team are very active and there is always something going on for the residents who enjoy joining in. Trips and outings are a regular feature in the warmer weather. Also, the garden is a lovely and safe place for residents to enjoy the outdoors. It is also a great place to meet with family in the warmer weather - very efficient heating allows outdoor meetings in the spring and autumn too.
