View Full Details of Dungate ManorI am well looked after by the carers. I love this home and I feel safe here.
As my family don't come to visit me often the team spend good quality time with me and I feel safe and protected.
Was visiting my lovely lady and it was on Remembrance Sunday. Great atmosphere and the residents all soaking up the music as well as the atmosphere. Can't believe how fortunate we have been. The team there are so empathetic and are just so kind. They've been great. Wasn't that long ago we celebrated my lovely lady's 102 birthday. That was a day to remember. Nothing is too much trouble for the team.
I feel happy here. Staff treating me well and respected. I enjoy activities and food.
I feel fully supported by the team, respecting my dignity and choice of food when they take their time to help me.
I enjoy the food and I am still able to visit my parents. The staff are kind to me.
Sadly my father was a resident at Dungate Manor for only a short time before he died. However, during his stay there he was treated with compassion and the level of care provided was exemplary. Dungate Manor is such a warm and friendly home full of cheerful and caring staff and I will always be grateful to them.
I like the staff here. They help me with all my care needs. I enjoy activities, mainly quizzes and modelling kits.
Last week my father, only a few weeks away from his 89th birthday, peacefully passed away. He had been a resident at Dungate Manor for the past five years and I know these final years were joyful for him. The managers and the care staff treated my father, as they do all the other residents, like a family member. This deep care and sincere compassion continued until his very end. My sister and I were allowed to stay at our father's bedside for the last two days of his life and we were superbly looked after by the Dungate team. I just want to thank the managers and the staff (day and night shifts) for everything they did for my father. Myself and my sister and her husband cannot thank you enough.
My mum arrived at Dungate in March 2022. She was 84 at the time and was struggling with severe dementia. The staff at Dungate welcomed her with open arms and made her 18-month stay with them a happy one. I always felt she was so well looked after. My mum needed round-the-clock care. I loved the way the carers cuddled her and made jokes with her and made her laugh. My mum would laugh and her eyes would light up when they chatted with her. The staff really understood my mum so well, they‘d all taken the time to get to know her. Dungate is a happy place. The residents are encouraged to spend their day downstairs with the other residents, this was so good for my mum. She thrived on watching what was going on as she couldn’t read or watch the television. Dungate Manor is a very special place, it has a real family feel. I really can‘t thank the staff enough at Dungate for all the love they gave my mum. Dungate deserves a hundred stars. Thank you for taking such great care of my mum.
I wish I could give Dungate Manor 10 stars. My father lived there for the final two and a half years of his life. He had severe dementia and needed a high level of care and I cannot fault them on a single aspect of his care. Residents are treated with love, compassion and dignity. The atmosphere in the home is incredible, it truly is like one big family. Within weeks of my father being there, it was clear to me that the staff were really getting to know him. They would tell me things he had said or done which proved to me they were spending time with him; things like little quirks of his personality or classic things he said that they could only know by being by his side. My father died peacefully in Dungate in November 2023 and I was with him throughout his final week. I was already happy with the home but the love and care the staff showed both my father and me went above and beyond, I will be eternally grateful for their wonderful care. Dungate Manor truly is the best care home.
Very happy with the care I receive. I like my room. I like Asian food. I like activities. I go to the Day Centre.
My father has been a resident of Dungate Manor for nearly five years now. We were blessed when we found Dungate. From the moment Dad stepped into his new home they have consistently tended to his every need. The whole team are professional, compassionate and work tirelessly to ensure a safe, caring environment. They provide unique personal care tailored for every individuals need. Great care is also made to the comfort of all residents with lovely surroundings, updated soft furnishings, continued decoration updates that all add to it having the feeling of being a ‘home’. We could not be happier with Dungate Manor. Five star plus for sure.
My mum has been living at Dungate Manor since January 2023. She has found settling in hard having lived very independently at home until she became unable to care for herself any longer. The kindness she has been shown by all the staff at Dungate has been outstanding and my family and I can’t thank you all enough for making her life as happy as it can be. You are all very special and I feel my mum looks upon you as her extended family. Thank you, manager and team.
I looked around many care homes before deciding upon Dungate Manor. Dungate Manor stood out from all the rest because of its buzzy, friendly atmosphere and the professionalism and caring attitude of all the staff I encountered. I was not disappointed. I visited at random times and always found the staff to be caring and friendly in all their interactions. They were thoughtful and resourceful in addressing my father’s needs and always welcoming and attentive.
I feel safe and cared for and materially cared for. I am well-fed and kept warm and safe. The staff are caring and you can always talk to them about how you feel and if you are in need of anything mentally or physically.
During my wife's time at Dungate Manor when she had Parkinson's she only experienced kindness and outstanding care. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff in making her comfortable and providing good nourishment, entertainment, and a positive attitude in a situation of declining health. Visiting times were very flexible and encouraged for all the family to see her for both her husband, children and grandchildren. Good advice was provided going forward for both financial and care provision which was helpful and reassuring. Thank you so much for your help and kindness.
We really couldn’t have picked a better environment for Mum. The staff were excellent and handled mums and our needs with the utmost care and dignity. They really made us feel special through exceptional communication with a personal touch and with beautiful and peaceful surroundings on the home’s grounds we knew mum felt safe and comfortable. Many thanks for all your hard work!
It is really sad that Mum is no longer with us and not living at Dungate Manor. As a family, we have some very happy memories of her living there and really miss everyone who looked after her. The manager and all his staff were absolutely amazing. She initially visited on a daycare basis then as her health declined she became a resident. She had a beautiful room looking out to the golf course which seemed such a personal touch as she loved her golf. The fantastic care and support for her and us as a family was exceptional and we will never forget you all. Thank you!
Being an adult under 50, and having a complex medical history for both physical and mental health, it is extremely difficult to find a care home that will even consider taking me. I needed emergency respite back in June 2022 and that lead me to realize that the care I was receiving in my own home was totally inadequate. I felt safe in a caring environment for the first time in years. Every aspect of my care needs are being met with respect and dignity. I had a huge input in my care plan and worked closely with the manager here to achieve a care plan that is totally tailored to my individual needs with both my physical health and my mental health requirements. I have become far more independent here, I have gained confidence, and found my own voice and strength. This has been achieved through the careful management of a team that works well together.
