The home is clean and fresh with no odours. The staff are all very welcoming and friendly and very attentive to residents' needs. The resident states he is very happy with everything. He has been on quite a few outings and there are activities if he wishes to join in.
My husband has been at Greenacres since February. He found it difficult at first but has settled in well now. The staff are all helpful and friendly. It's nice to be able to visit at any time. I would certainly recommend Greenacres.
I visit my dad at the care home. He has advanced Alzheimer's yet he is always relaxed and content. He is very well looked after, nothing is pushed unnecessarily onto him, he is treated with respect and within reason, enabled to make simple choices and indicate preferences. No one gets agitated with him, despite his clarity in speaking beginning to terminally fail.
I moved my mum into Greenacres on the 23rd of December 2023. I've been very impressed with the team, they have made my mum and the family very welcome. The care they are giving my mum is exceptional. I'm able to visit whenever I want and have always found her to be well looked after. A very good home.
My father has lived at Greenacres since February, and as a family, we are incredibly grateful to all the staff for looking after him so beautifully. We cannot fault any aspect of his care, and we are always very reassured to see how well he is being looked after. The staff are always very kind and helpful and manage all aspects of his care with great professionalism. The team have taken the time to get to know Dad as a person and treat him with respect and compassion at all times. They are also very responsive to us as a family and keep us well-informed.
Mum has been a permanent resident at Greenacres for a year now. She has a lovely bright, clean, well-decorated en-suite room and is very happy. The staff are amazing! They are kind, considerate, respectful and immensely helpful. She has had many health issues and the staff have dealt with them immediately, they recognise when medical intervention is needed and act on it. I am a nurse myself and am impressed with their actions. The food is varied, well-cooked and well-presented by the carers. Mum's personal hygiene needs are met at a time that suits her and not just when the carers are ready. They really do go the extra mile to ensure Mum feels she is at home. Thank you to all of you for all you do.
Our lifelong friend who lived with us for many years moved to the home earlier in the year. They settled in well and we visit several times a week. The resident says they are very happy there and informs us (quote) " I am living my best life as there is something going on every day". The staff are always very friendly and helpful.
Dad was admitted from hospital to Greenacres care home in August 2024. He has dementia and was having falls that resulted in hospital stays, so it was felt he would be safer in a care home. We as his family were apprehensive as to whether Dad would settle, but from the first day, he was treated with kindness and compassion. His room is spacious with his own bathroom and overlooks the garden which is lovely. The menu is varied and Dad really enjoys his meals, snacks of fresh fruit and cake are available if residents want a snack available throughout the day. Fluids are so important as often the elderly don't drink enough, the staff encourage them with tea, coffee and fruit juices. The staff are always attentive and readily assist the residents in their personal daily care, cheerful and professional as they carry out their duties. Dad is so well cared for and we are delighted that Greenacres is his new home.
My uncle has been in Greenacres for 6 weeks., To date, I can say the care and attention to his needs has been excellent, the staff are all friendly and respond quickly to any requests. Overall the care home seems well run and above average to my limited knowledge.
My best friend's mum, whom I've known for over thirty years, became a resident at Greenacre, following a car accident in December 2023. Being a very spirited lady we were concerned about how she would deal with her change of circumstances. We couldn't have been more delighted, the staff are well trained, helpful and always cheerful. The meals are of a very high standard and they have afternoon tea/coffee and cake. My friend's mum loves it there, she's always chatting to the staff or doing an activity. The assistant manager is an extremely open, professional young man who has excellent customer service skills. The team leaders are always available, helpful and efficient as are the two amazing ladies on reception, in fact, I've never encountered any member of the staff less than first class. I would recommend this care home 100%
We were very lucky that my mother obtained a residency at the home. After many years of independent living (over 95+) and following a hospital stay after a sudden illness, she was assessed for future full-time care and we were offered a place at the home. The management and all the staff at Greenacres have been welcoming, attentive and caring and are always on hand to look after the residents' well-being and their families. The rooms are well appointed and there are excellent on-site facilities (a hairdressing salon, dining rooms on every floor with catering that provides a wide variety of food choices to suit all). Greenacres is like a home-from-home for the residents. The home also offers a variety of activities suited to the needs of the residents. Safety and security are also a high priority and very comforting. We would recommend Greenacres very highly.
My mother has recently moved into permanent residential care at Greenacre for the first time from home and I couldn't have asked for a better transition. The staff have been extremely helpful in all aspects, I couldn't fault the care staff who have been friendly, patient and really caring with her and I have witnessed with other residents. My mum has settled in really well and has already improved her mobility with the help of the care team. Very impressed.
Staff are always welcoming. Staff are always kind and considerate. My mother-in-law is treated with dignity and respect. We appreciate everything done for her. We appreciate the difficult and demanding job caring is. Thank you all.
I have found Greenacres to be very good. The staff are very good and caring. Mum is very happy here. There is a big change in her since she has been here. As she feels safe which is not the case at home.
In a world where everyone seems to complain I want to praise. My mum lives on the second floor and has outstanding care on a daily basis from three lovely members of staff in particular. This is overseen by three other outstanding members of staff. The reception lady is a brilliant front of house, two particular members of staff make up a very efficient management team. But I cannot praise highly enough one particular member of staff from reception, I actually thought she was one of the management team, maybe she should be! Nothing is ever too much trouble and she is constantly on the go ensuring that the resident's needs come first. She truly is an amazing asset for Anchor. There is also a beautiful spirited lady who volunteers, she worked at the home before retiring but finds time to come in and interact with the residents.
We have been happy with the care given to our friend over the past four years. However, her needs now increased from residential to nursing with more individual supervision required necessitating her move into a nursing home. The administration involved in leaving here has been handled very efficiently.
My mum was admitted to this lovely care home in December 2023. Being her daughter, I was very anxious, after visiting the care home I felt less anxious. The staff and management were so welcoming. My mum has dementia and has settled in so well. She is happy. I am so grateful to all the team at Greenacres. Thank you.
It was a huge decision for Mum to move to a care home, and after six months at Greenacres, we are very happy with our decision. We chose Greenacres because of the warm welcome we received on our first (unannounced) visit, and this has continued. Mum is settled in a lovely, bright en-suite room, well looked after and well fed. The staff are lovely. They have got to know Mum and offer plenty of opportunities to be active and go out. They spotted when she was unwell and took action. We would recommend Greenacres if you are looking for a care home with 1) a stable staff team who are always visible, 2) staff who do their best to give residents a good quality of life and 3) modern, well-kept buildings and gardens.
Great members of staff, extremely caring and very well trained. Very nice and clean everywhere. Staff were willing to help all the time I was visiting. I am very grateful for all the support given. Thank you a lot.
My father has been at Greenacres only a short time but so far the staff have been welcoming and have gone out of their way to ensure he is happy in his new environment. The accommodation is bright clean and cheerful, we have been able to bring pieces of furniture and hang photos and pictures on the walls to provide a homely atmosphere. Greenacres is a happy caring environment.
