Lovely care home, perfect for respite care for my mother-in-law whilst father-in-law was in hospital. She was reluctant to join in with the respite being 90 herself, she described them as old people. She loved to chat with the very friendly staff. We will definitely use Ridgemount again if needed.
Pleased that my Mum has settled well into her new home. The staff have all been very kind and helpful. It is a great comfort to know Mum is being well looked after.
Exceptional care as always for my Mother-in-law, the staff are fantastic with her and always keep us updated, she recently broke her hip and is now room-bound, the carers always ensure to put her radio on for her every morning so she has something cheery to listen too. She is always dressed beautifully and the carers take pride in her hair and nails, she always smells lovely. Thank you for looking after her so well.
Ridgemount has been a friendly, welcoming atmosphere for residents and visitors alike, for which I really do thank you from the bottom of my heart. Aren't the staff great with the way they handle residents are given so much care and attention, and they give their time to each resident, such a valuable commodity. My friend who was a resident must have arrived Jan or Feb this year, then passed away the first week of October. Though the home is secular, they were extremely tolerant of my friend's Christian beliefs. Outside entertainment was much appreciated. Thank you for allowing me to watch and participate in this aspect.
I visited a friend who I was previously caring for at home. I noticed how she was very happy and enjoyed the activities. The management team's approach was amazing and the staff are very professional. I am very impressed with the whole team.
Exceptional care, warm friendly reception staff. The staff keep you updated re the resident's care plan. The food is good the chef comes and speaks to the residents and asks them how the food is. The staff have a caring approach they tell the residents their names and talk them through things. Warm friendly home that treats people with dignity and respect and most importantly kindness.
My mother has just spent four weeks of respite care at Ridgemount. The lovely large respite room was clean and bright with a nice en-suite and comfortable bed. We brought items from home to make it feel familiar, and the maintenance man was there to help on moving-in day. The staff were very helpful and friendly and were quick to come if she pressed the call button. My mother usually ate her meals in her room due to mobility issues and enjoyed the meals despite feeling that they weren’t quite hot enough sometimes. A good experience for us as a family in this new venture of being in a care home.
I couldn’t be happier with Nan's care she is always well presented they ensure they put her jewellery on and she always looks lovely, the carers and other staff are all so warm and friendly and take the time to join in with the activities, listra was up dancing with Nan today! So lovely to see. Thank you for looking after her so well.
Since my mother-in-law cam to you in June, she has settled in really well, whenever we visit she is happy. The staff (all of them) are brilliant and so caring.
It is so nice to visit my mum and see her happy and smiling. She looks and feels healthier now than when she was at home alone. All the staff are very approachable and always smiling. As soon as we visited on the first occasion, we knew this was the place for Mum. It is always immaculate.
We were particularly pleased with the care and respect from the individual carers. My father said how kind all the staff had been. He also loved the food.
The care and support provided at Ridgemount for my mother has been excellent. The enthusiasm of the staff in assessing and then welcoming my mother to the care home was great to see and provided confidence that Mum would be well cared for in Ridgemount. This confidence was confirmed by the caring staff during her stay in the home. Unfortunately, my mother aged 92 died due to frailty of old age in the care home this month. The support that both my mother and I received during this sad time was very good. Thank you to all your staff.
My mum has lived at Ridgemount for over a year. During this time, she has improved in terms of eating and drinking regularly (she has gained much needed weight) and seems more engaged and happy. The staff are lovely and really look after the residents. They like my mum as she loves to chat and she is more like her normal cheeky self, thriving having company and people to talk to.
My weeks respite stay at Ridgemount was very happy. The carers were very kind and helpful and always responded to the button being pushed in less than 2 minutes. The food was good and I was given hot drinks whenever I wanted them. My room and ensuite were comfortable. There were church services in the home and music and entertainment most days.
Such a lovely home for my Nan. Staff always happy and so very caring. I popped in when they had a singer, that came for the Valentines event. He was amazing. My nan was up dancing and singing with staff and other residents.
My husband, with advanced Parkinsons, went into Ridgemount whilst I underwent surgery. He was there for three weeks and the carers were really kind, helpful and friendly. He had a good experience and, if needed, I would certainly use this care home again.
My sister arrived at Ridgemeount very anxious and apprehensive. The friendly and devoted staff greeted her and within a short space of time, she settled into the place she now calls home. All the staff go that extra mile to ensure your needs are met and you are happy. Her room was lovely and clean and the food served is excellent. There is nothing more she could wish for. Thank you everyone for an excellent job well done.
We first visited Ridgemount with Mum in January 2020 and as soon as we walked through their doors I knew this would be perfect for Mum. Everyone is so friendly, the facilities are modern, the rooms are clean, spacious and bright and the building itself is surrounded by beautiful gardens. The staff are exceptional, always welcoming, kind, understanding and compassionate. They went above and beyond to keep Mum safe and happy throughout the Pandemic and they continue to provide the highest level of care. I simply cannot recommend Ridgemount highly enough.
Since my Great Nan moved into Ridgemount I have only seen smiles and laughter. Lovely staff assist Nanny, she enjoys going to the musical entertainers and having her hair done. I could not have hoped for a better home for her.
I was faced with the unenviable task of finding a suitable care home for my wife, somewhere she would be happy and well looked after. She had often commented that she hoped she would never have to be placed into care. I visited various homes. Ridgemount Care Home impressed - well presented, well maintained and friendly staff - and I was aware of Anchor's reputation. In particular, I liked the idea of small groups of twelve sharing a dining room and lounge. My wife's ensuite room is ideal; light and airy, plenty of space and well furnished - and she's allowed to hang photos on the walls. My concern was that she may be upset or react at being in a place other than her own home. I need not have worried. There's always a positive reaction when I visit her and no sadness when I leave. She is happy, contented and well looked after by staff who listen to her and what she wants - the staff connect so well with the residents. She has quickly made it her own home. I am happy.
