View Full Details of LimegroveMy father came to Limegrove early this year. Although he had struggled to settle in first of all. The staff have been fanastic to help this process run as smoothly as possible. Everybody seems so friendly and helpfull and are all very professional in what they do. There are plenty of activities each day, which I believe he is joining in with and also the staff are incouraging that. Limegrove itself, is absolutley spotless for cleanliness and the Chef in the kitchen seems to go that extra mile with his meal plan etc. As a family, we know our father is being well cared for and that gives us all peace of mind. If ever there is a problem, we are notified very quickly . Thank you, to all the staff.
My father has settled in well over the last 4 months and the standard of care has been excellent. I feel there is a good level of staff, who are attentive, kind and positive. My father has had a couple of medical incidents since he arrived, which are to be expected from someone of his age, and I have been very reassured by the adherence of all the staff to what appear to me (as a non-expert but very interested party!) to be clear, comprehensive and effective protocols/ procedures. Furthermore, the level of communication from the staff has been very positive and reassuring for me. I am happy to recommend Limegrove without reservation.
For someone with dementia, moving to a care home is a double whammy; it's a feeling of loss of freedom at precisely the time they find it difficult to cope with change. Not all care homes fully appreciate this and the key is making the resident the focus. When we looked at Limegrove for my mother, we had a lot of questions. In answering one of them, one of the staff gave a very welcome insight for us. She said, "We don't have people living in our workplace; we are working in their home". Since my mother moved in at the end of September, this statement has been overwhelmingly proven. I am very happy to say that my mother could not be happier with the staff and it is plain to see Limegrove is constantly trying to meet every aspect of my mother's needs they can; health, safety, socialising, entertainment, fulfilment, creativity and so many other aspects. The home is well maintained, the staff are excellent and my mother is happy and well supported; what else is matters?
Thank you to all the staff who worked so hard to create a lovely family lunch for my mum, myself and my cousins who had travelled to see Mum. Mum really enjoyed it, lunch was very nice and great care was taken to give my Mum a 'dining out' experience. Thank you.
My mother has only been with you for a few months. She has had difficulty coming to terms with her new circumstances. All the staff have been brilliant, kind, helpful and supportive not only to mum but to the whole family. Mum is much happier, loves all the staff and is now comfortable with her new way of life.
On the whole, Limegrove is a comfortable home, and residents are looked after well. I find the rooms to be on the small side compared to other homes but comfortable, just not enough room for them to have a visitor or a few more personal belongings. It would be nice to have a lounge with a little light background music, instead of the TV on and most people falling asleep, as I find it difficult to talk unless one moves into the dining room. The staff do their best for which I'm very grateful.
My dear friend was a resident for nearly 2.5 years (she was the 2nd of my friends to reside in an Anchor home). The Limegrove staff were always caring and very approachable. Visitors are always made so welcome both by the receptionist and the carers. The end-of-life care was excellent and the resident, family and friends also cared for.
I have visited my mother recently and spend prolonged visits to the home. The level of care is exceptional and the quality of activities for residents is excellent. I didn't try the food but I understand it is also good.
I am so happy that my sister is in Limegrove and very safe. It is so welcoming, the staff are caring and so kind. It's so clean, the rooms and bedding, it's so nice to see. What I have seen of the food being served is just lovely. Myself and the family are very happy thank you.
Limegrove is truly a home full of care. My mother-in-law has been a resident for over four years and has received wonderful care. All the basic needs of cleanliness, nutrition and professional medical care are of a very high standard, but the staff give so much more than that. They have taken so much time and effort to ensure that my mother-in-law can get the most out of her life, and constantly review that as her needs change. A few weeks ago it was her 100th birthday and the staff were all very excited. On the day, they arranged a hair appointment in the morning, then decorated the whole unit with banners and balloons. A beautiful bouquet of flowers from Anchor Homes was in her room. A small party of relatives came to a party in the afternoon where there was a lovely buffet tea and birthday cake. Definitely above and beyond what they are required to do.
On arriving at Limegrove with my stepmother who suffered from advanced Alzheimers, I was very impressed with the levels of patience and understanding shown to the resident and the time and tolerance for me as all aspects of Limegrove were explained. Standards of care are high, food is very good and the atmosphere is great. My father has now moved in although he was initially only at Limegrove for respite but he too has found a home from home. This outcome has taken all the stress away from me - thank you!
We are very impressed with the care given to my stepmother. The facilities are excellent. The standard of cleanliness is also excellent. All member staff we have met a free friendly and professional. We feel that my stepmother is treated with dignity.
From the first visit to look around to present date, the service, friendliness and helpfulness of the staff has been excellent. My mum has settled in well and every need is attended to very quickly and efficiently. The trips are arranged for the residents, and the feedback is excellent. Christmas and all the activities arranged have been really enjoyed. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending Linegrove.
Excellent accommodation and facilities in a lovely rural location. Staff are very conscientious, caring and can't be faulted. My mother is now 102 years old and extremely happy living there. From what I have seen the food is excellent and the home is very clean and tidy and very efficiently managed. I would recommend it to anyone looking for peace of mind in the placement of their relative!
On visiting Limegrove for the first time I was struck by the sheer friendliness of each and every person I encountered as I was shown around the home. The cleanliness and fresh smell, the organisation and the feeling of home comforts, the gardens, the privacy if wanted. Each corner I turned was a beautiful surprise. It's home from home for the residents, I feel as much part of Limegrove, as I hope Mum will feel once she has settled in. She has been able to take her budgie with her. Today maintenance put up shelves and picture hooks so her lovely room can be truly hers. She has a tree outside her window where we can hang her winter baskets so she can see them each day. Some of her flowers we can bring and plant in the beautiful gardens. The team are just amazing, having Mum at Limegrove has given me the confidence that she will never be alone again and she is truly being cared for. They really have everything covered it's a pleasure to visit, I've been made so welcome.
Following a fall in his home in the last couple of weeks, my independent 100-year-old father has become quite frail. After a short stay at the hospital, I was able to bring my dad back to his house. I don't live locally and it was a stroke of luck when a kind and thoughtful person at the village pharmacy suggested I visit Limegrove Nursing Home. I can honestly say that I have been immensely impressed. The staff are patient and caring. The home is a happy and contented atmosphere. I have full confidence in the management and the staff.
My visitor friends and I feel so happy that all the staff are so caring and helpful. If we ask for their help in any way, they will do their best for us and patients. It always seems so happy and relaxed and any requests we have is never too much trouble. There is always a warm, welcoming feel to this care home.
My mum had been living at Limegrove with dementia for nearly six years when her health declined in July of this year. The end-of-life care which Mum received over the next month was excellent. Every member of the team was so kind and caring and tried to make Mum's last days as stress-free as possible. Their care for me and my family was also exemplary. I can thoroughly recommend them.
My mother stayed for three weeks respite care, allowing my wife and me to go on holiday. My mother normally lives at home but needs someone close by to make regular visits and to be on hand at short notice when help is required. Limegrove provided a safe and welcoming environment for my mother to stay, the staff are friendly and very caring, the facilities are excellent and there is a varied daily menu from which to choose meals. Regular activities are arranged and all the residents we met were very happy. My mother has since told me that she would be very happy to stay at Limegrove again.
We have been very pleased with this care home for my mother, who has dementia. The staff are professional, friendly and caring and although busy always make time if you have a query etc. After six weeks in residence, Mum seems to be settling slowly but surely. There is a feeling of control care and cleanliness about the place with a very good food menu, which is great to see. Thank you for looking after Mum!
