View Full Details of Redcot Residential Care HomeAs a family we had to find a respite home that suited our Dad who had been very poorly in hospital. A viewing was completed and we felt this was the home we would place Dad in, as we were confident he would thrive. All the staff were very welcoming and hard working. Dad settled in very quickly and enjoyed all aspects of his three week stay at Redcot. He had a lovely room that looked out onto the South Downs, he loved the view. The food was amazing and the staff were so friendly and the activities were great for Dad to participate in, especially the singing. Redcot offer a day visit, which is a brilliant idea and we will definitely use the service. Thank you to all at Redcot for your care and attention.
The whole team at Redcott are great, my mother has been a resident for over 12 months. During that time she has been so well cared for. The new Manager is a fantastic professional and without doubt, Redcot is in great hands and the high levels of care will continue. We know my mother is in the the right place with the right people. Key to the success of Redcot and a perfect indicator of any well-run organisation is the fact that staff turnover is minimal.
Overall, a caring team and comfortable, organised set up. Redcot Residential Care Home is a nice place to live with plenty of effort to engage with residents. The grounds are very pleasant, especially to sit out in the warm weather.
Mum has been a resident for just over one year. The staff are very caring and friendly and Mum feels as though she is in a comfortable home rather than an impersonal hotel. She is encouraged to join in the multiple activities which keep her entertained and adds stimulation to her failing memory. We are very pleased she chose this home when living alone became lonely and too much for her.
My mother was only at Redcot for the last few months of her life but the staff made those months comfortable and enjoyable for her. We were very pleased with the level of care she received, the varied diet with plenty of cake and the interesting talks and activities.
We moved Mum from another Surrey care home, which was good, but wanted her nearer our location and Redcot met that requirement. As a huge bonus Mum loves it at Redcot, especially the entertainment and social aspect of the home. There is a warm and friendly atmosphere with all staff and residents and the location and grounds are superb. Changing or just choosing care homes for loved ones is a big emotional decision for a family especially the proposed resident too. At Redcot we felt comfortable from the beginning and the manager visited Mum at her previous home to understand her personal needs and also her care needs from the staff at that home. The manager hit it off with Mum from that meeting and that made the transfer and settlement at Redcot so much easier.
A well-organised care home that looks after residents extremely well. My wife has been much happier now she is being professionally cared for. All the staff are very friendly and very helpful. Visiting is very easy and convenient.
Our mother has now been at Redcot for nearly 6 months, and she settled in very well remarkably quickly. She has benefitted from the stimulation of having other people around and has been eating well (which was a concern before she moved). She enjoys many of the activities, especially singing, and has developed some good friendships with other residents. She is looking forward to being able to enjoy the wonderful gardens if summer ever starts, but meanwhile, she can see its colours from her room, and from the communal areas. It is reassuring to know that we can come and go at any time we want to visit her, while also knowing that she is secure behind the door.
Mum has now been a Resident at Redcot for 7 months. She settled in immediately, enjoying the company of other residents and excellent friendly care staff, and now refers to it as 'her home'. She has the benefit of a large airy room and was able to bring some pieces of furniture and pictures with her. Taking part in the activities organised she is looking forward to the outings planned for this Summer.
The relief that we, as a family, have that Mum is safe and well cared for is immense. She settled in more quickly than we could have hoped for, in spite of being a little reluctant to go. Her mental capacity has improved significantly since she is eating well and drinking more than whilst living alone. She says the food is wonderful, and certainly the home-baked cakes etc at tea time are delicious. She talks to everyone as though she has known them for years. I believe there are activities but I’m not sure how often she attends or participates. The view from her room is stunning so it’s a shame she can’t appreciate it as well as she might. As family, we can come and go as often as we want and we can take her out to lunch. The staff are kind and caring and she is getting to know them all. Overall, it has been an easy transition and a less stressful experience than it might have been.
We have received a warm welcome and excellent care and advice since the first day. The staff are most attentive and friendly. The warm, caring atmosphere leaves us confident that Mum is in good hands.
Mum had to go into residential care after the sudden death of my father. We live in Haslemere and always thought that Redcot had a nice feel about it, so it was our first choice for a care home for her. It has turned out to be a very good decision. She was made to feel very welcome and a valued member of the community from the start. The staff are all very caring and take a great interest in every resident. Mum had great-grandchildren who were always welcomed by the staff when they visited. Redcot is like one big extended family living in a great, big, family house. Mum made it to her 100th birthday, and her birthday party coincided with the making of a promotional video by friends of the elderly, so she became a social media star in the 21st century.
Have always found the staff attentive, helpful, caring and importantly cheerful with residents and myself as a visitor. Redcot is always clean and tidy whenever one visits throughout the year. The Management and team always find the time to discuss any queries one has and will look into it speedily and professionally which gives peace of mind to relatives and visitors. The resident I visit is in need of some medical help and support which is always on hand when needed.
Redcot really is a five-star home! This is a beautiful, well-maintained and homely place with far-reaching views from many of the comfortable and spacious rooms. The staff are lovely and caring, with the long service of many reflecting the good management both at Redcot and by friends of the elderly. Residents enjoy excellent food and are occupied throughout the week with a wide range of activities and exercises. Redcot is a very happy and safe place.
I am very pleased with the help and support my mother receives from all of the care staff.
Redcot Residential Care Home has an extremely friendly atmosphere. I have been impressed from my first visit I am more than delighted that my very great friend has settled immediately. Well done to the manager and the staff.
My gran is very happy in Redcot Residential Care Home. It’s her new home and, more importantly, she feels like it’s her new home! It was so heartwarming to see her show my family and me around in and out of the care home taking the lead, it really made us feel welcome and that she was having guests over in the way that she felt the need to look after us! She loves the trips and activities that the care home has to offer and she’s always sociable. Whenever we arrive, she’s involved in conversation and the same when we leave. She’s got a lovely room with a lovely view and she loves spending her time in your beautiful garden!
Mum was not coping at home and reluctantly agreed to look at care homes in the Haslemere area. As soon as she looked around Redcot Residential Care Home she was smitten - such a homely place that does not feel like an institution at all. She moved in in August and is so happy at Redcot. She has a lovely room and makes great use of the terrace with its incredible views. The food is great, there are loads of activities and Mum has been on several trips. The staff are so empathetic and caring. Mum could not be happier and it is a delight to see.
The home has been consistently good. No agency staff and loyal carers who know Mum's needs very well. It is not a dementia home but as Mum's mind has got less clear, they show lots of patience and kindness to her.
Dad has been living at Redcot Residential Care Home for a year and three months. He enjoys it there, where he has made a nice group of friends, cheeks the carers with a bit of fun, is kept clean, medicated and well nourished. In this time he has gone from being very frail end of life to happy, stronger and healthier in this beautiful house and gardens with magnificent views and terrace.
