View Full Details of Ridgeway ManorRidgeway Manor cared for our uncle for just under three years. The homely environment and the high standard of personal care, both physical and emotional, meant that as a family, we were always confident that he was receiving the best attention. The respect, compassion, and kindness that he was shown, particularly during his final few weeks of life, was exceptional. We can't thank the team enough for all their support.
My brother is a resident at Ridgeway Manor. My wife and I have found the staff to be extremely helpful and friendly to us, my wife and I, and also my brother. He seems to be settling in well and the staff are very helpful to us and him. Many thanks.
My husband spent 2 weeks at the home. He was treated very well by all staff members. He was not very happy with some of the meals. He had a nice room with a small washing room. He would be happy to return if needed.
I have nothing but praise for the care the home. The staff are kind, caring and friendly always on hand when needed. I am always informed of any problems and treatment being provided. The manager is very approachable and helpful, my wife is always smart and tidy and, although she is unaware of her surroundings, appears content. Nothing but praise.
Ridgeway have looked after my mother now since March 2022 and they have been meticulous in their care for her. Food, drinks and entertainment have been wonderful. Personal hygiene has been professionally and sympathetically handled. I would have no hesitation in recommending Ridgeway and all their staff to anyone considering residency.
I am so happy with the care and love my mother-in-law received from the staff at Ridgeway Manor throughout her residency. Today she passed away quietly in her bed with her sons present. The communication and access enabled her family to be at their mum's side in her last days and hours were faultless. All the staff lined up to pay their respects as my mother-in-law was taken out of the Ridgeway. What a send-off, what more could you ask? Thank you so much to all the staff for their care and attention.
My mother received superb care by lovely staff in a beautiful but ageing building with extensive grounds. She was happy and comfortable to the end and the whole family appreciate the significant efforts made by the staff in caring for her. Medical treatment was implemented with diligence and compassion and Mum was always comfortable. Thank you.
Always happy with the care my family member receives. I know he is cared for and they are always so helpful with visits and appointments. Cannot thank the staff enough for keeping him safe, happy and healthy.
My mother has been living at this home for the last five years and she is very happy and well cared for. The staff are lovely and most of them have been there the whole time that my mother has been resident. They are really caring and my mother always looks very clean, tidy and well dressed. It is such a relief to have my mother living somewhere that is of such a consistently high standard.
My family member has been at Ridgeway Manor since 2017 and we have been extremely happy. Ridgeway Manor offers a safe secure environment and a lovely atmosphere. I personally have worked in social care for 20 years and this is by far the best care setting I have ever come across. We will never move my relative, she is very happy. Highly recommended to all.
Our dad has been in Ridgeway Manor since October 2019, when his dementia meant he could no longer live at home. Ridgeway was recommended to us by friends who had family members who had been residents, Dad is well cared for and happy at Ridgeway. The home has regular activities, and we particularly like that the residents are encouraged to be in the communal areas during the day, rather than being left in their rooms, as we saw in another care home we visited. The home is clean and warm, the staff are kind and friendly and there is minimal staff turnover. We are very happy with the care he receives, and our thanks to all the staff who make Ridgeway a safe and caring home. Highly recommended.
Ridgeway Manor is very much a 'home from home' with wonderful, caring staff and a minimal staff turnover. Always someone on hand to deal with needs even before they arise. A very happy community atmosphere within the sitting rooms and lovely bright, clean and well-maintained bedrooms for those who enjoy their own company on occasion. My mother has been at Ridgeway for four years, and I am local enough to be able to pop in regularly, so feel I have a good idea of the ethos of the home. I am kept fully informed of any events or concerns during my mother's increasing frailty (she is 99 years old), and management and staff are very supportive of her needs. She is comfortable and content within her Ridgeway family environment. I would highly recommend.
Since being at Ridgeway my ninety one year old father has experienced an amazing new lease of life! He had been at another local care home where he spent most of his time in bed, had to be hoisted in and out of bed to a wheelchair, with no attempt at rehabilitation. As soon as he moved to Ridgeway, he was much happier and the staff arranged for physio to help with his mobility issues immediately. Within weeks my dad was able to get in and out of bed without using a hoist and able to walk again with the assistance of a frame. He now enjoys life - joins in with all the activities, reads avidly, eats well, and has put on weight. He looks 20 years younger. I cannot fault the lovely staff at Ridgeway, carers that genuinely care about my dad's well being and quality of life. Thank you
Thank you to the Management and wonderful staff of this fantastic Residential Nursing Home. For over three years we have entrusted you with the care of my beloved father in law. You have looked after him with the love and compassion that would only be found within a family environment. Thank you for keeping him and the other residence safe with your covid 19 protection plans, by providing us with a safe environment to meet our loved ones away from the other residents and with the appropriate covid 19 tests being conducted before entering the building. The care and attention you have shown over this very difficult period, and to keep our family members safe and well goes well beyond the call of duty. Without any doubt, at all, I would recommend your Home to any potential family looking for a short or long term stay. This is a lovely, comfortable Home at a very competitive price……but above all the most passionate and caring staff.
Well, I don’t know where to start! My mum has been in the home since January 2021, she didn’t settle at first but this may have been because of the Covid. While in the home she managed to break her leg by falling. Unfortunately, she has been in a wheelchair ever since and there seems no hurry to get her to walk again and even though most homes allowed at least two relatives, Ridgeway stuck with only one and only for half an hour, so it was hard to see Mum. While in the home she lost her teeth, costing £700 to replace and her glasses another £300. So as we enter the Xmas period my mum's money ran out and would have to be state paid from 1st December. Mum then had a cough and went to the hospital on 26th November, on 29th November, the home called and said from 1st December they would not let her back in, and Social Services would have to find her somewhere else! In the middle of the Xmas period. In other words, we have had your life saving now go…with very little warning. The place is rundown and uncaring.
Mum was clearly unable to live alone after a chest infection left her frail and nervous of being alone at night. She had stayed for respite a couple of times and we knew that Ridgeway Manor would suit her well as the staff were kind and respectful, the food was wholesome and good, her room spotless and comfortable but very elegant. There were also activities in which she could join or not as she chose. Also, importantly, her family, most of whom lived a long way away, had the reassurance of knowing that she had round the clock care and company. Covid-19 meant that we were unable to visit her between March and July last year, but we knew that she was in the best place. The staff went above and beyond the call of duty to keep everyone upbeat and happy, shielding them from gloomy news to the best of their ability. Sadly Mum died in September (not through Covid). The staff were very kind to us at this time and expressed their sadness at losing such a gracious lady. Thank you.
