View Full Details of Signature at BansteadFinally we have found a 'home' for dad. We lost mum in July 2023 and dad, who was fit as a fiddle, driving, playing bowls and adjusting to a life without his soulmate, had a stroke out of the blue. His left side has been affected, leaving him unable to walk which of course has turned his life upside down! Signature of Banstead is the 3rd Carehome placement we have tried since dad came out of hospital and we can at last see the dad we had before his stroke. He has been there just under a week and already he looks healthier, bright eyed and chats to anyone and everyone! The care team are wonderful, always stopping to say hello, have a little chat or simply a wave and a smile - all this means so much to residents, especially when settling into somewhere new. Dad has a friend he sits with at mealtimes everyday and it is wonderful to see him chatting at the dining table. Signature of Banstead have given my dad a future without mum, it's great to see him smiling again.
A fantastic facility, with helpful and caring staff that help create an engaging environment for your loved ones to enjoy life. My Father did not have good experiences at 2 other care homes prior to Signature, however since moving in he is starting to find a new lease of life and wanting to engage with what the home has to offer. There is a real focus on care and inclusion, providing interesting entertainment and ensuring that first class meal options are always available. This really helps make all the residents feel like this is a home from home. Keep up the good work everyone!
My mother was very happy during her respite stay at Signature at Banstead. It was an excellent experience for her and it helped her to get her strength back. The staff when I visited were always friendly, kind and caring. The home feels very welcoming and everything is clean and well maintained. The Bistro is a lovely area to sit and chat and have a drink. My mother enjoyed various activities particularly the exercise groups.
Good experience. Staff were very good and the facilities were very good. Cleanliness was excellent. Food was variable, often good but sometimes not up to standard e.g vegetable overcooked. Food was sometimes was too cold but was overall a good choice. Breakfast was outstanding.
Mum was in respite for two weeks over Christmas, in a nice bedroom with an ensuite. We were invited to dine on the first day, which gave us an idea of the good quality of food. The care was personal to my Mum. With knowledge from Mum's assessment, two members of staff from Mum's country of origin came by the room on the first day to introduce themselves in her language and you could tell this put her at ease. All the staff we encountered were warm and polite and seemed well-trained in dealing with dementia residents. The facilities are excellent throughout the whole building, including the dementia wing. The place is clean and the decor is to a hotel standard. The activities are frequent and varied. My Mum had barely been there a couple of hours before she was off on a minibus to see the Christmas lights. On our return after two weeks, she was in no rush to leave and hugged all the staff goodbye. They told me she was a pleasure to care for. Although a bit pricey, I cannot fault the service.
It is never easy having to put a family member into a care home, however the experience at Signature at Banstead was excellent. Client Liaison Manager who takes care of new residents was excellent and took care of everything we needed and I cannot fault the service we got. The home has been brilliant for my Aunt who is not only thoroughly enjoying living at Signature but is also thriving. There is no doubt that she is far better at being in the home rather than being alone at home. She gets involved in all of the activities of which there are many and all of the staff are so helpful and welcoming. Any of our family members that visit, say it is not like visiting a care home but more like visiting an expensive Hotel because of the experience. It really was the best decision we ever did and has been such a positive thing for my aunt. I have to say it is value for money from the aspect that many homes are costing this and for what they offer, however it is a shame that these costs are so high.
My husband and I moved into Signature at Banstead at the beginning of October. We were both a bit uncertain as to whether or not we had done the right thing but believe me it has proved to be so right. Everyone is so friendly and caring. There is a lovely atmosphere and the carers are so caring, but so is everyone. Whoever you meet in the various areas they will speak. There are good activities to take part in and the Activity Team keeps you busy if that is what you like. If you like a quiet time there are plenty of areas in which to do this. Do not think there is an Assisted Living Home better than this one.
From our first interaction with the management team at Signature at Banstead, we were very impressed. The home is spotlessly clean and very well cared for. The bedrooms are well-sized with excellent en-suite facilities. The lounge and dining room are welcoming and spacious and the coffee area for residents and their families to use is warm and inviting. Mum was very anxious about the move but the carers were kind and supportive of her. They took the time to get to know her and recognised her worries so that she felt supported. They are encouraging and enabling but never pushy. They always treat the residents with respect and make them feel valued. The food is very good - beautifully presented by kind and attentive staff. The activities team are creative and arranges a wide range of activities which the majority of residents seem to participate in and enjoy. Overall I would recommend this care home for both its facilities and more importantly for its care and compassion.
I was struck by the speed with which the staff remembered my name and connected my wife and me to her sister who has become a resident. Their attention to detail and their caring nature have made us feel entirely confident in leaving my wife's sister in their hands. She has complex needs which they are attending to 24/7. Wonderful.
Since my sister has been in Signature she has been treated with kindness and compassion by everyone at the home. I cannot praise the staff too highly as they do their work efficiently and always with a smile. She needs a great deal of care but nothing is too much trouble. I would recommend Signature Banstead as a top class care home.
I was in need of some urgent respite care for my mum with dementia. I was quickly put in touch with a particular member of staff who was very friendly and welcoming. She talked me patiently through the whole process and showed me around the home and gardens. Another staff member met Mum in the hospital the next day and was really lovely & kind and was able to assess her needs. Mum spent 2 weeks in Banstead and received really lovely care from dedicated, compassionate & empathetic staff. Mum enjoyed the interaction with the staff and ate some lovely meals. We will definitely consider Mum returning in the future.
A very big thank you to Signature at Banstead for ensuring my parents settled into the home so quickly. Sixteen months ago both Mum and Dad moved in and it has been filled with lots of activities and social events, which they have enjoyed very much. The staff are all very caring and always go over and beyond to ensure Mum and Dad are happy. If any matters arise the Signature team are very quick to respond and address the matter. As a family, we are very happy and feel very relieved that they have settled in and met many new friends.
My mum has now been a resident at Signature Banstead for a couple of months or so. It's fair to say that she had some reservations about the move but has settled in really well. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and have made sure that Mum is fully involved in all the activities and she says they can't do enough for her! It's great that family and friends can pop in whenever they are in the area and there's a great relaxed environment which puts Mum at ease.
My lovely Mum moved into Signature Banstead in May. She was extremely anxious and frightened, it was such a big life change for her to leave her own house and begin a new life at Signature. As a family we prepared her suite so it was really like home from home. From the very first day every single member of staff did everything they could to make Mum feel welcome and cared for, managers, reception, carers, activities team, catering, cleaning staff, not forgetting the lovely lady who does the personal laundry, all were so kind. Mum settled in fairly quickly, and I felt very confident that she was being very well looked after. Two months on and she is enjoying her new life. There is always something going on, indoor activities and outings in the minibus. The facilities and food are excellent too. I really don't think we could have found anywhere better for my Mum. A big thank you to everyone at Signature Banstead.
My granny moved into Signature middle of April and has settled in great. Staff are always friendly and welcoming, supported our family during the change from home to care work which was so helpful. Facilities are wonderful, plenty of activities for the residents and trips which is so important to her and her wellbeing. Being able to have her hair done regularly in house is lovely too.
All the staff have been wonderful - very caring and considerate, and they treat the residents with dignity. There are lots of activities to join in with, and a real buzz about the place. The bistro and lounge are lovely areas for residents to meet in.
Considerate and skilled in creating an uplifting atmosphere. Very good at welcoming residents, helping them settle, join activities, receive assistance according to their needs and wishes, and strong at communicating with the residents and their families.
My mother has been a resident since November 2023, and all the family are pleased to see how well she has settled in. From erratic eating and watching TV all day she is eating well and is both mentally and physically stimulated by the activities. I and other family members have experience of other care homes, and this is one of the best we have come across. We are all relieved that my mother is so well cared for and making new friends.
I have been a regular visitor (several times a week) since my Grandmother moved in 6 months ago. I always find Banstead Signature to be a really warm welcoming environment. The staff team are really established with very little staff turnover, they work really well together to ensure the best for the residents. I have been really impressed by the range of activities and events that are arranged for the residents. The rooms and communal spaces are extremely well maintained and the food menus always look good. I genuinely don't think we could have found a better residential home for my Grandmother.
My mother moved into Signature about 8 weeks ago, after living alone and independently for about 5 years. From the very outset every single member of the staff has been fantastic. Everyone is always friendly, treating the residents with real respect, helpful and there's a noticeable positive attitude in all the interactions between the staff and residents. This consistent high and caring standard of behavior has really helped my mother settle in to her new way of life. It's great to hear her tell me about activities she's enjoyed taking part in, something I never imagined would happen given her independent way of life before. Thank you everyone in SH!
