View Full Details of Esher Manor Care Home - Avery CollectionVery beautiful setting in lovely building. Private en suite very comfortable. The carers were professional, kind and sensitive to my needs. Congratulations to the chef for producing freshly made delicious food. The wine wasn't good. The waiters and waitresses did a good job.
I cannot imagine finding a warmer or more welcoming residential home for my mother. The staff are incredibly welcoming and were endlessly supportive throughout the transition period. They have provided reassurance and advice freely. The accommodation is excellent and the food and activities are wonderful and varied.
My mother spent the last few months of her life at Esher Manor. All of the staff were amazing from the unfailingly cheerful and helpful people on reception to the patient and kind carers and the diligent and professional managers. I was also always treated with kindness and thoughtfulness. Mum didn't really get the chance to use all of the facilities but I saw a brilliantly functioning organisation with very happy residents. I have no hesitation in recommending them wholeheartedly.
Dad's first visit to Esher Manor was for a respite stay and he enjoyed it so much that, when it became necessary for him to move into full time care, he became a resident in June 2023. For the next year he enjoyed everything Esher had to offer - the entertainment, activities, meals, strolls in the garden and, always, the friendly staff. However, last year, when Dad's health declined badly, all the staff teams adapted to provide an outstanding level of care and support that we will be forever grateful for. Dad was made to feel safe and dignified at all times and that care was also extended to us as a family. As you enter the doors of Esher Manor you are immediately impressed by its appearance, but we would say it is the staff that work within its walls that make this a truly exceptional place. Thank you for caring for our Dad.
My mother has been living in Esher Manor now for almost five years. The first three in assisted living and now in reminiscence. She has passed the age for receiving the royal birthday card, and as her son I am now a reasonable age too. It has been a great relief to me to know that she is well fed, comfortable, and her declining health is cared for in a very efficient and professional manner. The staff are very attentive and take immediate action in liaising with medical and social services as and when the occasion arises. I am very appreciative of the numerous cups of tea, biscuits and the occasional treat of a dessert, when I visit. Esher Manor arrange a varied programme of activities, which I think at times are incredibly inventive. So there is always something to talk about and since these are posted on social media it keeps me informed of what is going on in my mother's life. After a visit I always have this uplifting thought. Esher Manor was the right choice for both of us.
My mother had been admitted into hospital over the Christmas and New Year period and on her discharge, we needed to find suitable accommodation to assist with her recovery. Given our enquires were made over the festive period, including a number of bank holidays, the response from Avery at Esher was always prompt and comprehensive. Nothing seemed to much of a problem and they also kindly made all the necessary arrangements to have my mother transferred from the hospital. On arrival at Esher Manor, my mother was greeted by the staff and made to feel very welcome. Her room is delightful, spacious and light and kept spotlessly clean. She receives many visitors who are free to come and go as we please and the care staff are always very attentive. My mother is enjoying her stay immensely, and her health is recovering well. Thank you to all the wonderful, dedicated staff at Esher Manor, you have professionally managed a challenging time and we are most grateful.
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone at Esher Manor for the wonderful care provided to our mother over the past five years. From our very first visit, we felt welcomed by the attentive and professional team and by the warm atmosphere. Each visit was a pleasure, and we always felt reassured knowing mum was in such compassionate hands. The dedication and empathy shown by the staff brought us comfort, especially as mum's needs evolved. It meant so much to know that even as her physical abilities diminished, she continued to receive such respectful and considerate care. The kindness and attentiveness of the team never wavered, and this care extended to our family, making us feel valued and supported. Having the opportunity to host family celebrations in the private dining room was an unexpected yet much appreciated feature. These gatherings allowed us to create cherished memories in a warm, familiar setting, and we are grateful to the team for organizing this.
I booked my friend for a week of respite, another friend is already staying with you, so I knew first hand it was very good indeed. My friend enjoyed her stay, and when she needs permanent care I hope she will choose Esher Manor. It was all excellent thank you
My parents moved into Esher Manor when my dad realised he could no longer care for my mum in their "Senior Living" apartment as it became apparent that his health was deteriorating. They were welcomed with open arms and I was struck by how the carers really did care and how all the staff made, not only my parents, but my whole family feel like the extended family of Esher Manor. Sadly my dad passed away suddenly and unexpectedly within weeks of arriving and the staff couldn't have been kinder and more supportive. They were wonderful and genuinely felt the sadness that we were going through. My mum was cared for with such sensitivity through her period of deep grief and I would often just wander in and a carer would be at my mum's side holding her hand and picking a rose off the rose bush for her. Esher Manor is such a wonderful and happy place and I shall be forever grateful.
I was faced with the difficult situation of arranging care for my father, who is 93 years old. After 67 years of living in the same house, the move was going to be stressful for him. We viewed other care homes in the area but from first walking in the doors my father felt at home and was made welcome. He had a lovely guided tour showing different options of accommodation and everything was explained clearly. He picked a room and on the first day of moving in the staff went the extra mile to make sure everything suited his needs. He has now been at the home for two months and settled in well. He loves the excellent meals and has found all the staff helpful and caring. I can honestly say choosing a residential home for my 93-year-old father who lived in the same home for 67 years was made easy after my first experience walking in the door and talking to the staff we had made a good choice Thank you for caring for my dad
I am very impressed with Esher Manor Care Home. My brother has been staying there for several months. He has a lovely room. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the food is very good. I feel he is being well looked after and he tells me he is happy there.
My father has lived at Esher Manor for 2 years. We initially needed care at short notice; we had been unhappy with care at another home, and from the moment we made contact, I knew we wouldn't regret the move. All staff are genuinely warm and friendly; they care about their residents not just as clients but as if they were their own family. Nothing is ever too much trouble; staff regularly go above and beyond their remit in terms of 'remembering the little things' and checking in when they know I can't. They all give their best to make sure dad has as good a day as possible. Another benefit was that those with dementia and those without resided on different floors. This means my dad is able to socialise with people who don't have dementia which was a particularly important consideration. The fees aren't low and the food could do with a revamp but any mistakes (which are inevitable in life) are always brought to our attention quickly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Esher Manor - 100% happy!
Always beautifully presented public spaces make things cheerful. The staff always cheerful and helpful. Outside areas are beautifully kept. Activities are plentiful and stimulating.
I felt I must write to congratulate the Esher Manor staff for the truly amazing BBQ held on 6th July 2024. The cuisine was wonderful and the attention to detail was positively outstanding. All care staff were marvellous and it was obvious to all in attendance that they portrayed care and devotion to all. My 92-year-old Mother has been a resident of Esher Manor since November 2023 and I know that we have made the right choice in selecting Esher Manor as her new home.
Dad has settled in really well here the staff are lovely and very caring and kind. The facilities and activities are varied and interesting but they aren't forced upon people. The food is generally very good with a varied choice.
Everything about Esher Manor is very inviting for residents and care is reassuring for the family.
I can highly recommend Esher Manor Care Home. My uncle moved here after a spell in hospital two years ago, and he was never happier! After another brief spell in hospital in May this year, he chose to have palliative care 'at home' - which was at Esher Manor - and they truly looked after him right to the end. The staff are kind and helpful, and their care was exceptional. The food was excellent. His room was light and airy, with a small kitchen and study area. The reception areas are lovely and always felt cheerful with people coming and going, or just chatting in the cafe. We feel rest assured that he was in the right place!
It was a delight to visit our good friend and see how caring the staff treated her. There was no pressure of time, complete patience and kindness and as visitors we were offered a delicious cup of coffee with biscuits and even an invitation to stay for lunch. Our friend was helped to a quiet room so we could speak privately and be heard. No wonder she was in such excellent form!
I think the home is a very pleasant place to be. The rooms are excellent and make the residents feel at home, especially with the addition of the small kitchen. I think the staff are friendly and do what they can to make the residents comfortable. Personally, I have found the admin/interaction/communication only average. I've had to request invoices each month even though I am the registered recipient. I am looking after my mother's finances, so having the invoices on time is important to me. I've also found it hard to get clear responses to some items raised, or not see a follow-up to a conversation where it was agreed someone would progress an item and then I don't hear anything more. However, overall I'm pleased that I selected Esher Manor for my mother.
Esher Manor is an excellent care home, they have looked after our mum since December 2023, and have helped her to settle in. Mum’s medical needs are seen to and nothing gets overlooked, the staff are very caring helpful and keep us up to date on any changes. There are many activities and entertainment during the week. The dining is excellent with good choices. There is also a bistro where you can have a coffee in a relaxed atmosphere with mum when we visit. We feel happier now that mum is being looked after by a great team.
