View Full Details of Wey Valley HouseJust a lovely place with a great atmosphere where everyone is treated with respect, compassion and love. For my dad, he couldn't be better served and cared for. For myself and family, there is peace of mind knowing my dad is in safe hands. I love to visit and am treated with a warm welcome always and feel the staff act like friends. Just seems like a wonderful atmosphere for them all to work in which is positive on all levels.
Friendly and talented staff team.
The care home is attentive to my needs, always ensuring I'm comfortable. Kept informed with what's going on in the home.
Wey Valley House is a lovely place.
Really good! I enjoy the food.
Excellent, staff were accommodating. Range of activities.
Friendly staff and very good food, all is good.
All is good but all can be improved.
In 3 years care has been very good. Helps my quality of life.
I have been at the Wey Valley for almost 2 years now and it's one of the best decisions I have made.
Thirty years ago I did the tea trolley here and always said if I go in a home when I am old, this is where I wanted to come. Soon after my ninety-fifth birthday I moved in and can honestly say I have never regretted it for one moment.
My friend was previously at another care home where he resided for a year. A family decision to move him closer to his direct family, he opted for Wey Valley House. He is happy here, has a pleasant room overlooking the canal. Care levels are good and meals are good.
I am happy at Wey Valley House where I am well cared for. The food is good and the staff are helpful. The room is well adapted to my needs.
I have known Wey Valley House for years, my father was nursed here and lived in Farnham all of my life. The staff are cheerful and put a smile on my face each day. they all do the best they can for me.
As you will see, I have scored full marks on everything, but I haven't done this lightly, or lazily, it's genuinely how I feel. This is based on my recent findings when trying to find a rest home for my 90-year-old Mum. In searching for a home, I visited 3 others, and this is why I have basically marked this home as outstanding, and being so very much better on all aspects, in comparison. to the other homes I visited. The residents are all so happy to be there, but the staff are clearly happy in their work, and it shows. Well done all. Thanks for looking after my Mum yesterday.
My Dad was a new resident in February 2023. The staff are all really friendly and welcoming and Dad has started to settle well into his new surroundings. He is a quiet person generally and enjoys his own company, but he has started to enjoy some of the daily activities and trips that are put on by the home. The food is also excellent and there are always plenty of choices, so we know that he is getting what he needs. He definitely feels looked after and cared for which is the most important thing. We are involved in any decisions that need to be made for him and I am more than happy with the level of this involvement. I would definitely recommend Wey Valley House from what we have experienced so far. Thank you to all of the team.
Mum has been a resident at Wey Valley House for a few months. She is very settled now and we are very happy with the care she receives. Mum likes to join in with the daily activities and outings. We recently joined the residents and staff for an amazing afternoon tea celebrating the King's Coronation. It was lovely to see everyone enjoying themselves in the lounge, singing along with the entertainer. The home is a friendly and happy place with very caring staff.
My mother was a member of the Abbeyfield family since about 2001, more latterly at Wey Valley. She and I always found the service, kindliness and care exceptional. She was allowed to be herself and enjoyed the freedoms offered by a city centre service - shopping, lunch out and being able to regularly visit friends and family living in Farnham. She became friends with the staff and as often as not their families. She could be demanding but the staff did what they could to accommodate her - taking her shopping, writing letters for her, being her telephone answering service when deafness and frailty prevented her use of phone and email. As her son, I too felt a member of the Abbeyfield family and was also treated well and with respect as were the extended members of my family. That she lived to the great age she did is testament to the care she received.
My grandfather has been at Wey Valley House for a couple of months now, he has settled very well and it’s lovely to hear from him on a daily basis about how well he gets on with the care assistants, and how wonderful his meals are each day! He’s always encouraged to go down to the many activities that are on, or if he prefers to stay in his room, there is always someone visiting him in there with some sort of little activity to keep him entertained. Every time myself or other family members visit, all the staff are always cheerful, friendly and attentive. The home always has a warm feel to it as soon as you arrive.
The staff at Wey Valley House have done everything possible to ensure Mum's comfort. They were keen to find out about Mum's life so that they could help her to settle into the home and they have encouraged her to participate in the daily events the home has to offer. They are prompt to act in any medical situations and always keep me fully informed of any concerns they might have. Wey Valley House is a safe and inclusive home with caring staff and a friendly atmosphere. I would have no hesitation to recommend Wey Valley House.
