View Full Details of Wolfe House Care HomeReally lovely home, staff very friendly. Clean and caring, recommend it to anyone.
It was a daunting prospect to find a home that could cater for my Mum with her Alzheimer's. What luck when the manager of Wolfe House contacted us, we arranged a personable meeting my mother and I, we were made to feel at ease and arranged to pay a visit to the home. I personally came away elated in that we had found the perfect place for my mother to see out her days nestled in the beautiful Oxted Surrey Hills area is this charming property that has 13 residents which means all the carers, from the second in command to the most amazing cook, all have a care of duty. You only have to visit to see for yourself. My mother was admitted to Wolfe's house in November, as I write we are nine days away from Christmas and I have to say every step of the way she has been cared for and loved. I rest at night knowing that she's in the right place. I cannot recommend Wolfe House and all their staff more, 110%! Thank you so much for your warmth and love. Kind regards.
Wolfe House Care Home is friendly and welcoming to all. The care staff are supportive and help to encourage my mother to maintain her day-to-day life with dignity and respect.
Mum was admitted to Wolfe House Care Home after an extended stay in hospital. She has dementia and wasn't eating or sleeping and was extremely anxious when she first arrived. Thanks to the excellent care, patience and compassion shown by the lovely staff she settled and regained her appetite. Wolfe House is a very small care home and so the staff can give personal attention to the residents and the manager is always available to discuss any concerns you may have and offer advice. If you are looking for a small homely care home with lovely staff able to give your loved one personal attention, I would thoroughly recommend Wolfe House.
My father-in-law had vascular dementia, he was moved here from the hospital, in October 2021. The manager helped me fill in all the relevant paperwork. The care he received, up to the day he passed, April 2023, was so good and would recommend Wolfe House as a very friendly home from home.
My mum was a resident of Wolfe House Care Home for the last few months of her life, they coped with her rapidly deteriorating health, with compassion and professionalism. The management team and every member of staff showed my mum great kindness and understanding, they were extremely supportive of me during this short but difficult period and I will never be able to thank them enough. I spent quite a bit of time at the home at different times of the day, it was always clean and calm, call bells were answered quickly and all residents were treated with respect, dignity, patience and good humour. It is a lovely comfortable, home-from-home environment and being a small team, I felt there was continuity of care which meant I could rest easy knowing my mum was safe and well cared for, I would highly recommend Wolfe House.
Mum has Alzheimer's and moved into Wolfe House last August. I have been so impressed by the home and all the staff, which has made the transition so much easier for us all. The manager leads by example and is always there to give good advice. The care team have such a lovely way with the residents and I’ve witnessed many kind moments of a stroke of the cheek or a hand being held. As soon as you walk in you feel calm in the knowledge that your loved one is being looked after in such a positive way. Mum always says how lovely the food is too. There is also regular entertainment and activities. I really can’t thank them enough.
My mum was cared for by a wonderful team, who showed the kind of respect and care we would all like to receive if we find ourselves in need of residential care. The manager really gets involved and puts herself out to secure the best possible care needed. My mum felt happy and contented, even though she suffered with some dementia she genuinely couldn’t have been in a better place. Covid rules were adhered to, but visiting was always implemented with sensitivity and always with Mum's well-being at heart. I can’t thank everyone enough for making my mum feel like the special lady that she was.
I choose Wolfe House Care Home for my dad because it is a small, quiet, family-run home without the presence of the big named establishment. He always says "they take good care of me here" and my dad looks 10 years younger since he moved in. He seems happy which make me happy.
The resident has been here since lockdown having no longer to be able to return to her own home. Social services found Wolfe House which I visited beforehand everyone was friendly and could see everyone was looked after and happy. Kept up to date with changes in care and Covid-19 updates via email.
My mum went into Wolfe House in December 2019 and prior to her moving in they redecorated her room in quick time. The level of care and compassion of staff is excellent and the management team run it so well. The preparations they made during Covid-19 Pandemic, sourcing their own PPE locking down early ensured the residents were well protected and no cases reported. The entertainment and stimulus they provide are very good and the residents and mum look happy when we visit.
Our father became a resident at Wolfe House late in the autumn of 2019. Right from the start of his stay we knew we had chosen the right place for him, he was extremely well cared for. The room we chose was perfect for him and kept clean and tidy at all times. The staff were all very friendly and caring and showed great sensitivity while looking after dad. We had no hesitation in discussing any matters that were concerning us and they acted promptly to accommodate his needs as they changed. Unfortunately, dad enjoyed a very short stay at Wolfe House and after a very short stay in hospital he died. I cannot recommend Wolfe House highly enough. Dad had lived a very independent life well into his 90's, and we were worried about how he would 'take to' residential care, we needn't have worried in his case!! I would thoroughly recommend this excellent home - as that is it what it was to dad for his final few months.
My Aunt was a resident at Wolfe House for nearly three years until she passed away. We have nothing but good words to say about this care home, the staff have been so kind, caring and professional. We visited four or five times a week and always found a calm, organised home regardless of what time we arrived. The food was excellent and the alterations to the building have made a tremendous improvement. The staff are very approachable and always willing to discuss any concerns and suggestions. They also have a website where it is nice to see photos of the residents joining in the entertainment.
My father came to live at Wolfe House in February this year. He has settled very well and eats and sleeps well. He has Alzheimer's with a particularly bad short term memory. In spite of this, my sister and I believe he is generally happy. The staff tell us he joins in the activities and I have joined in with him. Everyone seems caring and helpful to the residents. We like to fact it is a small home and I'm glad we chose this one. The rooms are very nice and kept clean.
Very happy with the care my mother receives at Wolfe House. Friendly staff and clean, tidy home.
The home is clean and staff are friendly with a welcoming smile. Residents appear content and comfortable in their surroundings.
My wife has been resident at Wolfe House Care Home for over 3 years now and has settled in as part of the small friendly 'happy family'. She receives excellent care from kind, polite, friendly, hardworking staff who listen and act if there is a problem. The care home has greatly improved with the building extension now, almost, completed with modern facilities. I would not wish my wife to be moved as she is happy and that says it all for me! Criticism. It would be nice if caring staff did not keep changing (it must confuse residents).
My sister moved into Wolfe House almost two years ago and has received excellent care from patient and understanding staff.
Chose this home for mum as it has a small number of residents, it's in a nice setting with a good outlook and feels very homely, as opposed to clinical. Mum has been happy here and the staff are very good. It is currently undergoing refurbishment which will hopefully be concluded soon.
I am very happy with the care. Staff are good to me, always helpful.
