View Full Details of Prideaux LodgeMy grandma stays at Prideaux lodge. Staff are always friendly, and go above and beyond to care for the residents. The home is always clean, there are always different activities for the residents to join in with, as well as fresh cakes baked daily. The food is always varied and different options available.
The lodge appears to be well run and the staff professional and loving towards the residents. A demanding job, but they always have a smile on their face. The place is clean, warm and has a lively atmosphere.
Just amazing. My mum has been a resident at Prideaux Lodge for almost 3 years. Having looked at other Care Homes prior, I was recommended to take a look here and am so glad I did. Everyone is so friendly and caring, it feels like one big family. The care, attention, accommodation and activities on offer are superb and I have never once had to doubt that my mum is being very well looked after. Whenever I visit, the team are all so friendly and there's always a slice of cake and cup of tea at the ready. Prideaux Lodge comes highly recommended.
Residents and relatives treated with respect and care, vert satisfied!
Whenever I come to see my mum, the staff are always friendly and very helpful. The most important thing is they really help my mum and I see them helping and having time for all the residents. The food and cakes look nice too. Well done.
Unfortunately, my wife had a stroke on top of advanced Alzheimer's and was in hospital for five weeks. From the time she was assessed in the hospital by the Prideaux Lodge manager, who was very sincere about the future that Prideaux Lodge can offer, and every step of the way was smooth and very easy. I find the staff at Prideaux Lodge to be first-class in every aspect of care. They go above what I expected from staff at a care home. The home is always very welcoming and exceptionally clean including the room my wife is in, which is always very clean and tidy. The meals are very varied and always a constant flow of drinks are given and help with feeding for those who cannot feed themselves. There is always some sort of entertainment to keep all the residents entertained.
My mum has been at Prideaux Lodge for ten years now and has been extremely well looked after for all of that time. Her dementia has deteriorated considerably over the years and the manager and staff have developed her care plan to suit her considerable needs. Everyone working at Prideaux Lodge, past and present, has always been most caring of Mum and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the home in the highest possible terms.
Prideaux Lodge is homely and comfortable. The staff are so caring and professional, they look after my mum and the other residents as if they were their own family with dignity, respect and love. The food is very good and guests are always welcome to stay for a meal with their loved ones and offered hospitality. Mum's room is always spotless and the reception rooms and others that I've seen or entered are also clean and tidy. I've often had fun joining in with the everyday activities and participated in the 'Prideaux family' annual events. These have been very enjoyable involving family and/or other guests, for example, Bexhill's Mayor. Prideaux Lodge is Mum's home and I would, and often do, highly recommend them.
Prideaux Lodge Bexhill is a wonderful care home. All the staff are amazing, very caring, understanding and helpful. The home is small in comparison to a lot of others and this makes it feel very homely, warm and friendly. My mother has been there for 3 months now and has settled in very well thanks to the patience and kindness of the staff. The home is kept very clean and tidy and all the residents look clean and well looked after. There are always plenty of staff to residents to give them all the attention they require. Whenever I visit, I'm made to feel extremely welcome and offered a drink immediately, often this is given with a homemade cake too. This is most definitely the right home for Mum and her needs. I feel she is getting the help and support she needs and is in a very safe environment, which has made this time of adjustment a lot easier.
Mum has been a resident at Prideaux Lodge for almost eight years and the love and care she has received has been outstanding. Mum is never lonely or bored. There's always plenty of activities to keep the residents engaged and entertained. I always receive a warm welcome from the friendly staff who are always smiling and genuinely appear to love their work. Because it's a small care home it is like one big family. Most importantly mum is safe, well cared for and extremely happy.
Prideaux Lodge is an excellent care home, from the moment I first made contact with the management team the support has been outstanding. I had to relocate my mother from another home and the team at Prideaux Lodge made the whole process so easy. My mum has been there for over a month now and I can't express how much happier we all are, with the care my mother is now getting. When I visit they make you feel very welcome with cups of tea and fresh homemade cakes. My mother is always doing something and the staff are all so friendly and supportive to the residents. The staffing numbers are very good and there is always someone at hand if you need anything. What is really impressive is the way they keep you updated on things that are happening, and how they keep you informed of resident's health. My mother's room is large and has a great outlook over the front of the property, the garden is great and the home is so bright and well decorated. I am so grateful for everything they do for us.
Excellent care facility. Prideaux is cosy and welcoming environment for both residents and families alike. The staff are very kind, patient and gentle with the residents and have really good communication with families. On one visit to see my mum there was a lady who was very upset and distressed, a caregiver grabbed her photo album and a blanket and snuggled up with her to soothe her - it was so lovely to see and cemented confidence in my mum's welfare.
Yet again a lovely Christmas do. Thanks to all the staff and management for making us feel like one big family at a time when family is so important. Wonderful food and cakes, lots of music, laughter and dancing.
I have to mark the upcoming four-year anniversary of my mum being Prideaux Lodge. She went in looking very thin through not eating properly and generally not in a good place mentally. Four years on, and Mum's dementia has progressed, but so has her happiness, her weight and her joie de vivre. She is truly happy at Prideaux Lodge and the people there love and care for her and it shows in her attitude and appearance. Choosing Prideaux Lodge was actually one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life as I know my mum is happy and well cared for by everyone there. The food is brilliant and the activity coordinator is an absolute joy. I don't want to call out individual names as the team works so incredibly closely together to give my mum the best life they possibly can. It is not a big home which I welcome as the resident and their families all get to know each other and it feels like being at home. I just can't give them enough praise.
My mum was a resident at Prideaux Lodge after moving from elsewhere. I knew nothing about what to expect from a nursing home. My experience of Prideaux and the amazing staff began before Mum even arrived. Everyone seemed to have a knack for just knowing what as a family we needed as well as Mum's needs. From the manager at the top down to the hilarious handyman who mum had such a crush on, were just normal people who were there because they loved the residents, it was never about the money. Mum's room was home from home, beautifully furnished. All her needs were met from bathing, and chiropody to hairdressing Prideaux provided it. The staff interaction with my mum was so beautiful to see and always respectful. The food was phenomenal. Great balance of meals and cakes were yummy. At the end of Mum's life, we were embraced by the staff who looked after us as they did Mum. She passed peacefully and pain-free and this was a testament to everyone at Prideaux who treated her as family.
Prideaux Lodge is such a wonderful home, with amazing and dedicated staff. It feels like a home-from-home environment for the residents and their families. The staff do everything they can for all residents and the quality of care is outstanding. The home is always clean and the residents are safe. The staff plan activities based on resident's interests and current events, and they adapt these so that all be can involved. My granny was moved here from another home and it was the best decision my family made.
My mum has been a resident at Prideaux Lodge for exactly a year and was moved from a different care home due to her dementia condition worsening and her number of falls increasing. My mum passed away yesterday. The care given to my mum has been outstanding. Every member of staff I have met have been friendly, kind, considerate and professional. The rooms are lovely and the meals are too. The home is also very well managed. I cannot praise the staff any higher, they are all worthy of the term excellent and I can only say thank you to them all for looking after my mum so well. Very highly recommended. Thank you.
My mother-in-law went to Prideaux Lodge after a very bad experience at a different home. We went to view it, my husband and I and as soon as we went through the door it was like being enveloped into a massive hug. Everybody at Prideaux is there because they love what they do. When my mother-in-law was understandably apprehensive of somewhere new but within an hour she was smiling and happy. Nothing was ever too much trouble for anyone from the hilarious maintenance guy who knew everyone by name through to the manager who treated her like their own family. The rooms are beautifully kept and decorated and super clean. The residents have access to a hairdresser, chiropodist and any other outside agencies needed to support your family. Now, the food is fantastic, home-cooked and fresh every meal. At morning coffee and afternoon tea, the cake is yummy. As a family, we were always treated with love, dignity and respect. Sadly my mother-in-law has passed now.
Prideaux Lodge is a very well-run home. The staff are caring, kind and patient. Every effort is made to make the atmosphere as homely as possible for the residents. Visitors can call in at any time and are made welcome. My husband, who has Alzheimer’s, has been there for two years. He is contented and well looked after.
My mother has been a resident at Prideaux Lodge now for over a year as her medical conditions have gradually deteriorated and the support that she needs has become more demanding. Throughout this period I remain impressed with the kindness and level of support she receives from the management, the carers, the catering team and the support staff. Everyone has a positive attitude and a friendly welcome.
