My late mother, lived at Camelot for three years - prior to passing away in May this year. For anyone looking for a small, friendly care home with a 'family feel', look no further. The manager and staff couldn't have been kinder - including dedicated palliative care for mum for her last few months. Having had experience of at least six care and nursing homes (for several relatives) in the last few years, I can say Camelot was the best - much better than the far more expensive large group owned facilities.
My parents have lived together at Camelot Care Home for two and a half years. They have aged and deteriorated but the staff have adapted to their changing and increasing needs brilliantly and with extreme care and sensitivity. My brothers and I are absolutely delighted with the care received. The staff are all so kind and gentle and genuinely caring.
Happy here.
So far so good. Staff helpful as possible.
Our beautiful mother (inside and outside) moved to Camelot last month. We knew this was going to be a difficult transition not only for her but also for all of us as we love her so much. Well, without the kindness and gentleness of all those at Camelot this move would have been much harder. However, their gentle patience and sincere assurances on the phone of how our mother is settling in has been extremely encouraging. My initial restless nights have gone back to peaceful ones. I realise that this is a safe, loving and caring environment for my mother as she begins a new chapter in her life. With this she still brings charm and good company to all those around her, making some lovely new friends. Our warmest thanks and gratitude from the depths of my heart have to go to all staff (and the cooks!). They have welcomed our darling mother so warmly into the Camelot family. Thank you. May God bless you all.
Camelot is a wonderful, restful place for my parents who have been there now for 6 months. The staff are unfailingly kind and helpful, and my parents say they are always on hand when they are needed. The head of the home and her team have handled the very difficult Covid situation with great sensitivity, putting the safety of the residents above everything. It can be very difficult moving from the home you have lived in for years to residential care, but it could not have gone better for my mother and father, and I could not recommend Camelot more highly.
I, as a visitor, have received nothing but kindness, support and politeness from all members of staff and management. My husband, as a resident, always looks smart and always enjoys the food provided.
One of the best things about Camelot is that the carers have worked there for many years so there is a great consistency. And although it took some time for my mother to get settled and make relationships with the carers, the relationships have really grown and it's great to see. Camelot is a very homely and friendly care home with a peaceful feel to it. It's in a great position for walks and shopping. My mother also has my cat with her which is a real joy for her. Camelot are good at ensuring he is fed and looked after too. As far as care homes go, Camelot offers a lot and I'm pleased my mother is there.
Very caring and attentive staff and management both towards my father and to us when we visit.
The Camelot was very well run. More than a care home - it was a family home.
