View Full Details of Aston HouseMy friend has been living at Aston House for the past 18 months. On occasions, her behaviour has been extremely challenging, but the staff have always treated her with kindness and respect. My friend has now moved to more specialist care, but a big 'thank you' to the manager and the team for looking after her so well during her stay.
My uncle lived at Aston House for a few years before he died and was always cared for with kindness and compassion, especially throughout his short cancer journey. The manager and her amazing team I feel went above and beyond their duty, delivering nursing and end-of-life care, while supporting us as a family, keeping us updated and fully involved at every step of the way. Enabling my uncle to die with dignity. Big shout out to my uncle's key worker for being so kind. We can now cherish great memories and are so thankful we can continue these memories knowing he had a dignified death. Me and my mum will be forever grateful to you all! Keep up the good work.
I am pleased with the overall care of my brother. The staff are caring and very happy to talk to me when I visit and keep me informed of his condition as he suffers from extreme anxiety. Will spend time talking to him.
Very bad service for my brother! He was not cleaned and changed every day as he should have been. Always told by staff they are too busy to carry out any requests from him. The staff called him filthy and disgusting if he soiled himself which gave him massive anxiety and stopped him from eating and drinking properly, even to this day he still says sorry for having an accident and he can't help it. He was over restricted on food and drinks. He was encouraged to wee in the sink as were other male residents and was forced to drink non-drinking water from his sink due to water restrictions as he could not get up to get it himself from the kitchen. During his last weeks there, they were telling him off for bending over and not standing up straight when he had stenosis which they did not pick up on and he is now paralysed and blind. To top it all off they evicted him while in hospital a week before Xmas and when I picked up his belongings he had £375 in cash missing and old collectors notes too!
