View Full Details of Cross Lane House Care HomeMy mum experienced an acquired brain injury earlier this year and her care needs have become greater. The staff at Cross Lane House Care Home have provided a home from home - they are caring, accommodating and welcoming. She has developed some good rapport with the staff and has particularly enjoyed the events held at the home (i.e the Christmas party).
Very caring and welcoming to my sister in law and any of the family on visiting.
Very happy.
Whilst my Aunt was at this time not in the best health she was treated with dignity, care, and support. I was kept fully informed regarding her medical condition. Mental health and doctor visits. Family was always welcomed by the staff who were also able to answer questions. I couldn't ask for a more caring, thoughtful end of like care for my Aunt.
Dad took a long time to settle but now he has, he is very happy and feels safe. The staff and managers are friendly, helpful, understanding and always able to help with my or Dad's queries/questions. It is reassuring and great that all the anxieties are no more and Dad is always safe and well looked after.
A friendly home, my brother settled quickly and well. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Very homely, kind and caring.
Small care home, happy staff and very welcoming. Residents seem settled, comfortable and happy.
All ok.
It's very good, my mum is very happy here.
Such a wonderful care home with caring staff that cannot do enough for everyone.
My mum has thoroughly enjoyed the care home fun days and enjoys company. The staff have been very caring and helpful to my mum, besides understanding.
Excellent staff, good food and a beautiful home. Mum is very happy here.
Very happy here, staff are kind and friendly.
Cross Lane House Care Home was always a first choice for Nannie for me. The home itself is small, cosy and inviting, not a large home where no one knows everyone. Staff are lovely, friendly and kind, always taking time to chat to make you feel welcome. The care my grandmother gets is excellent.
All staff, including managers, are very helpful and kind, never a complaint of any sort nor of each other. No rules, can get up or stay in bed if liked, have breakfast when ready. Can go to bed when like, I go at midnight! Large fan and a good TV set in each room but could watch on the large TV in the lounge, alright if I wished. Very relaxed atmosphere. Visitors are allowed any time, no prearrangement necessary. Could ask for a sandwich or cup of tea whenever. Spoke to the owners, who visit, wish us to think of this as our home.
Staff are always very kind, knowledgable and always helpful. The rooms are adequate if a little dated in areas. Food and drink apparently are not always up to a high standard as the meat is sometimes tough but there is always a wide variety of food available. The rooms and main areas are always kept very clean and tidy. My father is happy in his surroundings and clean accommodation and appreciates all the support given to him.
My father-in-law has only recently moved to Cross Lane House Care Home. We were attracted by its homely atmosphere and lower number of residents. We were struck by the friendliness of the staff and management, who provide the required services but with sensitivity and seemingly without an institutional rigidity. My relative's room (with an ensuite toilet) is a very good size (and has a Freeview TV) with a nice view of the spacious garden, with the house being set on the edge of a rural village.
We have recently had to find a home for my father who has dementia. We were very impressed with the family, homely feel of Cross Lane House Care Home. The staff have been very supportive as he settles in. His room is large and overlooks the good-sized garden.
My mother, who is 97, is in this nursing home with undisclosed dementia. I have been very pleased with the care she receives and the feedback I receive from the staff regarding my mother's well-being. Staff are very friendly and very caring and she is very happy.
