View Full Details of Eridge HouseMy mother has been very unwell, and after a short stay in hospital, returned to Eridge House. The care she received was outstanding. The staff were very patient, caring and attentive. They supported mum so well she has now made a full recovery, able to walk and dress herself again, and fully participate in life at Eridge House.
I feel my nan is very well looked after, nan is always smiling. The activities were amazing when the Activities Coordinator did it. I know the staff are tying their best with activities and maybe they are being done at different times I just haven't seen as much. Overall I am very happy with everything. The staff are very friendly and informative. I definitely recommend the home. Some staff are better at updates than others and some do not acknowledge you.
Eridge House was initially respite care for my mother, but she has now become a permanent resident. She says she loves it and it gives her confidence knowing she has someone 24/7 and never alone. Residents are treated with dignity and respect and well cared for. As a family we feel very lucky that she was accepted as a permanent resident knowing all her needs are met and she is in a safe caring environment.
When I was looking for a care home for my uncle I looked at a good few before visiting Eridge House, and what a find, it was a real gem of a place. As soon as I set foot inside there was a friendly family atmosphere and I knew that this was the place he would soon call 'home' and I was right. He settled quickly. the staff were delightful and caring, not only the care staff but the office and kitchen staff too, they all treated him as they would their own family. Eridge House is very homely with a large lounge and conservatory and they do so much with the residents such as quizzes, bingo and regular visitors and entertainers. Right to the end the staff supported and cared for my uncle through his last days. I would not hesitate to recommend Eridge House as a home for your loved ones.
What a gem of a care home Eridge House is. From the moment I stepped through the door I knew this was the place I wanted my uncle to live. I feel extremely fortunate that he was accepted as a resident. It is home from home. The staff are so kind caring and supportive towards him. The food was good quality, home cooked lots of choice. We were offered food when visiting as well. Always so much going on in the home, activities arranged daily, exercise classes, music dancing, quizzes, and visiting pets to name a few. The management team were impressive with their professional approach and friendliness.
My mother, aged 93, has been living at Eridge for a year. As I live at quite a distance away it has been comforting knowing she is happy and well cared for, with wonderful staff, lots of new friends, and quality home-cooked food. Mum's working life included many years as a carer herself. She was brilliant at that job and would not have settled for anything less than what Eridge House provides. Every time I visit (including very recently) she has reaffirmed the decision she made to live there, backed by my sisters and I. We are all so happy that we have done the best for our mum, as she had done for us.
Very good food and making friends.
I am very happy here. Friendly staff. The food is very good.
Eridge House is a home-from-home care home where everybody from Management to all the staff are kind and friendly and mindful of individual needs with a good sense of humour. Difficult situations are treated with kindness and respect. The various activities on offer keep the mind and body in shape. Both my husband and I are grateful residents.
Mum has been a resident for only 3 weeks but so far everything has been perfect. Lots of attention to detail and mum's needs are all being met. Socially plenty to do and on offer. Could not be happier so far.
I needed to find a convalescent/care facility for my previously fully independent mother after she sustained a stroke. I was personally recommend to contact Eridge House based on its reputation for home-from-home care and very kind, empathetic and well-trained staff. From the moment I picked up the phone and called their manager I have been so impressed with every aspect of the care service Eridge House provides. My mother has complex and changing care needs which Eridge House have taken in their stride with compassion and professionalism. She is very happy in their care. I would highly recommend it.
My uncle was very nervous about leaving his home of over 50 years. he has settled really well into Eridge House and we couldn't have asked for more. He has made friends and enjoys spending his time in the communal areas. We can't recommend the home enough the staff work so hard.
You could ask for a nicer home the staff are friendly, helpful and very supportive. My uncle can be very anxious and they always ensure he is okay. He loves the food and enjoys the staff taking the time to listen to his stories. I couldn't have asked for more, he misses his home but feels very happy and safe.
My dear sister has been at Elridge House since July 2023. She is very happy and the care and the dignity afforded to her has been second to none, and stimulating for her. She is now 93 years of age and it was a great change for her as she lived alone with little care, and it got to the stage where she needed more help. Her family decided Elridge House was the place which would suit her. She has always been a very independent lady who also was a great care worker herself until she retired and so I know she is in a very caring and loving home. She is happy and feels secure. P.S. The food is wonderful too, which she enjoys.
From my first telephone contact, I have been confident in the professionalism, experience and capability of the management and staff teams. My stepfather was not keen on having respite, but we were supported to visit as many times before his stay as needed and at all times have been made to feel welcome. The stable staff and management team speaks volumes and the benefits of this are clearly reflected in the experiences of residents. The home is relaxed and staff clearly have a good rapport and interact with residents. The menu is varied and all cooked on site and a good range of activities offered to those that wish to participate. The fact that my stepdad is happy to visit again says it all!
Very caring and careful. All staff have been really nice. Good food, I would always come back.
The rest home is very good I feel safe and are for and secure. I am blind so not always able to see what is about me. All the staff are very friendly, and sometimes some of the residents understand I am blind. But the carers know and always support me.
I felt completely at home from the time I arrived. I found everywhere in the property was extremely clean and well maintained. The food was excellent with lots of choice with main courses. All the staff, from the office, management to the dailies were always on hand to help and advise.
My mum was at Eridge House for 12 months. I had been recommended to Eridge by several of my friends. I have been so happy with the care my mum received, prior to her sadly passing away recently. The staff took time to know about Mum, her likes and dislikes. They took time to spend time with her. Her keyworkers were amazing, and always went above and beyond. She always had cups of tea on demand, and Mum loved the variety of food. We were always kept up to date by the managers. What's not to love about Eridge?
