View Full Details of Hartfield HouseThis review relates to the seasonal time of the year. The staff are always fantastic but have gone the extra mile. The Christmas get together was well attended and a wonderful atmosphere. Staff were very attentive but not pushy. On Christmas day my mother was enabled to have her lunch in her room and was well catered for and her privacy was respected. The home is a home from home. Heartfelt thanks to the team.
I would highly recommend Hartfield House. When I visit my friend here, I always feel welcomed by the staff who are very friendly and approachable. Nothing is too much trouble. Many times on my visits I have observed the Care Home Manager, taking time to chat and have fun with the residents. This seems to be a very organised and well-run home with a highly motivated team.
I am the resident Hairdresser at Hartfield House and have been for years. This home is so friendly and I get on well with the Manager, staff and residents, many would class me as a friend as I see most of the residents on a weekly/fortnightly basis. Really enjoy coming here and they make yummy cakes when I have one on my hairdressing afternoons! Great Care Home!
The residents are well looked after. The staff are caring, the rooms are clean, nice with their own facilities. They also have activities for them during the week and a nice garden that they can use.
I have to say that Hartfield House is such a lovely home, the staff are really helpful and friendly, they even offer tea and coffee when we arrive, the manager had always gone the extra mile to assist me with any question I may have had, we always felt that nothing was a bother and she always had time to speak to us. My friend who was an elderly lady, when she was there, she was so happy and contented, it was nice to visit her to see her so settled and looking so well I would always recommend Hartfield House as in my eyes they are unique, in every way, which makes them stand out compared to other homes. Thank you to the manager and the team for your compassion and kindness.
My 92-year-old mum spent from May to October in Hartfield House and recently had to leave as her medical condition worsened, such that she needed more nursing care. The home is well run by the manager, who provides strong leadership and was excellent in her communications with us. It felt very much like a partnership, and we worked together to deal with a number of health issues that occurred for my mother. The proof of this was that due to Hartfield's more effective management, my mother recovered from a long-term bout of constantly throwing up, which had occurred in her previous care home, which they had claimed was due to her underlying condition and we have a hunch was down to them feeding her things she had a reaction to and leaving her in a room which was too hot. Her condition stabilised rapidly in Hartfield. The room she was in was large and light and felt very homely. When it came to her leaving, the manager even recommended, as it turned out, a very good new home for my mum to go to.
Although my review date selected is Dec 2021, these comments apply to all my visits and exchanges with the wonderful, caring Heartfelt (deliberate misspell) house... My mum is well into her 90s and I feel will see a 100 in with no problem due to the attention, care and home from home environment that she experiences on a daily basis. The staff are always welcoming and do the right things with considered thought. Even as relatives we receive kindness and most importantly time, when they must have 1001 things to do. Also, a mention must go to the support staff, whether, doing the finances or administration, the drivers, the chefs. You all contribute to an amazing experience for your residents. So thank you, you have my biggest heartfelt gratitude for everything you do and for all the personal care you give my mum. ] Thank you
Hartfield house have looked after my mum brilliantly for the past few years, she had some ups and downs but the staff and management have been there for her every step of the way, although she misses her old home she now feels that Hartfield House is her new home. Thank you.
Good overall standard of care and food. The staff are generally very helpful, particularly senior members, when I contact the home but I do have a slight concern that the level of staffing may sometimes lead to issues of rushing or overlooking things. Now that Covid restrictions have been lifted I hope there will be opportunity to get some residents into the garden, or away from the home for short periods to see the world beyond usual four walls other than when relatives arrive to take them out.
The best review I can give of Hartfield House is my father consistently saying to me how happy he is living there. The staff are caring, attentive, and on top of things. I am always warmly welcomed when I visit, and I can see staff know residents well and treat each one according to their needs and preferences. The house is always clean and they offer a good choice of food and drinks. There are also regular activities as well as other more seasonal ones. As daughter of a resident, I am very pleased with the communication with both staff and management, and I feel reassured that I will be kept up to date with anything that may arise. I would like to especially commend all the staff for their excellent work during the Covid pandemic, keeping residents not only well and safe but also, at least my father, in good spirits through a challenging time. I would definitely recommend Hartfield House to anyone with similar needs.
Just to say a huge thank you to the wonderful staff for the lovely tea party we had with Mum on Christmas Eve. The food was lovely and plentiful, and we had a wonderful and enjoyable afternoon with Mum. The staff are exceptional and take great care of my mum, for which, I am truly grateful.
My Aunt has been with you for a year and a half and in all that time has received wonderful care and attention. This Christmas Eve was her 105th birthday and I cannot say thank you enough for the wonderful day that was arranged for her. The entertainment, arrival of the mayor and buffet were superb. The manager could not have been more helpful and caring along with the other staff. Thank you once again. I could not recommend this home highly enough
My parents-in-law are both residents in this care home and they are very well treated by all members of staff including the management team who are very hands-on. When I visit I am always welcomed and treated courteously, and treated to tea and coffee, and if I am lucky I get cake as well. If I have cause to telephone, the staff are always helpful and try to be obliging. Overall I have found this to be a welcome and comfortable home for my relatives.
Very homely and extremely clean care home. Welcoming and vigilant. Staff are more than considerate and caring to residents. Being just visitor will tick the options honestly that I can. Have visited friends in several care homes and Hartfield is definitely one of the best. I'm sure their good name will continue. Excellent.
My mother very much enjoyed living in the Hartfield House community for six months. She particularly liked the comfortable bed and choice of food. The staff were very thoughtful and attentive in relation to her personal needs. Communications between myself and the Home were very good throughout her stay, which included the Covid lock-down period. I would definitely recommend this Home for people with similar needs.
Having now visited our friend at Hartfield House several times, I would just like to say how impressed I am with all aspects of this lovely home. If I should ever need to move into a home I trust it would be of a similar standard to Hartfield House. Well done to all involved and in particular, the staff who are all very pleasant and so caring. Thank you.
My great aunt spent more than 10 years at Hartfield House and received a lot of good care and support throughout her time. The nurses took good care of her and built a strong and deep relationship with her over time. The premises and facilities were always well kept clean and organised and the food was great. My aunt was always treated with respect and care and was continuously encouraged to be active and learn throughout her time at Hartfield House. All in all, I would recommend anyone to consider Hartfield House as a caring and loving place for the elderly.
My mother moved to Hartfield House one year ago after realising she could no longer safely live by herself. She entered as a temporary resident but was so happy in her new home that she opted to become a permanent resident. The management and staff are very caring and there is always a friendly face at the door when one visits. As a family, it is good to know that our mother is in a safe environment and that we would be alerted if there are any concerns.
My mum came to Hartfield House in 2012 soon after dad was admitted to hospital after a fall, he spent a long time in a hospital and later went into a nursing home. Mum spent a long time at Hartfield House, she was very content and well looked after, she would still be at Hartfield but her health has deteriorated and she now needs nursing care. She still talks about Hartfield and the staff with fondness. Many thanks for your care and attention.
Hartfield House is now referred to as 'home' by my mother who moved in last September. She is extremely happy living there and is very settled. It has such a lovely atmosphere, very welcoming and friendly and is like being part of one big family. Nothing is ever too much trouble for any of the management/staff - who work tirelessly to make sure that the residents have a varied and interesting selection of activities and visitors are always made very welcome.
