View Full Details of Homelea Residential Care HomeThe staff are wonderful the residents couldn't be treated better. Although the house could use some stronger air fresheners.
The staff show great empathy when dealing with residents and treat them with care so they can keep their dignity. It enables relatives to feel confident in the well-being of their loved ones.
I can not fault the care and attention that my mother is receiving since she arrived they are so friendly to us visitors always offering a cup of tea or coffee with biscuits and smiling.
Very happy with the care my sister receives at Homelea.
My review goes back till November 2023, as I only, now, feel I can comment truthfully, although my mum has been a resident at Homeleas for the last three years, things were not great; however, there have been significant improvements since the above date.
The treatment my mum has received from the Homelea staff has been extremely caring, respectful and warm. She is treated as family, as an individual, her own preferences and choices understood and catered for. I cannot stress highly enough how grateful I am to the brilliant, responsive manager and the wonderful staff for the kind support to both my mother and our relationship.
The new manager is making lots of changes for the better. The home is a lot cleaner now and the staff are very friendly.
My mother has received excellent care at Homelea. She has been treated with kindness and respect. The staff and management have coped extremely well during the past very difficult year. They have kept up a very high standard of care and hygiene throughout.
My mum received terrible care having many falls lying on the floor for hours. Most staff couldn't understand basic English. When we moved her, she had lost loads of weight and could not walk, no effort to help her walk. Her brand new clothes were all missing. When challenged, they refused to speak to us, I could go on. This is a terrible place! Sorry Mum.
My mum was a resident at Homelea Residential Care Home for over 2 years. The staffs and management do a brilliant job they are so caring and nothing is too much to ask them. They made my mum happy and my mum was happy living there, sadly my mum passed away though health issues. Homelea you're doing a fantastic job keep up with the good work you all do, thank you so much for the care you gave my mum and made me feel so welcome as soon as l walk through those doors and with this covid_19. Staff and management are superheroes in my eyes, well done to you all, God bless to you all.
I can't express enough how upset I am with the way this care home dealt with my beautiful Nanna. The constant lies they'd feed us with regards to what they've done/not done for my Nanna. Everything was just unnecessarily difficult in such a heartbreaking time with being her first time in a home after a fall and a hip operation. Two external experts (paramedic and private hearing test) both personally raised their concerns with us regarding my Nanna's care, one of which made a formal complaint and raised a safeguarding issue (which is currently being investigated). When the care home received a complaint they automatically assumed it was us (her family) and rang us threatening the impact that our complaint will have on the manager's position there (we didn't even make a formal complaint, or raised any concerns to anyone at this point... but if we had, we shouldn't be directly contacted aggressively by the care home because of doing so). I could carry on but I'm restricted to 1000 words.
My 92 year old mother went into Homelea for respite care after a nasty fall and broken arm. She has been treated with utmost care and respect. The carers always have a smile and chat with mum. They have learnt her likes and dislikes which allows her to live the way she wants to. The home is clean, the bed linen is always clean. The food is excellent. Mum especially enjoys her puddings. The residents always look well cared for.
Various managers over the last year. Latest manager, I believe will be extremely good.
In the time my wife has been in care at Homelea. I have found her to be well looked after and cared for by a very friendly staff and management.
I was always made very welcome on visits to Homelea. The staff were loving and caring to all residents and did their very best to cope with their needs. It certainly lived up to its name Homelea. The person I visited told me that he was very happy being there and the only reason he had to leave was because his health deteriorated and it was now time for extra care in a nursing home.
Clean, friendly and very caring. Staff are easy to talk to and don't seem to be stressed in their work. Any problems they will listen and help. Very nice place. Mother-in-law says food is nice but a bit cold.
Mum was a resident in Homelea for 11 months. The management and staff showed excellent care and compassion to her, especially during the last few weeks of her life. They too gave me support and friendship, which was a great comfort. I shall miss my visits and the dear friends I made at Homelea. Thank you.
A very friendly and welcoming home. There are plenty of staff on duty during the week and adequate number at weekends. The staff are always working hard and ensuring the residents have what they need.
My wife had been at Homelea for just over one year. I have found it to be very well run with a good change of management. Some English staff and some not but all very caring. My wife seems to be nicely settled there.
