View Full Details of Millcroft CarehomeI feel very lucky that my mum is being cared for at Millcroft. The staff are kind and caring and are careful to give the residents dignity. I am kept well informed if my mother is unwell or distressed. Staff always go the 'extra mile' to ensure residents are cared for, listened too and are as happy as they can be. I would have no hesitation in recommending Millcroft to any person requiring care.
The minute the door was opened I felt at home. The staff for to keep me extremely quick and detected me like family. Individual residents appear to be studied and treated according to their particular circumstances.
On arrival, there is always a welcoming smile and greeting from the staff. I am always informed as to where my friend can be found. There is always a cup of tea and biscuits on offer. If I am visiting at meal times there is always an offer to join my friend at the table and have been offered soup and sandwiches, which is very much appreciated. I have offered to pay for them but it has been declined. My friend and other residents always appear clean, dressed nicely and happy. The home is always clean with no apparent odours and there is always someone around if you need help or advice.
Millcroft is a safe and secure environment with a warm and friendly atmosphere. My sister receives all the care she needs and seems very happy here.
Wonderful home with wonderful staff. Mum is very happy here and is very well looked after! We feel very happy that Mum is in the best care.
Happy place to be.
My mother has been a resident at Millcroft Care Home for a number of years and the staff are always helpful in providing the care and support she needs. I would highly recommend this place for any family looking to move their loved ones into a care home.
My husband has lived at Mill Croft for several years, during which time his needs have changed significantly, however, the staff have been fantastic and have gone out of their way to care for him at all times. The staff always appear cheerful, caring, helpful and treat him with dignity and respect. He receives regular visits and treatment from the chiropodist - arranged by Millcroft and health care as necessary. The staff keep me informed of any changes and contact me if they have any concerns. They are always very welcoming to me when I visit and always appear cheerful and friendly. The home always feels homely, appears spotlessly clean, is decorated tastefully and always smells clean and fresh. The garden is lovely and has a lovely view over a tree-covered hillside, which is very relaxing and therapeutic.
The manager and her team were just wonderful for the brief period our mother was a resident at the home. The standard of care was exemplary and we will always be thankful for the way in which Mum's last few weeks were handled.
Millcroft was the only care home we wanted our mother to go to. We knew friends that had been very happy there. Our mother has been there for seven months and settled in straight away. The staff are lovely, very caring. Always there to talk, to tell of any events that may have happened or be happening. All staff are friendly and have time for you. There are regular activities going on in the lounge, from bingo to sing-a-longs. Minibus rides out each week, a lovely garden to sit in. While sitting out last summer my mother heard an ice cream van in the distance and said it would be lovely if it came here. The manager arranged for it to come the following Sunday! Nothing is too much trouble. The loveliest home.
Excellent care of my father. Take time to feed and clean him, especially as he has Alzheimer's. All the staff know the residents and take time to talk and help. I would recommend this care home.
Very Good. I love my room, nice people around. Highly recommend.
Everything is good. I came here for a short break but I decided to stay. The home is clean, the staff are friendly and caring. I can highly recommend Millcroft to anyone looking for a care home.
My wife and I use the service for occasional days respite and find the staff polite and very helpful. The grounds and house are very pleasant and clean and well presented. We all like Millcroft Carehome a lot.
I am extremely pleased with the care and professional services my mother receives. The care home provides a more personal approach to care than larger care homes, this is one of many reasons we picked this home for my 90-year-old mother. She can be very stubborn and needs a more personal approach to care which myself and sister have experienced is available here, please continue the excellent service with which you provide.
My mum has regular respite at Millcroft, which is a relief for myself as her primary carer. My mum is mentally very well, but has very poor mobility. She does not like change, however, Millcroft is like a home from home. Mum is always greeted by staff with a warm smile, a cup of tea and a biscuit. She is made to feel so welcome. When and if the time comes Mum needs full-time care I would not hesitate to place her in Millcroft. There are plenty of events and parties that Mum has attended whilst on respite. The staff and the manager go above and beyond to make her stay as pleasant as they can and for this I am eternally grateful. I would be lost without this gem of a home. Other residents are treated with dignity and respect, and whilst they are occasional challenging behaviours from some residents, Mum always says, staff deal with these situations well and has nothing but praise for the staffing team.
My father has only been in Millcroft for a month, but the change in him is amazing. He was absolutely against being in a home but he has settled so well due to the high standards of care he is receiving. Other family members have visited him and agree with me that it feels more like a family unit as the other residents are content and appear very happy. The food is excellent (my father is fussy)! I cannot praise the staff and management enough as the weight has been lifted from my shoulders and I know Dad is safe and happy.
Lovely little home, staff very welcoming and extremely kind, lucky they had a room when my parent needed care to be discharged from hospital. Very happy. Food and activities, excellent. Lovely garden for residents too.
The care home is very friendly. Lovely staff members. Very kind and considerate.
A friend of 96 years old decided it was time to seek a residential home. Many places were visited but none were suitable. Millcroft when visited did meet all requirements with a homely feel. The staff were very friendly and the room offered was nice. Eighteen months have passed and all have met with satisfaction. She now treats Millcroft as home and has a good rapport with the staff. A number of events and parties are held during the year to which family and friends are invited. There are also mini bus outings twice a week to places of interest which she enjoys. She finds meals are good and varied and orders from a menu, in a well organised dining room. The attention given by staff and management are excellent. Overall a very good venue and staff.
