View Full Details of St Nectan's Residential Care HomeMum's room and ensuite were newly decorated, bright, fresh, warm and inviting. She has settled in well and has been made to feel safe and cared for by the team, her care has been discussed and a care plan put in place. Both physical and medical needs are attended to, and Mum felt at home quickly and is enjoying getting to know the staff and making friends. The food options are balanced, varied and tasty. St Nectan's is such a well-run and caring home. Staff are always very friendly, kind and professional. Management takes an active part in the care of the residents and goes above and beyond to ensure that they meet the needs of the residents. The home made the transition effortless for all of us. Mum has her dignity as well as being able to maintain elements of independence whilst also feeling comfortable. We have also seen an improvement in Mum's mental health. Knowing Mum is safe and being well cared for means so much. We recommend this happy place and the family feel within.
St Nectan's took my mother in at short notice following a failed hospital release and remained there for 3 years until her recent death. The location was perfect as it is located in the town that she had lived in for many years and suffering from early onset dementia that familiarity helped her accept the move from her flat. There was no reason to move her anywhere else the level of care from the dedicated staff was first class even when the challenges with her dementia made her more difficult to look after. My mother spent a lot of time in the warm and comfortable communal lounge where there was plenty on offer to entertain and keep her engaged. Her room was large, modern and well-equipped. Unfortunately, my mother died at the home and the staff couldn't have been more caring or supportive and for that, I will be eternally grateful. I got to know the staff well over the 3 years as a frequent visitor and was always made very welcome nothing was ever too much trouble.
I was looking to find a care home for the lady that I was at the time looking after at home. She needed more care, hence she asked me to look for a nice care home. She liked St. Nectans, she could bring her favourite chair from home which was great. They gave her a beautiful room with a fantastic sea view and a large en-suite. The staff there are so friendly, she really liked the manager and often had chats with her. All the staff were very helpful, she was often chatting to them and telling me how nice they were. I’d recommend St. Nectans if you are looking for a very friendly welcoming care home, with lovely staff.
My grandma is a resident at St. Nectans Care Home and she is very happy there, she gets to visit the local town with a carer and has walks along the seafront, The home is kept at a very high standard of cleanliness and all staff are lovely and polite, couldn’t think of a better home for my grandma to live.
I found St Nectan's Residential Care Home in Bexhill very bright, clean, with very friendly staff. Situated by the sea makes it even better with my relative’s sea-facing en suite. I have visited my relative who seems very happy and settled. Thank you everyone at St Nectan's.
We could not have picked a better environment for my aunt than anywhere except St Nectans. Staff are very welcoming, treat everyone with utmost dignity and care. They really made us feel special when we visit. There is personal touch. It's a beautiful place with peaceful surroundings and lots of spaces, nice bright quiet rooms for family visits. Many thanks to everyone at St Nectans.
We are so grateful to all the staff especially the manager at St Nectan's for helping us out for the emergency placement for my friend. My friend is now in safe and professional care 24/7 and that is a source of huge relief and comfort to his wife who is also elderly after a very difficult time. My friend’s health and well-being have greatly improved since he arrived at St Nectan's. Every carer I have met at the home is extremely kind and friendly. The facilities are very clean and there are wonderful communal areas for all residents and their visitors to have space to relax and have privacy. The bedroom is lovely and the en-suite bathroom is perfect. I highly recommend St Nectan's.
I can not praise St Nectan's Residential Care Home enough through my words here that they are doing for my friend looking after her so well in that time of her life when she surely needs good care. Staff is good. Management is amazing. I have to say thank you to you all for doing a wonderful job here.
My mother had a bad fall in her home in South London. She was allowed out to come and stay with me in Bexhill as long as someone did not leave her alone. I could not cope with her personal care e.g. poo and vomit and pressure on myself, so was recommended to this home which is very good. The owner was extremely kind and helpful and said she would help sort out the future funding if needed more weeks. The room she has been given is large and spotlessly clean, with a large TV and her own bathroom. The lounge and dining areas are also well-kept. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The food seems fine. She has no complaints, nor have I. 5 out of 5 for customer service and the trouble the lovely lady owner went to, who was also ill herself the day I called 25 th January 2024. Thank you for helping me through this very stressful time With blessing.
St Nectan's is a five-star care home. At each visit I felt that everyone from care manager, care team, catering team and activities coordinator were working together tirelessly to make the residents feel safe, secure, cared for and to the highest standard. They were all taking the time to fully understand my granddad's personal needs. Their focus was on maintaining his dignity, supporting his physical and mental health. I noticed there was always compassion and a smile on their faces. The communal areas were clean and hygienic. During the two and a half years my granddad resided he benefited from lovely new carpet, new comfortable armchairs, high quality wall decorations. He had lovely times in the garden and even occasional walks by the nearby seaside. Could not be happier with St Nectan's. Especially how they managed during challenging times in COVID.
We looked at many homes in Bexhill-on-Sea for our friend/neighbour when she was left alone after her husband's demise but St Nectans Residential home was exceptional right from the start. All the staff are amazing, kind and so helpful in every way possible. Residents' health and well-being are monitored day and night without fail. Daily activities are so well organised and a lot of fun and my friend has enjoyed that very much. In the 12 weeks that she has been in her new forever home she has gained weight (after losing weight due to bereavement and illness). The meals are absolutely wonderful and so well presented and very nutritious. We are always welcome every time we visit, whatever time of day that is. Meals are a very important part of life whatever age but this home surpasses all expectations. A very bright and exceptionally clean home with beautiful sea views and massive rooms with en-suites. St Nectans turns out to be the best choice we all made
The staff at St Nectans have always taken the utmost care of my aunty. My aunt has been a resident for nearly two years and has received nothing but great kindness from the staff. The manager and all the staff have ensured that my aunt is well looked after. As I live up in the North of England, it could have been difficult to visit very often but they have done all they can to ensure that I am included in all dealings with my aunt and am well informed of anything I need to know. I visited St Nectans 3 times so far and recently visited in August 2023 and each time confirmed the opinion I already had - this is a great care home with brilliant staff who do all they can to ensure their residents are well-cared for with an excellent location of a minute's walk from Bexhill station, works for me! Many thanks to everyone at St Nectans Bexhill.
My relative went to stay at St Nectans Residential Care Home for two weeks respite, and I have got to say the overall experience was better than I imagined. All the staff were friendly and helpful and nothing was ever too much. The care my relative received was excellent, he always looked very clean and well presented, the food looked lovely. The management team were very approachable and friendly. The atmosphere in the whole home was just great. I would strongly recommend St Nectans Residential Care Home to anyone who was looking for respite or to place an elderly relative there long term.
