My mum had a respite stay for just over a week in Peasmarsh Place in February 25. She very much enjoyed her stay. The food was delicious, the staff attentive & she particularly loved the views from her bedroom of the surrounding countryside.
My mother stayed for a short period of respite care. The room and facilities were excellent, and the beautiful surroundings had a major beneficial effect on her recovery. She greately enjoyed her time there. I found the staff to be attentive, professional and helpful. I have no hesitation in recommending Peasmarsh Place
The personal attention ,associated activities , peaceful environment ,cleanliness and food /interval drinks etc contribute to an enjoyable and promotional investment. There is no doubt when weather permits added benefits will accrue from the outdoors . We will willingly request future stays to assist in the ongoing care.
Lovely rural setting, excellent friendly and helpful staff, efficient manager.
My mother moved into Peasmarsh Place in January. The staff were very welcoming, respectful and kind and my mother has settled in extremely well. I was impressed by the highly detailed care planning and records taken to support and provide continuity of care for the service users. I hope that the management and staff team are aware of how appreciated they are. The house and grounds are lovely but it's the genuine care that makes Peasmarsh Place a great place to live.
My sister had an emergency need for a stay in a secure and watchful environment, and my urgent enquiry as to whether Peasmarsh Place might be able to provide this was met with a very positive and reassuring response. My sister was quickly seen, and her acceptability was quickly confirmed, with Peasmarsh Place taking control of overseeing her removal from the hospital. She was very happy with her stay and appreciated the activities, which I understand she was encouraged to undertake. Her stay lasted approximately ten days.
My parents were made to feel welcome for the three weeks respite that they had at Peasmarsh Place. They were well cared for, nothing was too much trouble. They joined in activities and didn’t want for anything. The staff were all very nice. Lovely spacious rooms and bathrooms, relaxing lounge rooms, beautiful grounds and the food was delicious.
My partner went into Peasmarsh Place for a week's respite and then became a full resident some weeks later. The care is very good and personalised. He is made to feel safe, comfortable and listened to. His needs are met consistently and with sensitivity.
My sister-in-law is very happy overall with the care home. She finds the staff pleasant and mostly helpful. She is treated with dignity and respect, and her wishes are taken into account. Her accommodation is very comfy and clean, and she enjoys the activities and stimuli provided by the activities coordinator. For us as a family, it is nice to know that she is in a safe and secure environment, although she has mentioned she would like a bit more one-to-one interaction, but this is difficult as all the staff are so busy. We are pleased that she is close by and we can visit whenever we like, which is one of the things we looked for when helping her to choose the home.
Lovely people, lovely place and lovely food. My mother would never actually have been happy in a care home, but she does seem comfortable and content, and very well looked after. Everyone seems to treat her as an individual - it really doesn't have the feel of an 'institution' and they constantly go the extra mile to take care of her. Thank you so much.
After many weeks in a hospital environment, my wife's disposition improved noticeably within a few days. I feel certain this was due to the personal friendly treatment she received from the staff. Myself and other family members visiting have been warmly welcomed whenever we visit. There is a positive atmosphere in the home and the staff go about their various tasks with a good attitude and commitment. The Home is always clean and tidy. It would be difficult to find another with this service level.
My mother is very happy with the level of care and the attention she receives. Enough involvement to look after her needs without being too intrusive. Peasmarsh Place Care Home is also very good at informing me should any problems arise and they keep me updated as to Mum's condition. Keep up the good work.
My mother initially went to Peasmarsh Place for respite care whilst I was on holiday but decided to stay permanently. She has been there since May 2022 and has now come to think of Peasmarsh Place as her home. She is very happy and settled there. She has very poor eyesight and needs assistance with many everyday things. The staff are lovely and are always on hand to help her. The food is good and Mum always enjoys it. Mum has a lovely room and her own bathroom. She enjoys going outside when the weather is nice and sits on the benches on the terrace whenever she can. The grounds are well kept and there are benches around the gardens to sit on. There is even a mobility scooter that the residents can use in the garden but Mum has not been on this due to her poor eyesight. It gives me peace of mind knowing that Mum is being very well cared for at Peasmarsh Place and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone looking for quality residential care.
The team are fantastic with Mum's care and are genuinely fond of her which is evident in their support. Communication is good, proactive if anything needs to be advised and extremely responsive when contacted. The whole team are completely on top of Mum's needs both physically and emotionally as they've got to really know her. Along with the level of support required internally and externally medically. Nothing is too much trouble. The only reason all are not marked excellent is that the bathrooms would benefit from being updated, converted to wet rooms and they are still awaiting another lift. The food is on the whole good but can get repetitive and limited for supper options. But when it comes to Mum being content, safe and well looked after, we couldn't ask for more.
Peasmarsh is an excellent care home. It exceeds all our expectations with its high professional standards, levels of care, kindness and sensitivity; its proactive thinking and acting on behalf of the residents, and its constant communication with us - the family. Our relation's needs have been constantly changing and staff at Peasmarsh has been continuously supportive, helpful and creative in giving our relation the best possible care. The food is excellent, nutritious and varied. We feel deeply grateful for the true home it has become for our relative.
Thank you to everyone at Peasmarsh for the wonderful way you have all have cared for my mother while she has been with you. We couldn’t have asked for better care and kindness. Especially the manager, for all the time and help we have received in securing the room and giving Mummy the best chance of enjoying her stay with you, sorting out medication and so on. You and your team could not have done more. The only areas for change are the food which she said was rather stodgy - although she loved the homemade cakes at coffee and tea! She doesn’t feel ready to stay full time yet although when she does need constant care in the future she has told me she’d like it to be at Peasmarsh.
My step-father has been a resident at Peasmarsh Place for 15 months. It has taken him time to accept Peasmarsh Place as home as he did not want to be in any residential home. Now, with a lot of support from all the staff, he is settled and speaks very highly of Peasmarsh Place. I have observed how the staff have and continue to, provide a high level of care to meet his changing needs. The manager and senior care staff are easily contactable and work in complete partnership with my step-father and myself. It is a testament to the manager and her team’s hard work that my step-father and residents have been protected from Covid throughout the last 15 months. From my experience and my step-father’s continued well-being (against increasing health needs), I would happily recommend Peasmarsh Place and I would like to say a big thank you to the staff for all their continued care and support given to my step-father.
The manager and the staff that I know understand the meaning of the word "carer". They are very kind, patient and considerate to residents treating them with great respect and arranging many activities to keep them occupied.
My mother moved to Peasmarsh Place from another care home and I have found it so much easier to communicate with both her and the staff at Peasmarsh. I fell much more 'hands on' with my mother’s needs and reassured that she’s receiving the best possible care.
Peasmarsh Place has been and continues to be a fantastic place for my father to live in. The staff are always very helpful and provide a good level of care. The house and grounds give my father the freedom he needs to stretch his legs as he pleases. With the relatively few residents, social interaction can be limited, so perhaps when Covid abates they can look at further activities to get local people in and residents out and about in the local area as appropriate.
