Ambleside, fantastic copany, excellent staff & management. Focus on custoerm excellent, attentive, empathetic, helpful, caring.
My mum had been at Ambleside for 10 months now. She has settled in well and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. Knowing she is safe and being well cared for means so much, especially after the guilt we felt when she couldn't cope any longer in her own home.
My mother has been a resident for 3 years now and is and continues to be cared for very well by the management and staff of Ambleside, which gives me great comfort as I do not live local. Their communication with me as her son is always very good.
My grandad stayed at the home for respite care during a really hard time for our family. The home made the transition effortless and he enjoyed his stay so much, he even considered not leaving! Thank you, Ambleside for your outstanding care.
My grandfather stayed at Ambleside whilst we prepared his room in our house. When I visited I was impressed with all aspects of the home - the staff were all friendly (including a gentleman who came by after his shift had ended to check on my grandfather before going home), the facilities were spotless and the room was nicely decorated and well kept. My grandfather was able to join in some activities, and the staff helped him maintain elements of independence whilst also making him feel comfortable. He enjoyed the food. The stay had the additional benefit of improving his mental health during a time of upheaval in his life.
My father-in-law stayed at Ambleside for respite care for six weeks, whilst we prepared our home ready for him to come and live with us. We were immediately put at ease by the friendly, understanding managers and staff team, everyone was warm friendly and welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble. His room and ensuite were newly decorated, bright, fresh, warm and inviting. He settled in well and was made to feel safe and cared for by the staff team, all areas of his care were discussed and a care plan was put in place prior to his arrival. Both his physical and medical needs were attended to, and he felt at home within days and really enjoyed getting to know the staff. The food options were balanced and varied and he loved the extras such as afternoon cake, cheese and biscuits, fresh fruit, etc. Thank you to everyone at Ambleside for making his stay such a pleasant experience for us all.
My mother has lived at Ambleside Care Home for about a year and a half. She has had her ups and downs health-wise but seems to always bounce back with the care given at the home. She is always treated with the utmost respect in an efficient and friendly way by all the staff. I feel that she is in a safe environment and well-looked after.
My mum has been at Ambleside since April this year and she is very happy. The difference I have seen in her just makes me feel a lot more at peace with the fact that now her behaviour has changed for the better. Her care and surroundings are excellent. I feel a lot happier in myself instead of feeling guilty! Just knowing my mum is happier and safe means everything, so thank you all for all you do. I'll be forever grateful and I know Mum is too for the care she is receiving.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. Our mum is very well cared for and the family always look forward to coming to see her. Nothing is too much trouble, there's a good atmosphere and she is safe. Home from home.
I love coming to visit my granny. She is very well looked after and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful.
Staff are kind, helpful and approachable. Lovely to experience how Mum has settled. Thank you to all who assist my mum in every way. Very much appreciated.
My mum has been a resident of Ambleside Care Home since 2020. Throughout Covid and afterwards, I have nothing but praise for the staff who care for my mum. The home is well run, they keep you informed of any important developments, and they hold regular care reviews with relatives. The staff know the residents well and they treat them with dignity and respect, which can be challenging with residents who suffer with dementia. There always seem to be lots of activities and things to keep the residents engaged and occupied and it is always lovely to see them participating through lots of posts on social media. This is much appreciated by the relatives. Communication is good and relatives are able to talk to their family members easily and visits are easy to arrange too. I thoroughly recommend this home.
I found the staff and management team friendly and motivated. I liked how they were all invested in the clients. How organised they are, and how easy it was to move our Mum in. How they introduced Mum to other clients and made her feel at ease.
My mum moved into the home eighteen months ago. We are very happy with the care given, the staff have lots of patience. There are lots of activities on offer, my mum tells us the food is good. When we visit we are always welcome, it’s always clean and tidy and communication with management is easy. My mum is very happy and settled.
Mum has been at Ambleside for the past six months for dementia care. The nurses are always kind, caring and friendly and mum always seems well cared for. As a family, we are always made welcome and offered tea when we go to visit. Homely atmosphere too.
The staff took excellent care when placing a resident in the home recently. I also knew two other previously here, and they were looked after very well. I have visited the home on multiple occasions, and it is always very clean, and other residents seem happy.
Dad had been a resident at Ambleside for a number of years, and the care was exemplary. Dad passed away a couple of months ago, and although this is not something that we want to dwell on, we do feel the end-of-life care he received at the home really needs to be noted as it is such an important part of finding the right place for a loved one. Although we knew the dreaded time was coming, the staff at Ambleside helped us to prepare things and guided us through this very difficult time. Dad passed very peacefully in familiar surroundings with friends and family at his side. We will be forever indebted for all the love and kindness shown to the whole family. Ambleside will always have a place in our hearts.
My adopted grandmother has been at Ambleside for two years now. She's so happy and well looked after. Lots of activities, smiles, and love. I love that I get regular updates via social media. I am able to speak to her often and the staff are lovely.
My nana lives at Ambleside Care Home. She has dementia and used to live with me and my family. She came to Ambleside and she is so happy. She has made friends, her room is lovely and she really enjoys the food and activities. When she was in hospital the staff contacted my mum every day to make sure nana was okay. Every time I have been to see nana the staff have always been so lovely and the garden is beautiful which nana and the residents enjoy going out to.
