View Full Details of Roselands Care HomeRoselands is always very clean and professionally run. The staff are wonderful, caring, considerate, and supportive and I feel my dad is very safe and happy. My favourite part is that he gets to go out on trips for coffee and cake rather than just sitting in a room with 4 walls. Alternatively, when he is in the home he has the opportunity to interact with others by playing bingo or being entertained with gentle fitness sessions or visiting acts. If he had been left in his own house he would just have fallen asleep and been lonely, neither of which is advisable for onset Alzheimer's.
Very happy with the care Mum is receiving. We live in Australia and the communication is excellent. Weekly video calls are also happily facilitated by Roselands. We've also visited twice this year and found staff friendly, competent and motivated.
I've no complaints about my Mum's care. Her room is clean and comfortable. The carers are always ready to help. Mum is not the easiest person to deal with, but they are very patient with her. Visiting times are flexible. The grounds etc are lovely, I wish Mum would get out of bed and join in the many activities that Roselands put on, but she refuses, though she is asked and they do try to get her to join in.
I am a friend of the occupant and Power Of Attorney. I am very impressed with the care and safety at Roselands. The staff are extremely polite and helpful.
This was Mum's second stay at Roselands for respite. Slightly longer this time as medication was being changed and needed to be done under supervision. I cannot fault the care, kindness and thoughtfulness of all staff at Roselands. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Always something to do if Mum wanted...Mum's only complaint was that it took a while for her cup of tea to be made just how she liked it! But even that was achieved!
Very pleasant and helpful staff. Always willing to go an extra step to provide a solution if one is needed. There is a calm atmosphere in the building and residents seem comfortable with their situation.
We found Roselands February 2024 for mother-in-law, (89) who was struggling to care for herself at home. After our show round, we were invited to bring her for lunch. Our welcome was friendly, the facilities are clean, and the food is homemade. The rooms are light, clean and have everything that Mum would need. That was it, she loved it and moved in for respite the next day. Four months later, Mum is happy, comfortable, and says, she feels safe. She has gone from being isolated at home alone to having a full happy life, with entertainment, exercises, and good food. Her bubble baths are a highlight and outings in the minibus. The management and staff are wonderful, always on hand if needed, polite and very caring, and so friendly. Mum has a new lease of life and is safe and very content. For us, the family can now relax in the knowledge that she is not alone. We feel very at home when we visit and are free to spend quality time with her. A huge thank you to Roselands.
My father-in-law is very happy and does not mention his own home anymore which is amazing as we were trying to get him to leave it as it was detrimental to his health. He is always praising the staff and how clean everything is. He likes the food and enjoys the entertainment and interacting with people. If we try to arrange things with Roseland it is always followed through.
Overall very happy, my mother is well cared for 24/7 by the many wonderful and attentive Roselands staff. The manager of the home is extremely kind, approachable and very supportive.
We are so lucky to have found Roselands for my husband, who had to go into full-time care. He had not left his bed for quite some time, but with great patience and understanding, the wonderful people who care for him at Roselands have managed to get him into the day room. He joins in the activities and is making new friends. This has greatly enriched his life. Roselands has a wonderful, relaxed, friendly atmosphere, whilst providing highly efficient, compassionate care. He is very well looked after, the communication is superb, and I am kept up to date with his daily progress. He is spotless in his appearance, his room is very clean, and his bed is fresh and tidy. The food is fabulous, and he eats very well. On visits, there is always a friendly welcome, and refreshments are offered. I feel that I am still part of his daily life, and part of the Roselands happy family. He loves the staff, who are absolute angels, and we are so happy that he is comfortable and very well cared for. Thank you, Roselands.
On behalf of the family, we wanted to say a big 'thank you' to the home manager, senior carer and all the team at Roselands for all the love and care they gave Mum over the last couple of years; in particular in Mum’s final days in April this year. They were always caring, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We asked for any donations to go to Roselands and were delighted to be presented with a beautiful wooden garden bench for the staff and residents in her memory. A difficult job, but carried out with a lot of love!
Roselands accommodates a diversity of residents and are able to meet each resident where they are. If interested, a resident can benefit from a wide range of social activities organized by the staff. And staff also make accommodations for residents with mobility or mental conditions that might limit their participation. The staff provide a warm and caring environment and I have been very happy with the support my mother has received. Management communicates on her condition and provides easy access in person and remotely. I would recommend Roselands.
My mum has been at Roselands now for just over six months and we are very happy with the care she receives. My mum has Alzheimer's and struggles with her speech and mobility, but the staff are very lovely, patient and kind to my mum. We have seen an improvement with my mum since she has been there. It is so lovely to visit Mum at Roselands as the staff are very friendly and helpful and if you need to talk to them, nothing is to much trouble. We are so pleased Mum is there and being so well looked after, it is a massive relief to all our family. Thank you so much to all the staff for everything you do for Mum and family.
Excellent care and activities. Very happy with surroundings. Staff very friendly and visitors always made to feel welcome. Room is very well-equipped, spacious, clean and tidy. Lovely gardens and outside space to sit.
Care home is wonderful. The carers are extremely kind and helpful, always doing activities for the residents, outside is lovely for the summer. Can not find any faults at all, glad I came across this care home for my mum. Have no worries that she is being well looked after.
The staff provide a happy, caring and safe environment tailored to each individual resident. I am kept informed of any changes and the needs of my mum which have been challenging at times and the staff have dealt with these efficiently and satisfactorily. The home is very clean, bright, fresh smelling and welcoming. There is also activities several times a week in the day room.
An amazing place. Dad's medical needs meant he could no longer be looked after at home by mum. A huge wrench for mum to relinquish his care, but reassurance and compassion shown to both Dad and mum was incredible. From our initial conversation with the lovely Manager to our first visit, we knew he would be in safe hands. His medical and nursing care are of the highest standard, carried out with kindness and dignity. Roselands is spotless, has a wonderful calm happy atmosphere, food is fabulous and plentiful. Activities are abundant and well thought out. Communication is great, we are made to feel welcome and that we are still part of dad's everyday life. 'Staff and manager' are not the right words, they are all so much more than that, as they really do go above and beyond. Dad loves his room and is very happy and secure there, which in turn makes us happy and indebted to all at Roselands. The way everyone at Roselands works together as one makes this a unique and special place to be.
I can honestly say Roselands care home is excellent. My mother-in-law is a resident in there and the staff go above and beyond to make sure their residents are well looked after. They do their work with a passionate outlook the staff are always polite and work hard to make sure their residents are happy. The care home is very clean I haven't got anything bad to say about Roselands, they are very welcoming and staff are lovely.
Mum has been at Roselands just under 3 years, at no point have I had a problem or a complaint. The team keep in contact with personal matters concerning mum and have the upmost respect towards her. Turning up unannounced is just the same as a booked visit which shows the quality of care. The Activities Co-ordinator is dedicated to her residents keeping them interacted and stimulated through the day. It’s just a lovely home for mum and I’m so grateful.
Roselands looked after our mum with exceptional care and attention. Our mum was not the easiest, more times than not proved to be difficult. However, all members of the care team at Roselands remained kind and patient towards her. Even at the end when she passed they were kind enough to provide a place after her funeral where tea and cake were served for the few who were able to attend her funeral. We can't thank Roselands enough for making mum's last months as comfortable as possible.
