My Mother is a resident of Woodlands Care Home. I visit often with my wife. The care home is good in all care, activities, and safety/security and satisfactory in all other areas. It seems well managed and the staff are fine. I would like to see more care staff and perhaps more individual choices of food.
Mum had been at Woodlands since February 2020 and was well cared for despite being a little bit fussy. Nothing was too much trouble for the care staff. In September she became unwell and didn't want to go to hospital. She passed away at Woodlands under the care of the capable and lovely staff. Myself and my sister were glad that her wishes were listened to and we were grateful for the care that she received. She left this world in a peaceful place. Thank you all.
The new decoration and layout of the communal rooms gives an impression of being at home. It is a great improvement and demonstrates the caring attitude of the home.
Fantastic staff who so obviously care for the residents. Today's sing-along was lovely and just right. The residents all took part and has lots of fun.
Staff are always so helpful and caring of all residents. Very happy with the home.
The staff are caring and considerate, would recommend Woodlands to anyone.
All the staff and management have been reassuring and caring, welcoming our mum into your care, a stressful transition, we have especially appreciated prompt calls and updates when mum had a fall.
The care and consideration shown by all the staff towards my dad is truly wonderful. The environment is calm and comfortable. I have no complaints at all.
It's a very good home and the food is excellent but one or two carers could be more caring.
An excellent home, friendly members of staff and always responsive to concerns or issues.
Communication between Woodlands staff and us is excellent, we receive regular updates and opportunities to discuss Mum's care. We recently attended the second relatives meeting where several of the staff team contributed to inform us of important aspects of the day-to-day running of the home- recruitment of staff, catering, activities and events, maintenance etc. The team encouraged feedback from relatives and responded constructively to suggestions. In addition, we always feel able to speak to any member of the staff if we have a query about Mum and know we have been listened to. We appreciate that relatives can visit at any time and are included in many of the events and activities. Our experience is that Woodlands promote openness in communication with relatives. Thank you all.
An excellent home providing good care facilities. Professional and caring staff who are always attentive to residents. Good communication from management.
Both Mum and Dad have settled very well at Woodlands. They are very well looked after. The care they receive is excellent and nothing seems too much trouble. They enjoy the food and daily activities. Thanks team Woodlands!
Dad is still being very well looked after. He was unwell after a fall but with great care had now bounced back. Thank you to all Woodlands staff for your great care.
My wife and myself came to the Christmas party. Everybody enjoyed the singing and the buffet was very good as well.
Mum has setted well in the few weeks here. Happy with staff, food and activities.
Dad is very happy in the home, we had a lovely Xmas Party with the entertainment and food. The residents really enjoyed it as the staff are so attentive.
We recently celebrated my mother's birthday at the home, and they put on a small gathering for her family with drinks and a cake in the new cafe area, which has been made much more comfortable and inviting with hot drinks available at all times.
Such a warm and caring home for my mum. The carers take time to get to know the residents and what makes their day better. Management are always available should you need them and the nursing team is always excellent. The activities for the residents are very well thought out and appropriate theming them to the seasons and events throughout the year.
Everything about Woodlands was excellent until my cousin suffered a fall and her behaviour and personality changed. Sadly Woodlands found they were no longer equipped to meet her new needs and the trees had to move to a home that could provide for these new needs.
