View Full Details of The Emilie Galloway Home of RestMy mother has recently become a resident and has settled really quickly. She speaks highly of all the staff and their help and kindness, of her enjoyment of the 'lovely food', and of the activities available despite the restrictions Covid has imposed. The staff communicate with me regularly and are readily available should I need to communicate with them. They are proactive in planning care and ensure my mother's needs are anticipated and addressed. We are very pleased with her care and are so glad she has found a lovely home.
My experience of The Emilie Galloway Home of Rest has been good to excellent and I have always been made welcome and invited to join in with any activities. My mother has also received exceptional care. It is a homely place to live and she is treated very well. It is also comforting to know my mother is in a secure and safe environment.
This is a very good home. The standard of care, understanding and friendliness is very high. Food and cleanliness are excellent. A loving atmosphere.
Excellent home. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Spotlessly clean. The resident I was visiting couldn't praise the home enough. She is so happy there.
I have come to visit on three occasions and I have found everyone friendly and happy. The rooms are clean and warm and the whole place is very welcoming. I had meals when I visited and they were delicious.
I am a volunteer and go to The Emilie to read poetry and do quizzes and have been going for several years. I very much enjoy going and seeing the residents who are so content and wonderfully cared for. There is such a calm and happy atmosphere. The home is run superbly and all the staff are very dedicated and I am full of praise for them and for the manager.
My mother-in-law was resident here until she sadly passed away this month. She was extremely well cared for during her residence and during the last few weeks of her life, all of the staff went above and beyond expectations in their care and also their support to us as her family. We cannot thank them enough and have no hesitation in recommending this superb care home.
We regularly visit our friend in this home. The standard of care is always excellent. The staff are very pleasant and treat the residents with kindness and are always on hand to help them when necessary. The meals are varied and well cooked. There are various activities organised each day. I would recommend this home to family and friends should they need to be looked after.
My mother is partially sighted, very deaf and has dementia. The staff are extremely kind and sensitive to her needs, and there have been many occasions when I have been approaching her room, and they have been unaware of my presence, so I know that their response to her is not just because I am there. She has never complained about anything.
Although I am an infrequent visitor to my mother as I live abroad, the staff are so welcoming. During her transition from her martial home to here, all involved in her huge change in life were so helpful, kind and understanding. I am just so happy that she, mum, is being so well cared for and is so happy. The comfort that gives our family is huge. I can't praise the staff enough. The atmosphere is also so pleasant, something I had dreaded on my first visit.
I have only been a resident for one year. I am family independent but when I need help, the staff are always happy to help. The food is excellent and varied. Cleanliness is very good. Activities are many and varied and respect given to resident's likes and dislikes. Respect and care is shown to those who need extra care. I personally, am free to come and go as I wish. A welcome awaits your return and also visitors are welcome. I feel I am happy and blessed.
I was highly recommended by 2 friends who came here to "have a go" and they stayed. That is what happened to me! We are a family. There is never any gossip or discord between the carers (about 12 nations). The food is 5 star and standard and the menu is varied. There is nothing left to be desired. Everything is done for us. I can freely have visitors and lead an independent life. There is always laughter and a most peaceful and pleasant atmosphere. I don't want to be anywhere else.
