View Full Details of WhitebriarsWhitebriars is a very 'caring' home with 'wonderful' staff who treat every resident with individual respect and 'special' care.
Mum has been here since around June 2021. In that time she has had a great time! Been involved in events like going to the seafront for ice cream, having her hair and nails done, being taken to the holiday home and even an outdoor event with live music for the coronation. She has made some great friends too. She is always looked after and has lived a more full life than she did when she lived outside still and was out and about. The staff have always been friendly and accommodating when I’ve visited or keeping me up to date with how mum is etc. very pleased overall. Thank you!
My father-in-law was at Whitebriars for over 5 years. The staff were always caring, attentive and always put my father-in-law at ease. They communicated well with us and made his days the best he could have with his medical conditions. Thank you so much.
Since being at Whitebriars, my mum has received excellent care. I have found the home to be very clean and there are always some activities going on.
I cannot fault the wonderful Whitebriar's Care Home. Since the sad passing of my mother a year ago (who also resided there), they have looked after my father, who suffers from dementia. All of the team are extremely friendly and the care he receives is second to none. There are many activities each week along with trips out, which he really enjoys. I am always impressed when I visit, and it is very comforting to know that my father is so very well looked after. Without hesitation, I would highly recommend this home to anybody.
I lost my mother-in-law on 1/11/2022 leaving my father-in-law at Whitebriars. I can not thank the staff enough for all the support and care they have shown him as he has had to learn to live without her. I never thought he would settle anywhere but due to their outstanding care, he now joins in with the activities and loves going on outings several times a week. When we visit him the staff are very friendly and he is always in good spirits when we take him out. This is all down to the wonderful team at Whitebriars and I cannot thank them enough.
My mother has lived at Whitebriers for 7 weeks now and has settled in very quickly. Her social interaction with her neighbours and new friends is far greater than where she was living before. The staff at Whitebriers are so attentive to her every need. Such humour and understanding from not only the care staff but the support staff as well. I cannot recommend Whitbriers highly enough. This isn’t so much a care home but a home that cares. We consider ourselves to be extremely lucky to have found Whitebriers.
The staff at Whitebriars are always friendly and polite. They engage well with the residents and provide different activities for them. The staff are attentive to the individual needs of the residents and I've noticed they are often laughing with them. Visitors, residents and staff all seem happy and content whilst being made to feel welcome.
Having a parent go to a care home can be a daunting moment for both parent and children. Since my father went to live at Whitebriars, they have made the move effortless. Father seems to have settled in and I cannot fault them for their care and patience. Nothing is too much trouble when I call and I can sleep much better at night knowing he is in safe hands with staff that can cater for his needs.
Welcoming, warm and friendly staff - extremely efficient and professional as well as helpful. Parents are very happy with Whitebriars - not only the amazing staff but the activities on offer and the excellent food. Accommodating and a great manager and a wonderful maintenance man.
The home has a such warm welcoming and caring staff. They tend to every need and always have a smile on their face. I would thoroughly recommend this care home to anyone who is in need of some support for a loved one.
Coast Care Homes have gone above and beyond for my great aunty and uncle. As much as it has been so so hard to watch their health be taken by dementia, the difference from when they lived on their own to now, where they live in a well-understood and supported arrangement, they have found a new lease of life and a level of calm/content I haven't seen in years.
Whitebriars Care Home is a fantastic care home. My great-uncle and aunt are so well cared for by the wonderful staff and are encouraged to keep as independent as possible in a safe and loving environment. The day trips and activities that they organise are just brilliant, we cannot fault the team - truly amazing.
Placement of elderly, frail or members of those suffering from dementia/Alzheimer's is always extremely difficult. The Coast Care Homes group make care the key objective and it gives our family (and friends) real comfort to know that my brother and his wife are safe staying at Whitebriars. A major advantage is that residents often are able to spend time outside their rooms/building, being transported frequently in either a specially adapted minibus or wheelchair-accessible vehicles to local venues for coffee, ice cream, animal farms, hospital appointments etc. The trained staff are skilled in making residents as comfortable and happy as possible.
The care, patience and understanding shown towards my father at Whitebriars have been outstanding. During the time he has been settling in, Dad has often been angry, upset and awkward - all of the staff have taken the time to reassure him and give him the dignity he so needed. He is now happy and settled.
Whitebriars held a Jubilee party for all residents and families on the 2nd of June. We thought that the live music and setting were fabulous. We thought the food, staff and management got the party going. We (my husband and I) gave the day a 100% score.
My mum moved into the home in December 2021 after living with us for three years. The staff at the home were brilliant in making mum's transition (and mine) as easy as possible. Since then mum has received fantastic care from all of the staff, as well as from the local GP practice. All of her needs are regularly assessed and where needed the care and support are amended to meet them. The care home feels like a home, mum feels safe and relaxed and enjoys the company being within a home brings. I am also made to feel really welcome and able to visit when I want each week. The staff are the stars, they show care and compassion for the residents, learning their individual likes and dislikes and giving the residents one to one time regularly. They always keep me well informed in a timely manner of any details I need to be made aware of. I would not hesitate to recommend the care home for respite or long term care.
I would like to thank all staff at Whitebriars for their care of my wife during a particularly turbulent time of her dementia, they were considerate and patient and assisted greatly in settling her and making her feel at home during her time there. Thanks again from a grateful husband.
So impressed by the exemplary service provided by the whole team at Whitebriars! I was worried initially about placing Mum into respite as we'd had such a bad experience at another home, but the team reassured me, gave us a choice of rooms and were so patient when I reeled off a million questions! Mum settled in quickly, and things went so well that she has since become a permanent resident. Every single member of staff I've spoken to is friendly and approachable and knows exactly who Mum is and what she's been up to that day and are able to update me and let me know what activities she's involved in. Since being at Whitebriars, Mum's confidence has grown noticeably, she's made friends with the other residents and has been so much happier. It's so difficult making decisions on a loved one's behalf, especially when such big changes in their personality are happening and when you feel like an emotional wreck yourself, but we saw the benefits of Mum's stay at Whitebriars immediately.
My mother in law has recently moved into Whitebriars and so far seems very happy. When talking to my mother in law she seems very relaxed and is loving life living with other people. She is very happy with the care she is receiving so far from staff. I have visited Whitebriars several times and I am very impressed with what I’ve seen so far. All residents seem very happy, staff are always very welcoming and the rooms are lovely. I would happily move in myself!
