View Full Details of Windlesham ManorMy Aunt had a happy year at Windlesham Manor. She had Alzheimer's which progressed gradually. At all times the staff were wonderful, caring, patient and good-humoured. Windlesham Manor really feels like home for the residents, in every way. They dealt very well all through Covid too. My aunt has a cancer which returned and we knew her time was short. Windlesham Manor kept her there so that she could die at home, I am so grateful to them all.
Since my mother-in-law went to live in Windlesham Manor care home she has been happier and settled than she has been for some time. She is well looked after, the staff are dedicated and the food is truly excellent. The range of activities are very good, and we are particularly impressed with the way the residents have been looked after during the period of lockdown. We are so pleased that she is happy there - the best decision we made!
My mind is at rest knowing how well my mother is being cared for. The good food she enjoys and the regular rhythm of life along with the joy of celebrations through the year, makes her quality of life fulfilling.
Very well run care home providing excellent care, daily activities and super food for those in the home - in this case, my mother. My mother is very comfortable and satisfied with all that is provided. Excellent!
Windlesham Manor has always provided excellent, professional, compassionate care for my elderly friend, who has a multitude of needs. Everyone, including the senior management team, the carers and the kitchen staff, is incredibly kind and empathetic. Windlesham has been a shining example of how things ought to be done during COVID-19 lockdown - the management team took sensible decisions early on and everyone has worked tirelessly to keep the residents safe, happy and stimulated whilst keeping their connections informed with a series of chatty emails full of photos. I can't thank the team at Windlesham enough and recommend it without reservation to anyone looking for a beautiful, caring home.
Windlesham Manor has been extremely pro-active during the time of the coronavirus pandemic. Their early response to close the home to outside visitors at least two weeks before Government guidelines insisted on the general lockdown ensured the residents had the maximum chance of not contracting the virus. The home has been very imaginative in creating reasons for the residents to celebrate every possible occasion eg VE day, Mothers' Day, Fathers' Day, Carers' Week, Tomato Day, etc. The residents have been encouraged to get into the garden to grow flowers and vegetables and paint and draw the flowers and make arrangements. The chefs have been outstanding in providing appropriate celebratory food to keep the residents interested. Pictures of these celebrations have been constantly sent to relatives who have not been able to see their loved ones in person and relatives have been encouraged to contact the residents via Zoom which has given great personal communication.
Unfortunately, I live in Scotland, but I have visited my mother at the home last year. I found Windlesham Manor care home to be an excellent home. My mother is very happy here. The home and gardens are lovely and the staff excellent. So I have decided to put excellent as I only visited for a short time.
As a family, we have been impressed with the Home, staff and facilities since the day we first viewed it. The staff have always been helpful and respectful and catered for the personal needs and wishes of our Aunt which has made the transition from independent living to full-time care much easier. The weekly newsletter, menus and list of activities and events is a lovely touch and reassures us of the homely care she is receiving. Having visited several homes before our Aunt's admission we can personally confirm that Windlesham Manor is a leader in the field of Care Homes in the area.
My mother has been happily settled at Windlesham Manor for a year. The manager and staff are highly competent, friendly, and above all caring. Before coronavirus visitors were welcome at any time, to share meals and take part in activities. Obviously this has changed but the manager and staff have been exceptional in keeping the residents safe, in good health, occupied with a varied range of activities as well as maintaining contact with the family. We greatly appreciate receiving the photos, regular email updates on activities, and menus. I have therefore no hesitation in recommending Windlesham Manor.
Windlesham has taken wonderful care of my mother since she suffered a stroke over 2 years ago. I live in New Zealand but never worry for a minute that she isn't being given the best care available. The care staff is fantastic, kind, caring, and endlessly patient and compassionate. The added bonus is that it always the same friendly faces when I make my annual visit so they really know mum well and understand her needs. The administration staff are equally good and keep me well informed of how she is doing and what they are all up to. I really can't fault Windlesham in any way!
We are extremely happy with care provided for my mother at the home. She feels safe in their care, the staff are caring and respectful. Mum has made friends with other residents and staff, she enjoys the entertainment and activities on offer. We are really happy as a family for everything the home are doing to make mum happy.
No one ever wants to put their parent in a home, and I was no different. After my father passed away, having my mother live on her own was not an option. My family had a recommendation to try Windlesham Manor in Crowborough. When you walk through the door at Windlesham Manor, you feel like you're entering a home, not an institution or business. Although the staff are very professional, under the leadership of the manager, they make the residents and their relatives feel like family. The house itself is charming, and the gardens are beautiful. It's a lovely setting for residents to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air. The last 19 months of my mother's life was spent amongst caring staff who treated her with the utmost dignity. I highly recommend Windlesham Manor to anyone considering a loving place to live and be cared for.
Our Mother has sadly passed away but spent nearly a year in Windlesham, Mum was cared for extremely well, cannot fault the Managers and staff in all departments in any way, they were outstanding, everyone was willing to help and reassure family if we had any worry about our Mum. All the ladies and gentlemen were very nicely dressed and clean, the food that they have is outstanding, we were always offered lunch, tea and beverages, it really was home from home for people that were sometimes feeling a little stressed due to their condition, cannot thank them enough for the care they gave our Mum.
I was well looked after. I did find the central heating on all night was a bit too warm! I did miss not having 'perching stool', as I have to use a frame to walk about and hold when brushing my hair, washing my hands etc. I did ask for a chair but did not get one. The food was excellent, the best I have had in a long time. Staff very polite and helpful.
A very well run care home. Good, attentive and kind staff. My mother has improved since living here. She is eating well. Her room is very good.
