View Full Details of Grosvenor LodgeIt was a very difficult decision for our family to place my mother into a care home but unfortunately, like many people experiencing Alzheimer's became too difficult for us to give her the care she really needed. It turned into the best decision we made because we have total peace of mind that she is safe and cared for by the home. It means that we can spend quality time with our mother now instead of the stressful situations we were dealing with. The home is really lovely, rooms are well kept, entertainment is really fun for the residents, staff and management are friendly and communicate well with us. Overall we are very happy with the care she receives under quite difficult circumstances due to the illness.
Very well-run care home that listens to relatives and puts the residents at the heart of its care. Understands Dad's needs and ensures his quality of life is as good as it can be.
My Dad has now been here three and a half years and throughout this time he has always felt comfortable with all his needs met. From our view we see the effort and organisation put in place to cover all this. Credit goes to all the support staff and management. The pet visits bring a nice smile to his face.
The care and support my mother receives is excellent. All teh staff are great. The home itself is lovely and always clean. Nothing is too much for any requests I have made. Management are approachable and friendly. The family are so reassured that our mum is treated with respect and dignity. I cannot praise everything enough and have recommended this care home to friends.
My mother is resident and has been for the past 4-5 years. My father has also been resident. Our experience with my parents' treatment has been wonderful. The staff are so caring at all times, treating them with dignity, keeping them entertained and most importantly my parents were always clean and fresh. We are kept updated with any health problems that may occur by the management team. So that familiarity and bonding is built up with residents, generally my parents are allocated their own carer to wash and dress them each day. The carer then builds trust and friendship, which develops over months and years having the same carer.
I find Grosvenor Lodge Care Home to be very well run. Excellent contact with management who know all their residents very well. All staff appear to be very kind and patient with residents.
My wife entered Grosvenor Lodge in May 2022. Her Alzheimer's was causing memory problems with the addition of bouts of aggression and incontinence. Inevitably, the memory continues to deteriorate, but with the excellent care provided the aggression has largely been brought under control with added medication when needed. I have the highest regard of the management and staff at Grosvenor Lodge. The care and attention is evident at all times. This year, 2023, has seen a complete refurbishment with fresh paintwork, new flooring etc.
As with most people, I was full of mixed feelings about delivering my mum into the care of others. I shouldn't have. My mum's care has been first-class all the way. I'm full of gratitude for the consistent professionalism and especially the level of care from the whole team. My mum has actually thrived in the Grosvenor Lodge, and I probably see her smile and laugh more now than in a long time. The care given has ensured she has kept her independence and is now a person who enjoys joining in with games and activities. Her needs are met in all ways, and I'm always grateful to the whole team.
Our relative has Dementia, and it was with a sad heart they had to be placed in a care home. A big thank you to the staff of Grosvenor Lodge for treating him with dignity and caring for him so well, which has made us feel happier with this decision knowing his needs are met, and he is safe in a happy environment. (They really do have to understand the ups and downs of dementia to be able to deliver this level of care!). He is happy with his spacious and bright room and gets on very well with the staff, who know that he loves biscuits with his numerous cups of tea! A very big thank you to the team.
Myself and my family cannot tell you enough how pleased we are with your care home. Every time we have visited or phoned everyone who has answered the phone or spoken to us face to face has been brilliant, our dad seems very happy there. He’s also well kept every time we have visited. Thank you to everyone involved. Thank you so much.
We as a family cannot fault anything with this care home, the staff go above and beyond all of our expectations and I know my Dad is safe and well looked after, he’s always well kept, happy and always has a smile on his face. Thank you to all involved at Grosvenor Lodge.
I cannot review all facilities as covid precautions mean I have not seen all of them. I can only really review the care and the staff and they have been excellent throughout the time my sister has been in the home.
We were reluctant to place my mother in care but we couldn’t cope at home any longer. They have made my mother so welcome she is so well looked after here. The staff are wonderful both with her and us when we make our visits. Couldn’t ask for a better safe place for her to be. Thank you to everyone that works there.
Mum has been at Grosvenor Lodge for three and a half years now. Each and every member of staff are so dedicated, kind and caring and I honestly feel content and happy knowing that my mum is being loved and cared for by people who have a real understanding of Alzheimer's. The staff are angels and I'm not sure what I'd do without them. I cannot recommend Grosvenor Lodge enough.
I am more than happy my husband is being well cared for by a friendly, efficient and kind team of staff. The care home is bright and airy and my husband's room has all his essential needs. He is safe and well-looked after.
My wife has been a resident in Grosvenor Lodge since July 2018. She is now in advanced stage of dementia and has been treated and shown every kindness and care since she arrived at the home. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff and management of the home who have been operating under extreme pressure for the last couple of years due to the pandemic.
My brother was at a different care home but he never really settled. However, he was happy and settled in a very short time at this care home. My family and I have been very impressed by the friendliness, care and capabilities of all the staff there. The cleanliness there is exceptional. I looked at several care homes before finding this one.
The staff are wonderful with the residents and look after them with loving care. They have my utmost respect and admiration. Grosvenor Lodge is a great credit to the owner and also the manager. It is a model that all residential homes would do well to copy. 2 other residents are there on my recommendation!
Grosvenor Lodge is an excellent home, the staff treat residents and visitors with care and respect, they are always happy and have lots going on to entertain. The rooms are beautiful and calm.
The family are very happy with the care at Grosvenor Lodge. Staff extremely caring and attentive to make sure our mother is ok. Any special needs are accommodated and should any concerns arise they are dealt with promptly. It is a well-run home with extremely good and kind carers.
