View Full Details of Augusta CourtWhen I first arrived the damages of covid were evident. Since the monthly bill has increased by £2000 per month I hope that that has been spent on repairing the damage caused socially to all facilities provided to the elderly. What I particularly like about our care home, the staff are very kind and tolerate each residents way of coping with pastimes and kindly and lovingly let each individual feel they are still making decisions for themselves. So skilled. Lots of laughter too. Like a happy family.
Every time I visited mum in Augusta Court I knew I had made the right choice for her. The staff were always so friendly and kind, as well as respectful - and they were so good at keeping me informed. I cannot thank them enough for their care of mum... and the support they gave me.
My mother has been living at Augusta Court for two years now, having celebrated her second anniversary this Christmas of 2024. While her dementia has progressed and changed the way she spends her days, I am incredibly thankful for the attentive care she receives. The management team and all the care staff go above and beyond to meet her needs, and the kitchen staff prepare wonderful meals with great care. The warm and inviting atmosphere at Augusta Court truly uplifts both residents and staff alike, who consistently display cheerfulness, professionalism, and genuine compassion. The food is not only delicious but also diverse, with fish and chips being a beloved weekly favorite among the residents. Occasionally, you might find them enjoying themselves in the lovely pub-inspired room, where they can gaze out at the beautiful garden view. I feel immense gratitude and joy for my mother's time at Augusta Court; she always greets me with a smile when I visit.
My father has been a resident at Augusta Court since late 2023. He suffers from advanced Alzheimer's Disease and his behaviour was quite challenging when he first moved in. The staff at Augusta Court have been exceptional, showing genuine affection and care for him. He is always immaculately turned out, in clean clothes and beautifully groomed. Likewise, his room is kept very clean and is devoid of smells. Dad is encouraged to participate in the numerous activities that take place, which are adjusted to suit his declining abilities. The staff display a respectful and affectionate manner towards him, and they take the trouble to know his background and life history. I particularly like the warm and friendly atmosphere that pervades the whole home. The food is good without straying into the pretentious, and mealtimes have a lively feel to them. Augusta Court is like a large happy family and I am delighted that my father is here for the conclusion of his own life journey.
The staff are wonderful. My every need is catered for.
Our mother was a resident at Augusta Court for nearly 3 years, until she passed away in her sleep. She was very well cared for by the whole team who were always friendly and attentive towards her, responding well to any concerns. The staff were always friendly towards us when visiting and any communication via telephone or email was excellent. Thank you. We would happily recommend Augusta Court, Chichester.
I was always happy with the care my aunt received at Augusta Court in Chichester. She was there for about 6 years. The staff were always helpful, friendly and caring. The home was always clean and tidy.
Our friend moved to Augusta Court over two years ago when she could no longer cope at home. She quickly became settled and happy and was very appreciative of the care and interest taken in her. The daily activities extended her interests and allowed her to integrate and become part of the family of residents. She especially appreciated the visits from the local nursery school and the times of singing. As her needs increased the care team sensitively adjusted their help, always keeping me informed of any proposed changes and asking if I had any further requirements. During her last days, she was especially well looked after, being provided with a more suitable bed and more intensive care. I am so grateful we chose Augusta Court for our friend.
Senior management team led a small group Memorial Service for families to reflect and celebrate the lives of our loved ones in the care home before they passed away. Our relatives were remembered fondly by staff and those happy memories were presented as a permanent keepsake, together with a photo frame of special pictures. This was such a special way to acknowledge the time spent in such a genuinely caring environment where all staff are dedicated to giving the best care they can. It also gave families a chance to convey our heartfelt thanks for making the final end dignified and respectful. Cannot say a big enough thank you, everyone.
Sadly my wife died 14 years ago, two years later I suffered two falls and was diagnosed as suffering from dementia. My doctor recommended treatment in a care home and two paramedic friends stated without reservation the 20 homes they dealt with. Augusta Court was 'top'. I have now spent 12 years here and have been very satisfied with the devotion and personal care provided. What was especially notable was the never-ending care during the covid pandemic. I would have no hesitation in recommending Augusta Court.
My experience with the home and the staff was always very good, caring and welcoming. Thank you to everyone for their kindness and care they always show.
Living so far away from Mum, it's a relief knowing that she is happy and so well cared for at Augusta Court. Although I haven't been able to attend the care home yet, I only see and hear good things about it. Mum once told me if she'd known how nice a care home could be she would have moved out of her house a lot sooner, instead of trying to maintain her independence, living alone. I also so appreciate how management and the staff maintain a regular social media presence. I wouldn't see my mum looking so happy, social, and well if it weren't for the regular photos and activities posted. I have nothing but praise, appreciation, and awe for the carers helping to make Augusta Court such a safe and friendly environment for our aged community. Thank you, Team.
My family member has been a resident at Augusta Court for the past 4 years. In that time she has been cared for in the most professional, sympathetic, and encouraging manner. She has enjoyed participating in all the varied activities and enjoyed the home-cooked meals, especially the different themed events. She has most definitely thrived while in their care. While she is sadly becoming more dependent on the care team, I could not be happier with the level of care she has received. I have the utmost confidence in the management of the home and more importantly, the individual care team who are, in my opinion, exceptional. They keep me regularly updated with care reviews and are always available to answer any questions I may have.
My dad, who has Alzheimer's, has been at Augusta Court for a year now and after a brief settling-in period he was soon at ease. As his condition and health have slowly deteriorated the level of care and attention he receives is without doubt excellent. I have always been impressed with the level of communication we receive. The facilities are great and the food always smells and looks fantastic. I'm very happy that my father is safe and well looked after.
My partner became a resident of Augusta Court Care Home just over 3 years ago and I have always been extremely pleased with the care he has received especially during the covid period. I have found the staff to be professional friendly and welcome, and they treated my partner with the utmost respect and kindness which he deserved. My lovely partner passed away recently and the end-of-life care he received was exemplary. I cannot fault it. But not only did they take care of him they took care of me and my family. I was able to stay with him in his room and a bed was provided and I received all the food I needed. They did everything for me. The friendliness of the staff towards me and my family made our last days a much better experience than it could have been. I will always be grateful.
My dad had 2 weeks respite care - this is the first time he had gone into care. I could not have asked for anything more. My dad had the best time I can't remember seeing him smile so much. The care he got was amazing. The food was first class. The mental stimulation provided was fabulous.
Lovely, friendly home, staff are very helpful and nice.
My mother received the highest level of care during her time at Augusta Court. She built up a really good relationship with the carers and we could relax in the knowledge that her needs were being met in a safe, supportive and friendly environment. In her final days, the staff were amazing. They ensured she was comfortable, clean and the wider care team contacted when drugs were required to manage her pain. Not only did they look after her but they supported myself and my brother through this very difficult and emotional time.
My mother has been a resident at Augusta Court since September 2022. The communication from the staff is excellent. Her family feel reassured that our mother is safe and well cared for. There are a wide range of activities provided constantly, for all residents to enjoy. The staff continue to maintain a sense of humour, despite being so busy! Thank you all for looking after our mother so well. We are eternally grateful and would recommend AC.
My brother is very well looked after at Augusta Court. The team are very professional and caring in handling his every need. He has had a few episodes where he wanted to go outside where their exceptional handling of the episode and care provided have played a vital role in settling him. I am sure he hasn't been their most relaxed redient, however not being able to speak has no doubt been as frustrating for him as well as the Augusta Court team, not to mention huge challenge. Again with their extreme patience, undivided attention to his needs and continually working with him, they have are incredible. Thank you so very much.
