View Full Details of Claremont Lodge Care Home with NursingMum was at Claremont Lodge for four months. The staff were all amazing, caring, supportive and efficient. They made her last months bearable - Mum loved the food, and she smiled at everyone who came in. The room was lovely, and we were able to add some of Mum's things. I can't thank the staff enough for guiding us through this difficult time.
The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, couldn't do enough for you. My father-in-law was well looked after by all. He was very happy there. Sadly he passed away but we will miss seeing all the staff there.
I would just like to express my heartfelt gratitude to every single member of staff at Claremont Lodge. The care, support and kindness that is being given to my Grandad is beyond words. I feel very safe in the knowledge that his best interests and care needs are being fully supported. Claremont Lodge is always very clean, the staff are so welcoming and kind to us relatives that I have no concerns about my Grandads care at all. Thank you to the manager as your leadership and work ethic show in everyone who works with and for you.
We needed Mum to have respite care and for professionals to assess her needs after a short stay in hospital. Claremont Lodge took Mum in at very short notice and she stayed for a month. During that time she had excellent care and the team at Claremont assessed her needs so that we could put support in place when she returned home. The team looked after her really well, the food was very good and the activities got her going again. We also left having a full understanding of what she now needs at home. We could not praise the team highly enough and we recommend them wholeheartedly.
My aunt says she is constantly grateful for the kindness and patience of the carers. A number of them have been at Claremont Lodge Care Home with Nursing for many years. She is in a ground floor room and enjoys easy access to the gardens and paved walks. The availability of nursing 24/7 gives reassurance to the elderly. My aunt greatly enjoys trips out in the home's own transport.
My father stayed at Claremont for the last few weeks of his life. The nursing home was amazing. The manager was so kind and friendly showing us around and talking us through how it all works. She did everything to make the move easy and straightforward. No hidden costs like in other homes. The building was immaculate, light and airy, with no clinical or horrible smell. My father said the food was delicious and the staff were really gentle and caring. I am so pleased he was at the home when he passed away. The staff were so supportive and caring. Thank you so much.
4 years ago we trawled through lengthy CQC reports on nursing homes for my aunt and many did not reflect what we found on visiting. Some were like hotels, others sterile, and some you would not put your worst enemy in. When we found Claremont our impression was it felt like a home. The rooms and communal areas have a nice feel about them, it was spotlessly clean and the staff were kind, considerate and very professional. Over the years we could not fault the care in any way. What the manager and her team delivered was nothing short of outstanding. Most of their staff are permanent and the use of agency workers is kept to a minimum, a bonus during Covid. My wife and I often remark on how lucky we were to have found this home. We don't live close by but each visit or phone call reassured us she was happy and very well cared for. The environment, communication and care are excellent and delivered with warmth and smiles. The team at Claremont Lodge are a credit to the nursing and care sector.
My mother was lucky enough to get a room in Claremont Lodge in May 2019. At all times during her stay every single member of staff went out of their way to ensure my mother's stay was as comfortable as they could possibly make it. My mother was not particularly social so didn't take advantage of the beautiful grounds surrounding Claremont or take part in any of the activities that were organised but I know there always seemed to be plenty going on. I cannot rate Claremont Lodge highly enough my thanks go to all the staff at Claremont.
in October 2021, my mother although adamant that she would return home after 14 days respite was admitted to Claremont lodge. However, a mere seven days later she sheepishly asked to stay permanently for she was just loving it and I knew why, for Claremont Lodge residential home is to be envied set beautiful gardens, the main doors open to welcoming reassuring and friendly managerial team and a suite of relaxed comfortable and communal residents rooms. Upstairs my mother has her own restful en-suite room with super views. Professional, kind, patient and fun-loving staff go out of their way to make my mother feel special. They not only give her the help and care she requires to meet her basic needs but somehow find the time to share news and memories and even do her nails. My mother tells me that her meals are out of this world and her much-needed weight gain bears testament to this. Each day she has a full programme of activities which she loves. She has made new friends, is settled and well cared for and I have peace of mind knowing she is safe, happy and well looked after and for this I'm grateful. Claremont Lodge is ‘Simply the best’.
My mother was cared for at Claremont Lodge Care Home for six weeks at the end of her life when she needed full nursing care. I am a registered nurse myself so was very nervous about this, however, from the moment the manager called me prior to Mum going into Claremont I never had a single concern and only praise for the care she received. My mum had outstanding nursing care throughout her stay until she sadly died. The care was individualised, compassionate and very personal to her. The end of life care was amazing and the staff not only cared for my mother but also all of the family. Mum had a brief admission to hospital but asked to go home as soon as possible which was a testament to the care she was receiving. Mum was initially reluctant to go for nursing care but in her final days said she wished she had done it earlier! Mum loved the staff both the trained nurses and the carers as well as all other staff. She also thought the world of the manager and her deputy as did the family.
