My wife was here for 2 periods of respite care. New Elmcroft feels very clean and airy with plenty of seating and TV's. The staff are all very friendly. My wife would be happy to come back in the future.
The New Elmcroft has been such a wonderful, very caring, and homely place for my Mum, for the last 5 years. She has excellent care and the staff go above and beyond their duties. Mum is always so happy and contented and they care for her with utmost respect and kindness. All the staff from the nursing, care staff, and housekeeping staff, through to the admin staff are so helpful, supportive, and caring, taking time to make Mum feel completely "at home" within the home. There are always lots of different activities that we as relatives are always informed of via regular emails and updates of all that is going on and happening for the residents over the different, days and weeks in the month. The Activities coordinator's are so enthusiastic and helpful and enjoy engaging and encouraging the residents in participating with the many different activities that are always going on. Mum always looks so very well cared for, and is so very happy, thank you all for your hard work and dedication
It's good here.
Friendly atmosphere due to professional caring staff. Fresh and clean overall impression.
Friendly. Professional and very caring staff. Welcoming atmosphere.
My mother is very well cared for at Elmcroft All staff are very friendly caring and make every resident feel special. They work very hard to create a safe and happy environment for all residents. There's always lots of activities for the residents to do with many different musicians attending throughout each month. Residents are always clean and tidy and Elmcroft always smells fresh. Thankyou to all the staff for making my mothers stay a very happy one.
My friend moved to New Elmcroft recently. The staff have made him (and us) so welcome. Nothing has been too much to help him settle and get his room feeling like home. They have also been very welcoming of us visiting and feeling we are still very much part of his life. It's very hard making the decision to move someone onto the next part of their dementia journey, however, Elmcroft has made this transition so much easier. I go home after a visit not worried and I know he is ok - priceless!
Activities staff are amazing and do the best they can. Some staff in particular spend most time on their music players and not keeping an eye on the residents. However, I find communicating/communication lacking. Cleaners do their best, but rooms are still smelly. It would be nice to have certain staff emails relating to different departments available and knowledge of who to actually contact. Sundays are very distressing to see residents left alone.
My ninety-one year old mother stayed at New Elmcroft for three weeks respite care. I visited her daily and she appeared to have settled in well. She was joining the other residents for meals, which was good to see. The staff were all patient and understanding of her needs and my mother was reassured by this.
Friendly, clean and good facilities.
Found the home very friendly. Looked after my mother for about one year. It's a very bright, caring place. All the staff are very caring.
Excellent staff. The resident is really happy here.
My experience as a daughter who took my mum for respite was so bad. It was the first time I used this place and it will be the last time, no one took responsibility for anything. One week before the day my mum was due to start, a lady came to our home and spent an hour and a half asking for lots of information about her routine, it sounds promising however after one week when we went there her care plan was not ready yet and things went from bad to worse. Only 2 of the staff were kind and helpful and that is it.
My friend is at this address. I was impressed with the overall look of it; bright, clean and homely. The staff all seem handy and helpful. The person I came to see is very happy with this address.
My sister moved into New Elmcroft from Pulborough. She so wanted to be back in the area she has always lived and close to family. The welcome she got was wonderful, everyone couldn't have been more helpful and caring. She phoned me in the evening to say how happy and lucky to be in such a lovely home. We are all so happy for her and we can also visit much more often as it's so close to us all. Keep up the fantastic job you all do.
Wonderful staff, excellent manner and kindly nature. Fees are huge but I understand if all the care and extras are necessary for this level of care. Staff are wonderful and should be fully supported by regional management with any additional needs and benefits.
We found the staff approachable and friendly. The home is bright and airy. Nothing seemed too much trouble. My mum enjoyed the entertainment and was always cheerful. I would recommend this care home.
The state of the room provided was terrible. The furniture should be taken to the local tip. The bedding provided was disgusting (took photos). The duvet was completely covered in brown stains and should have been binned. The worst aspect was the manager who was so aloof and in total denial regarding the problems.
My first visit to see a friend who recently moved in. Very impressed so far. My friend was in bed where she had chosen to spend the morning. She told me she would get up after lunch. I spoke to a staff member on my way out who volunteered information and told me my friend would be getting up later. Wonderful to see joined-up thinking and planned action as it can be extremely absent in lots of care homes.
