View Full Details of GreenwaysThe care my relative receives at Greenways is excellent. The manager and her staff are kind, caring and go out of their way to help the residents. There is a real family atmosphere and the activities arranged are very varied and thoroughly enjoyed by my relative who benefits greatly from the stimulus they provide.
My Mum is a resident at Greenways and her care is brilliant. The staff are all so kind and caring as Mum has Alzheimer's and Vascular Dementia and they look after her with dignity and compassion. As a family, we are safe in the knowledge that Mum is safe, warm and cared for.
My father is already in the Greenways Care Home and my Mother stayed there for respite care over Christmas. The care home team are exceptionally caring and thoughtful. They clearly want to do their best for the residents and I have felt both my parents are both safe and well looked after. Thank you team!
My sister has been in this home since February 2024. It has been the best experience for her having been in a previous home for 16 months. Believe me, we can now tell how a good home runs.
My mother has always been well cared for and enjoys all the activities and loves the staff who look after her. I would not hesitate to recommend Greenways to anyone.
I visit 3 afternoons a week. I absolutely love coming here. Helping out if I can, I will be planting daffodil bulbs this weekend with my wife. All the staff are impeccably supervised by the care home manager, always smiling and working. I have made many friends and acquaintances at the home, including staff and indeed residents.
The 30th of September was our 57th wedding anniversary. The staff set up a table, nicely decorated in the main lounge so we could have lunch together. The meal was lovely and we were waited upon. My wife suffers from dementia and the carers dressed her in sparkly top and she looked lovely sitting in her wheelchair. Several of the staff came and wished us well, which was appreciated. The day will remain memorable because of the love and dedication of the staff.
I want to express my and my family's sincere gratitude for the care and attention my wife received throughout the two-year stay at Greenways before she passed away earlier this year. All our family say you and your staff couldn't have done more to support us at a very emotional time. After my wife passed away, I asked our family what feedback I could pass on, both positive and negative, and the finest positive feedback I can give is that we couldn't find anything negative to say. After spending many days in the home during those final 2 weeks, we saw and fully appreciated the wonderful community you have created in Greenways and how happy the residents are, and they truly feel 'at home' We were really touched by the care and commitment from many of your staff, the time they spent talking to us and the kindness they showed to my wife, The fact staff visited at the end of their shift, and days off showed how much they care, and that their work is more than just a 'job' to them.
My father broke his right leg in November. This was not picked up by MHA Greenways until I insisted on an X-ray which was not done until December, 4/5 weeks later. The care plan was not followed. The surgery was also found wanting in their response. I had to contact WSC and CQC because of this safeguarding issue. Some of my father's clothes and personal items went missing some were torn and we handed in clothes that weren't his. His personal needs were not adequately met and lacked stimulus. The badly handled sale of another provider meant that I had no idea whether Greenways would remain open. Shortage of staff, low morale, poorly led and reluctantly decided to move him to a care home that would meet his needs. There are some wonderful staff here who are dedicated and kind but are unappreciated. The food is really good and the home is generally clean. MHA corporate organisation is only interested in taking people's money.
Mum has been a resident for over two years and in that time I have found the home and staff to be caring and supportive with her needs. They keep me informed if there are any issues and discuss with me suggested treatment plans. Where possible, Mum is consulted about her needs but as she now is suffering from dementia, sometimes the home and myself have to make decisions for her.
As a family we were blessed to have my precious nana looked after at this care home for the last ten months of her life. Nana had dementia and insulin-dependent diabetes. The staff and management at Greenways supported her in a beautiful, active and dignified way. Each member of the staff, from the management team, care team and support staff, knew my Nana, they knew how to recognise her moods and knew exactly what she liked her life to look like. The love, care and attention to detail my nana was shown allowed me to be content in knowing she was well cared for, safe and happy. Because of her needs the team had to work with the community nursing team to provide the care she needed provided. They did this consistently and professionally. During the last two weeks of Nana's life she received compassion and support to help her to pass in the way she wanted. As a family we were supported to be there for her in the way that was right for her and for us. I cannot recommend this home highly enough.
My auntie has been at Greenways since 2020. I am so very pleased that I chose this care home. It is second to none. The staff are always helpful and informative. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. It makes me very happy to hear my aunt always say that she is very well looked after.
The staff at Greenways always seem willing to make time to speak to residents and family whenever necessary, however busy they are. They seem to treat everyone as individuals and are conscious of the residents’ varying needs.
My father has been settling into Greenways for the last couple of months and his social contacts have improved. The staff are friendly and attentive and his room is lovely. Following my mother's demise in a different home, my daughter was at first reluctant to visit but having got her across the threshold she has since been back because it feels so much better here.
Management and care staff are friendly and caring. I have found them to be really on the ball when dealing with my dad's recent health issues which resulted in a stay in the hospital. My dad is happy and comfortable with his new life at Greenways, which is a relief for me and our family.
My Mum has been welcomed to this home and has settled successfully. She is being very well looked after with due care and attention. Her medical needs have been and continue to be administered to well.
My brother has been at Greenways for a year now and the staff are very friendly and efficient. Activities are well organised and we are kept updated on all aspects. The staff look after his medication and his health has improved.
I am extremely happy and grateful for the care my father has. Everybody is always helpful and obliging when I phone for an update on Dad’s wellbeing and health, especially the manager and my father's senior carer, I know that my father is in very caring, capable hands, and that gives me peace of mind, knowing he is safe and very happy at Greenways
The carers, who as ever in a care home setting, are hard pressed, are notwithstanding this, supportive and attentive. The manager is very hardworking and is an excellent leader of the team. Whilst understanding that time is at a premium for staff, the one area which could be improved is communication on specific actions that arise from the Care Plan for the resident e.g. progress on medical appointments and, for example, are physiotherapy exercises being administered.
My mother has only been at this home a short time but since she has been here she has improved and engages more. The communication from the home and the interaction the carers have with my mother is very good.
