View Full Details of Hollywynd Rest HomePrior to my mum moving into Hollywynd Rest Home in 2023, she had been in hospital and was suffering with dementia and feelings of loneliness. Since moving into Hollywynd I have noticed a huge improvement in mum's mood. She has a good rapport with the care staff and admin staff, who treat her with dignity and respect. I couldn't wish for a better place for my mum to live and be looked after. My anxiety and worry has reduced drastically and I can't thank all staff enough for all their hard work.
Ever since my nan arrived, both her and us have always felt very welcome. All the staff are amazing, friendly and caring towards visitors and residents. I feel this environment is very stimulating and has improved my nan's health compared to how it was before she arrived.
I have been visiting Hollywynd Rest Home for at least four years and have always been greeted by staff and had a pleasant, warm visit. The friend I visit seems happy and well cared for. In fact, if it were necessary, I would be happy to be here myself.
A very welcoming and cosy environment. Good food, nice ambiance. Staff are very caring and attentive. I visited my wife daily over 5 months and given the pressures the staff were up against, it was impressive how they dealt with it all.
From my first visit I was impressed by the welcome, the attention to security and the general ambience of a happy environment. My mother arrived from hospital in a poor state both physically and mentally. In less than two weeks I have seen such an improvement in her well-being that I would not have thought possible. Very impressive.
My mother was looked after with care, understanding and dignity. The staff are professional and always listen. The lovely feeling here is due to the staff working as a team, in fact, I think of them as 'The Hollywynd Family'. They will also have a laugh and joke which I consider important. No regrets about the choice of care home for Mum.
Absolutely blown away with the care Mum received. The staff were so happy and caring. All the residents' needs were always carefully considered and Mum received the highest standard of care. As soon as Mum was moved to Hollywynd it was clear she was happy and we all felt like part of a huge family. She loved all the different activities offered and the food was great. I would highly recommend Hollywynd to anyone and, if the need arises, would make it my first choice to use again.
I find the staff very welcoming. My friend is very happy, and she is enjoying staying with other residents in communal areas. Always a pleasure to see everyone, with lovely music and a chat in the background. Thank you to all staff for the hard work and loving attitude.
I have been visiting Hollywynd Rest Home for only a few months, however, I am very pleased with what I see. The staff have a very demanding workload but are always friendly, kind and efficient. The rooms from what I have seen are clean and the whole place gives off a homely ambience. The young lady who does the entertainment is brilliant. I am nearly always offered a coffee which I really appreciate. Security is very good and the homemade food should be appreciated.
Overall very good.
Having made weekly visits to my family member for over two and a half years, I have overall a very positive view of Hollywynd. I find the staff to be cheerful, caring, patient, respectful, hardworking and efficient. Standards of cleanliness are good, the attractive garden is well-tended and the standard of food is consistently high. In my experience, I find that my family member's requests for attention via the buzzer in his room, have been responded to quickly. Although he has significant needs in terms of personal care, mobility and incontinence, he is clean and the bedsheets are spotless. Throughout my family member's residency to date, senior staff (manager/deputy manager) maintained good communication via email and responded to my enquiries promptly in a friendly and helpful manner. They are prompt in calling in external services if necessary (GP, district nurses etc). Although the staff are busy, they always make time to update me on information regarding my family member's well-being.
Excellent staff, polite, caring, always happy that I visit my friend regularly, clean and helpful, 10/10 easy parking and my friend is happy here. Treat him well, management always have time for me if I have a question, etc.
Communication with the home is good, calls are responded to promptly and dealt with well. Her room is on the ground floor with a window for light and ventilation. She has adequate storage and places for her books and a few ornaments. Furnishings although dated are adequate for her needs and the area is clean and fresh. She is settled, calm and happy with the staff, food and daily routines.
The staff are marvellous, food is great and my room is fantastic. The garden is lovely, especially in the sunshine. The gardener grows plenty of vegetables and herbs. The home is very clean. I am very well looked after.
My Nan stayed at Hollywynd Rest Home. I was very happy to see her looking so well. The garden is a lovely sun trap with beautiful flowers. Everyone looked well cared for and there was a nice feel to the home. Staff very smiley
My nan stayed at Hollywynd Rest Home for a short time. While she was there she has been well looked after. She has always been a fussy eater but every meal she ate everything. She loved having conversations with the staff who are all so friendly. She has a little teddy she likes to carry around and the staff always made sure she had it with her which meant a lot to her. Thank you.
The atmosphere at Hollywynd Rest Home is always very joyful and happy. The staff are very considerate and caring, it’s lovely to see. All residents seem super well looked after and positive. The home itself is very clean and tidy and there always seems to be an engaging activity for the residents to partake in!
Mum was quite introverted and seemed sad before she moved to Hollywynd Rest Home earlier this month. After just a few days at Hollywynd. she was back to her usual fun, smiling, laughing self, thanks to the warm welcome she received at Hollywynd, the activities (including a visit from a therapy dog, which Mum loved) and the comfortable and well-equipped facilities. The staff are fantastic, Mum's room is great and the communal areas, including the garden, are well kept and homely. I could not be happier that Mum has moved to Hollywynd.
I have the privilege of leading a short church service each month at Hollywynd. I am always impressed by the dedication and care shown by the staff towards the residents. The home is managed efficiently and there are a variety of activities on offer to residents. In particular, the ongoing invitation for me to offer regular worship at Hollywynd, demonstrates the home's commitment to addressing the spiritual needs of the residents.
The staff are always welcoming on arrival and will show you where you need to go and who you need to see. The resident always looked well cared for and was involved in the activities going on in the home. The staff are always able to answer questions asked about the resident and were very helpful in assisting us in buying items for her and having them delivered.
