View Full Details of Kensington LodgeLovely caring place for my father. He feels very safe and is looked after with kindness and professional.
My partner has been at Kensington Lodge for 2 months but is happy and looking healthy. The staff are always there, including her in activities and keeping her occupied.
Lovely care for my husband, the care assistants are kind, understanding, and listen to him. He enthuses about the food and refreshments all the time. He is kept clean with washes and clean clothes. My hat off to them he would not shower for weeks at home. His room is clean and warm. Management has said to advise any problems on every occasion we attend, we have not had any issues.
I feel it is so important to acknowledge good care for those of us working full time and unable to care for family members at home. My mum was at her previous care for just under 3 years but as her dementia increased and they served us notice advising we needed to find a home better equipped to care for her needs. After my mum moving from 3 homes in the space of 10 days we were worried that Kensington Lodge would also declare they could not cope with my mum. I can't begin to tell you how relieved we were that this was the best move and we only wish this had been our first choice all those years ago. I have witnessed the staff being patient and caring with my mum. I highly recommend Kensington Lodge as a small home, with staff trained to care and love the residents as much as we the family members do. Thank you to all the staff.
Yesterday I attended a meeting at Kensington Lodge for the family members of the residents. The manager and deputy manager provided thorough and informative updates and it was evident that the residents are at the heart of everything they do and their development plan. The meeting welcomed input from the family members and we had a really rich discussion that was so positive and had a purpose and outcome behind it for bringing positive change. Kensington Lodge is truly a breath of fresh air for our family after a negative end experience at her former home and in caring for my mother in law so well, this in turn has impacted our well-being by not worrying and having the guilt that we were unable for her to live with us. I 100% endorse this care home for anyone currently needing to find a care home for their loved one and wish to acknowledge and thank all the staff for their compassion.
On the 10th of August, my sister visited her husband, who is a resident of Kensington Lodge, I was there as well. As she has Multiple sclerosis (MS) and is in a wheelchair she needed to be hoisted into her second wheelchair for comfort. The staff were welcoming and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. There was such a happy atmosphere in a very clean environment. His room is light and airy and looked very comfortable. My sister enjoyed her visit very much especially as it was her 89th birthday. A big thank you to all the staff.
Once again my pleasure and privilege to supportively comment on the all-around excellence of Kensington Lodge. Besides the wholly reliable daily performance of the staff and management, the extra mile they went in celebrating my brother-in-law's birthday was exemplary. I'm so pleased he enjoys the attention of such lovely people to whom nothing is too much trouble at any time. Thank you one and all at Kensington.
This care home is excellent in every way. My brother has been extremely poorly and the staff have cared for him with great kindness and compassion. They had an open day for families which I attended and what a joyous day it was. The staff produced a range of excellent and different and exciting dishes for everyone to enjoy. There was music and dancing. All the time while this was going on staff kept a check on my brother making sure he was comfortable. An excellent care home with excellent staff and management.
My husband passed away in May and I just wanted to say about all the care and love he got all the time in Kensington Lodge and the kindness and welcome shown to me and my family whenever we visited the home.
I was very happy with the treatment of my mum by the dedicated staff. The food is fine and the entertainment is brilliant.
I was always worried about Mum moving to a care home - Kensington Lodge has made the whole process easy. There was nothing too much trouble. The staff, their care and how they support both of us the family and Mum is just brilliant.
This is an excellent care home. The staff are very caring, and nothing is too much trouble. The home is clean and tidy, and the staff look after my mother-in-law with care and dignity, and she is so happy here.
Brilliant staff. Make this care home outstanding. Keep up the good work everyone!
Visited Kensington Lodge today to visit our family residents and also attend a meeting to discuss ways to improve things for all residents. It was good to meet other relative's families for the first time. Drinks and cakes were served which was a nice surprise. Certain things were discussed to make the resident participate in future ideas, which all sounded good, very happy to have been invited to discuss and meet others. Now a new manager has been appointed at Kensington Lodge, new ideas seem to appeal to everyone who attends.
I cannot fault Kensington Lodge at all, for the care of my mother. The staff are a dedicated group who treat Mum as if she is their own family. The care provided is perfect. They respect Mum's food fancies, some of which I want to try. Cannot fault 100%.
The staff are always welcoming to relatives of residents. We have met the new manager and appreciated an arranged meeting with other relatives to hear of planned future activities and also to see our feedback/ideas. My mum continues to be content and well cared for.
Alwats well received, offered drinks and staff very pleasant.
Visited my brother-in-law for the first time at this home. The welcome was warm and helpful, offered a drink when signing in. The dining room could do with decorating, it's very tired and paper peeling off. There appeared to be a lack of interaction with the residents by staff, no activities, or group sessions. There were residents sitting at the dining tables with no papers or books or anything to make them think or look at. Overall the home was clean and the staff were polite.
Nice clean tidy home, staff very friendly and welcoming, my sister has settled in well and seems very happy.
The manageress of this care home made us feel very welcome when I first visited this home. The manageress and all the staff are very attentive to all of the residents' needs. This home is very clean and you can see that everyone here is very happy. Every time I arrive I get a very warm welcome. The manageress is very efficient in all aspects of her work. You can tell that nothing is too much trouble for the staff, they take everything in their stride with a smile on their face. We are very lucky that our mother-in-law is staying at this lovely care home.
