View Full Details of MeadowcroftMeadowcroft Rest Home, is a very happy rest home, full of laughter, warmth and welcoming to residents and visitors alike. The staff are very professional and kind. Nothing is too much trouble and all the residents are well respected and cared for.
Early days yet but my brother-in-law was admitted after a short stay in hospital and for a temporary stay which could become permanent. The process of viewing the home and deciding on his admission was friendly and easy. On admission, the staff were welcoming and accommodating. The manager was flexible and helpful in discussing his needs.
Meadowcroft really is a wonderful home! We love the fact that it feels like an actual home rather than a generic care facility. The staff are so friendly and caring and have been really flexible with any arrangements that we need to make for Mum to ensure she feels comfortable. Nothing is ever too much trouble and they have been really supportive to us as a family.
A care home can never replace anybody's forever home, but Meadowcroft, staff, management carers etc. provide a class alternative, short-term or long, for those requiring an alternative to their home. The building is impressive, located in a lovely part of Shoreham, and its interior doesn't disappoint! Rooms are light bright airy and inviting, mirroring the atmosphere within and its residents that earn a similarly glowing description. We were unsure about placing our elderly mum into a home, whether for respite or for longer. But worries were soon dispelled as we arrived for an assessment visit and were totally alleviated after Mum was accepted into the home, settling in perfectly thanks to her staff, and the general openness of the residents. The rooms are fine rooms and the food good! There are also many activities, which one may or may not wish to join in. A wonderful place! They have helped us in making decisions, and have been brilliant for our trying, but wonderful mum.
Management and all the staff do an amazing job at Meadowcroft. The care home is accessible to visitors at all times which works well. Mum is very happy and secure in the knowledge that she is in very good and safe hands.
At Meadowcroft Care Home the care is exemplary. Each resident is valued and everyone's individual needs are met by the amazingly caring staff members. There are plenty of fun activities for residents to take part in.
Meadowcroft has the feel of a family home. The staff are very caring and go to great lengths to ensure that the residents feel "at home". The house is well decorated and comfortable and there is a wide range of activities for the residents. The visits of children from a nearby nursery school are particularly appreciated. Relatives are included on a number of occasions and the occasional "teas" when residents can invite family and friends is an especially good idea.
Having worked in the area for 6 years, I knew I believed Meadowcroft to be the best care home there was available. Therefore, when I was retiring and moving back to the area, I knew Meadowcroft was where I wanted my mother to live. Even though there had been a change of ownership, the resident's care level was still excellent, and the new management team are brilliant. As with all of the staff they are so kind, patient and understanding, and go out of their way to reassure Mum when she begins to worry and get anxious or agitated. There are many daily activities for the residents to join in with, and very regularly, friends and family are invited in to take afternoon tea, just as you would invite someone into your own home. Mum has so enjoyed the regular visits and activities with the local pre-schoolers. One of the staff's most endearing qualities is the effusive and genuine "Welcome home, welcome back" they give every time we return from being out for the day, or an appointment.
My sister has been in Meadowcroft for a few weeks. All the staff are so kind, friendly and helpful. The staff treat my sister with the utmost care and respect. The residents are cared for all the time and there are different activities going on most days. The dining room is set out so the residents can sit and chat with each other. There are two sitting rooms, one large lounge at the front of the house and a smaller one at the rear of the house. These are comfortable rooms where I can sit and chat with my sister. There is a lovely garden, it will be so lovely to sit out there in the warmer weather. Meadowcroft is extremely clean throughout and the meals are healthy and tasty. The residents have their own rooms where they can watch television, read and relax. Overall, Meadowcroft is a very welcoming, warm place to be and I would definitely recommend it. Thank you to all the wonderful staff and management.
I would firstly like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for the love and care that you have given Mum since she has been with you. Mum loved each and every one of you and had made many friends, she loved the activities, the outings and especially the singing and a little dance. We had complete peace of mind that Mum was so happy in your care and that we were always made so welcome by you all, I really can't thank you enough for making Mum's time with you so lovely and special for her. My heart breaks that Mum has passed away within the last few days, but I know that we could not have made her life any better than what you have done, she was so content and was always smiling. We really appreciate everything you have done with Mum and making her world safe, loved and very happy.
My aunt spent two weeks recuperating at Meadowcroft after her second hip replacement op. She had a lovely room on the first floor, with a stairlift, and a good view of the well-kept garden at the back - which was important to her. She likes her space and gardens. She was given a great welcome and was well looked after by the staff and she enjoyed getting to know some of the other residents. The place is very clean and the staff seem happy. There seem to be plenty of activities if people choose to join in. Many thanks for the supportive stay!
I cannot rate Meadowcroft highly enough. From the moment you walk through the door, you can tell it is a happy place from the atmosphere and the smiling faces of staff and clients alike. Everywhere is spotlessly clean, the decor and furnishings are lovely and I was surprised at the amount of activities on offer. The staff are very welcoming, nothing is too much trouble and they're always happy to answer any questions you may have. It is a big relief to know my mum is in such a lovely place and being taken good care of... Thank you all at Meadowcroft!
My overall experience of Meadowcroft Residential Home has been that the care given to my relative has shown empathy to her needs, especially with good management of her dementia. I have always been given full information, especially in regard of her add-in therapy for her dementia and starting it was delayed so a timed phone appointment with GP for me to discuss this step was made possible. All staff are polite, welcoming and very supportive. I have stayed and joined in with some of the activities which the clients have enjoyed. Lastly, I would like to congratulate the staff on the smooth transition to the new management team. I am delighted that there are more outings planned since the takeover and feel that this gives the residents a boost and benefits their wellbeing.
My dad has been here for 2 weeks. In that time the home supported me and mostly my dad to settle in. Nothing is ever too much and the feeling in the home is very homely. Dad loves the meals and slowly joining in.
Meadowcroft Care Home is such a wonderful place for my mother to live. Every time I visit, which is most days, I leave feeling grateful that my mother is in such a wonderful environment. All the staff are amazing and so kind. I absolutely recommend this Care Home for your loved ones.
My mum is very happy living at Meadowcroft. The activities, visits from the cubs and nursery children, singers and themed activity days contribute to her wellbeing together with the loving and caring staff. The home is kept beautifully clean together with the new revamped garden. Any minor problems have been dealt with promptly and efficiently. Overall we are extremely happy with mum's care and have recommended it to friends who are looking for care for their loved ones.
I regularly visit the residents with a dog he is always welcome and most of the residents love seeing him. I have always found the home spotless and the residents are happy to see us and love having a chat with me, the residents seem to be very happy plus the staff are always helpful to me and my dog and love seeing us.
I reluctantly moved my 92-year-old mother into full-time care and was very anxious about how she would settle having lived in her home for 65 years. From day one, she was happy as the staff are amazing and made her feel welcome, safe and comfortable. The house is beautiful - light, bright and airy and has a very homely feel; her en-suite bedroom is lovely with fitted cupboards and a view over the lovely, well-tended garden.
My father-in-law has thrived since moving to Meadowcroft. He took a while to settle but the team went out of their way to welcome him and make him feel at home. The home has such a warm welcoming atmosphere and all the staff are so kind and caring which made the transition from home to care home as easy as it could be for all of the family.
We are very happy with Meadowcroft. This small care home is full of lovely caring staff who have the best intentions for all the residents. We feel very happy leaving our relative here and know all their needs are being catered for.
