My mum was a resident at Saxby for over 13-years and sadly passed away
in December 2020 (not from Covid) and in all that time, I have nothing
but admiration for the owners and all of the staff and the work they do.
Mum was always well fed, well dressed and very happy. I've enjoyed many
visits and sat with Mum in her room or in the day room chatting to other
residents. Even my dog was very welcome there. I've even enjoyed
Christmas dinner there with Mum on occasions. The home always had a
fresh, clean smell about it, nothing of the horrible smells one
sometimes finds in care homes. I have no hesitation in recommending
Saxby Lodge if you happen to have the not ideal situation where someone
you love has to have residential care.
