View Full Details of Silver CourtMy mum spent 4/5 months at Silver Court. We are so grateful to the staff. They are all so lovely, welcoming and caring. My mum was very happy at Silver Court and we know she was well looked after. We would totally recommend this care home.
My mother-in-law was living here for a few years before she passed away. The care was second to none. They looked after her so well, she was able to continue to enjoy all the things she did before she became unwell, her music and mostly having fun. Thank you.
My Uncle became a resident at Silver Court Care Home in February 2024, being 100 years old, always looked after himself, he adjusted quite quickly with the help of the staff. On November 7th his birthday now 101yrs. Silver Court made a room available for us as a family as some travelling long distance to Celebrate his birthday. The family would like to express their appreciation for all the staff who made his birthday so special. They made sure we had everything we needed, decorated the room with banners and balloons, especially three showing 101. My Uncle has had much to say "It was better than his 100th". This is such a comfort knowing that my Uncle is safe and cared for.
My Mum has been in this home for a few years. The staff from day one showed great care and support for her and us, always a smile and names. I could always speak to someone if I wanted to. The home is always very clean and cared for. Mum has always been happy and well looked after clean and tidy, a smile for all.
Our family is currently incredibly disappointed with the continued failure of the care home to abide by the agreed care plan for our mother. Staff repeatedly fail to fit hearing aids on a daily basis, leaving our mother struggling to hear. Teeth are not cleaned and maintained on a daily basis. A doctor's appointment has been requested on multiple occasions, yet to be confirmed. Her room often has an unpleasant smell. Bins are frequently full of rubbish and dirty cups and dishes are left uncollected. We are extremely concerned about the poor standards of communication from staff to management and the lack of feedback to the family. Customer service standards and respectful conversion from staff to family are often questionable. We expect things to improve.
Mum is very happy at Silver Court. She says the staff are very kind and she loves the food. She says we couldn't have chosen a better home for her! I have found the whole team to be very person-focused, ensuring resident's wishes are paramount. There is always a lot of laughter and you are always made to feel very welcome when you arrive. Staff really know residents and are keen to keep you up to date with anecdotes and activities your loved one has been up to. When Mum has been unwell, the team has been quick to inform us of the situation and keep us up to date. I am so pleased we made the decision to bring Mum to Silver Court. From the moment she arrived, the team have gone out of their way to make her feel welcome and part of the family. I think we have been very lucky to find such an excellent home. Thank you, everybody, you are very much appreciated.
Our mum was admitted into Silver Court in July this year. We were concerned about how she would settle as she is 94 years old with worsening dementia. We needn't have worried because the staff went out of their way to make sure Mum felt safe and cared for. They also looked after us, the extended family as the move affected us too. The effort the staff go to to ensure Mum and the other residents get the best out of each day is phenomenal. We receive regular newsletters of the activities laid on, of the arranged visitors they organise to the home to make sure their days are varied. We were offered two choices of placement for Mum. The first home we viewed traumatised us so much that I shall never forget it. With trepidation, we drove towards Silver Court and immediately knew Mum would be okay there. We stopped worrying immediately. Thank you to all the staff, be it carers, catering staff, domestic staff and administrators, gardeners and maintenance staff for giving Mum a happy, safe home.
I can not recommend Silver Court highly enough. It is a real pleasure to be able to write this review, to reassure people considering placing loved ones here, that the team genuinely care about every single person, and goes out of its way every day, to make everyone smile and feel important. My mum recently went into hospital and when she returned, the team at Silver Court were there to welcome her back and worked day and night, to help her recover, both physically and emotionally. When I walk in each day, I am made to feel like I am part of the family, laughing with the team and sharing stories together with my mum. The team leaders and managers are outstanding. Always listen to feedback, always go out of their way to provide proactive updates on the care plan for my mum and nothing is ever too much trouble. Activities take place to provide music, singing, dancing, massage, exercise and wellbeing. I can not thank everyone enough, from the heart. You are all incredible.
I have found the staff at Silver Court very welcoming and friendly, always helpful and ready to discuss any concerns. They are kind and caring towards the residents in their care and remain calm and professional despite some of the challenges they face. Their strength is in their ability to work as a team, particularly evident at the recent summer fete. It was well-organised and well-attended by staff, residents and their families alike. I am also thankful for the support given to me in what are very difficult times.
The staff are always approachable and friendly. My friend always looks clean and looked after. I also feel I can approach the management if I need to.
My dad was a resident at Silver Court from February 2023 up until March 2024. We loved it from the minute we arrived. It is bright and airy and all the staff are so kind and friendly. They were exceptionally sweet to my dad and looked after him so well. My sister and I never felt worried. They really cared for him in his last few days and we will never forget the care they showed. I would not hesitate to recommend Silver Court for your loved one.
My visits are always welcomed with a friendly smile and greeted in a professional manner. There is an obvious warmth and respect that is shown by the carers for all the residents. Dad is treated well and has recently become involved in helping out with the gardening; encouraging him to be active and getting fresh air while having a focus to help keep his mind active.
Staff never greet you with their name on the units. The cleanliness of the unit kitchen is a worry. When staff take out cutlery for you and disinfect it before handing it to you and it is still not clean. Ongoing problem with clothes being thrown in bottom of wardrobe rather than hung up or folded and put into drawers. Nan seems comfortable.
My nan was at silver court for 19 months. From start to finish staff were kind and supportive to her and the family. It was not an easy decision for any of us when it became clear that it was not safe for Nan to live alone any more. The transition period was not easy but staff were always able to reassure us that things would get better and Nan would become more settled and they were right. The effort all staff make with the entertainment, summer fetes etc is amazing. The staff are patient and caring and knew how to get Nan smiling. They are like a family and welcome you with open arms. When Nan was poorly staff would even pop in to see her on their days off. From my experience, I would not hesitate to recommend Silver Court.
The home has a lovely, happy atmosphere. My mum loves the care staff, all of whom are very cheerful all of the time. They also take proactive care of my mum's needs, physically, emotionally and medically. If they detect any medical need, they contact the GP immediately. The staff are all very hardworking and efficient. The care home is bright, cheery and feels spacious.
My mum has been at Silver Court for just over a year and I can honestly say I am in awe of the manager and the team. The staff genuinely love my mum and although she is reluctant to leave her room, they always include her in everything, from crafts to Pat dog sessions, they will make sure to go to her in her room. This August I had my first holiday for four years, I was able to go away safe in the knowledge that Mum was happy and she didn’t miss me at all! Events such as Christmas, the manager and the team always ensure the residents have fun and are all included. I have a lot of experience with care homes through my work and I know I am blessed that Mum is in their care. Mum always looks well cared for and the home doesn’t smell nasty like some do! At this point I would like to mention particular outstanding staff but I can’t as they are all amazing! In what has been the most difficult time of my life they have been there, not only for Mum but for me too, Thank you team Silver Court!
Mum has been a resident at Silver Court for just under a year and a half. Thanks to the understanding, kindness and dedication of the staff, Mum is always bright and happy and Silver Court has become her new home. Mum enjoys the varied activities at Silver Court. She loves the singing, dancing and musical moments, as well as the outings. Straight away the staff homed in on Mum’s love of gardening and make sure she has plenty to do, such as planting etc, in the lovely surrounding gardens. There is a real family atmosphere within Silver Court, which you can appreciate as soon as you arrive and mum is always treated with the greatest respect and affection. In fact, she always says how lovely everyone is. The communication between the staff and families is excellent and they are always on hand to resolve any queries we may have and set our minds at ease. Knowing that Mum is happy and very well looked after is so important. A big thank you to everyone at Silver Court!
I have been very impressed with Silver Court Care home. The staff are always very friendly and attentive. My relative is very happy here, they regularly tell me how happy they are with Silver Court and how friendly the staff are and how much they care. The food seems to be great quality too.
My Mother has been at Silver Court now for nearly 2 years and I am extremely happy with the care and attention she gets. I could not ask for a better place for Mum to be. Unfortunately, I no longer live in the UK so don't often get a chance to visit but the times I have I can really sense how wonderful all the carers and staff are. Mum is extremely happy there. I do call regularly and they are always very accommodating at organising a video call so I can stay connected with Mum. Highly recommend.
Silver Court Care Home has been fantastic at providing care for my relative. All staff have been professional, fully invested in their roles and take time to talk and really get to know their residents. The home really does feel like a 'home from home’ with residents able to be themselves and my relative is extremely happy here.
