View Full Details of Valerie ManorMum's been at Valerie Manor for almost a year now and we are very happy with the level of care. The staff are efficient, friendly and approachable - communicating well when needed. Mum enjoys the various activities and entertainers - particularly the singers and ballroom dancers. And the food, she says, is amazing! We feel Mum is safe and well cared for at Valerie Manor.
The staff at Valerie Manor have been so caring and supportive making my father's transition to care very easy. They have made him and the family feel very welcome, are so cheerful and knowledgeable, I am reassured that my father is receiving the best care. Every effort is made to make him feel Valerie Manor is his home. My father can't praise the staff and food highly enough.
As ever, the care at Valerie Manor is defined by the quality of the carers, which is very high. My Mum feels very much at home, comfortable, cared for, and entertained. It's a lovely place for her to live.
Dad went to Valerie Manor at a difficult time for the family following the death of my lovely Mum. We found everyone we came into contact with, friendly, kind, caring and extremely helpful. Dad settled in very quickly and we as a family were treated as part of the Valerie Manor family from day one. Dad, being amongst people has done him the power of good, plus he is thoroughly enjoying the amazing food, so much so, he has put on a nice bit of weight. Thank you.
Always friendly and helpful. Attentive and no problems with requests on behalf of residents. Food seems consistently good quality. Staff always seem keen to assist. Well run and care level is consistent.
Very happy with the care provided and activities for residents if they want to join in. The atmosphere of the home always feels warm and friendly, all staff are polite and always welcoming and I would highly recommend Valarie Manor to anyone who asks.
When my mum's previous care home refused to have my mum back following a spell in hospital, as they said she now needed nursing care, my sister and I had to find another home at short notice. We were relieved that Valerie Manor had a room vacant and the manager was really nice to deal with. Unfortunately the hospital released my mum in a very poor state and she died after only 10 days at Valerie Manor, but we were very happy with the care that she received there and the staff couldn't have been kinder to both my mum and the family members that visited her. Just wish she could have had longer there as I'm sure she would have been very happy.
My mother has been in Valerie Manor for over 3 years and is very happy there. The staff are excellent and she also loves the food! They lay on a variety of entertainments for the residents as well as trips out to local cafes, garden centres etc., this month Mum is hoping to go on a trip to see the local Christmas lights. They also put on events which the relatives can attend. There was a Halloween tea party and the next one will be Christmas Dinner, a few days before Christmas.
I knew the care home way back when they used to refer residents to me for audiology matters. I was impressed at the time and recommended Valerie Manor to my next of kin. You helped her settle well and have shown much love and care. Thank you.
My mother spent one and a half years in several nursing homes and hospital. When we settled on Valerie Manor Care Home we could immediately notice the difference. The friendliness - genuine connections were made, kindness and gentleness, thoughtfulness and lovely nursing care. Every request we made was considered. The outings and activities, particularly those family were also invited, were so enjoyed and appreciated and what a garden and view.
New Year greetings. My stepmom is very happy. We are pleased with your strict Covid policy. Great facilities, food and entertainment. Excellent and caring staff who show warmth and humour. Well done. Keep it going!
Visitors are required to have a valid lateral flow test before they are permitted entry. The staff provide a high level of care to high standards and are very attentive to the resident's physical, mental and emotional requirements, personal hygiene, and bed linen. The staff are also welcoming to and supportive of residents' visitors.
My relative has been very well looked after in Valerie Manor. She is happy and is well cared for by the hardworking and dedicated staff, whose jobs are still made more difficult with covid. She particularly enjoys the excellent food. The full range of facilities and activities have not been available since the pandemic, which means more time spent in their bedrooms. Hopefully, this will change soon, when time allows.
I have been very impressed with the care and administration, particularly through this difficult time, with the pandemic. The staff are wonderful and the management/administrative team are efficient, helpful and informative. The resident also frequently comments on the quality of care and food. The lovely gardens and position are also a great asset.
My cousin seems more than happy with her care and I can't recall any complaints, or any issues, from her.

Valerie Manor provides all of the services you could want for a resident. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Over the week, various entertainment is provided, such as table cricket, bowls, flower arranging and keep fit. The food is excellent and it is in a beautiful location which the residents enjoy all year round.
I cannot praise the nursing and management team at Valerie Manor highly enough. Coming from a nursing background myself, I fully appreciate how difficult it can be looking after someone with the health problems my father had. He was always treated with compassion, respect and dignity (as were we) not just by the nurses but the catering, domestic and ancillary staff as well. My father passed away, and I have to say the end of life care was above and beyond the call of duty. He always looked clean, comfortable and pain-free. During this difficult time, we were all kept informed of dad's condition and were treated with the utmost respect when we visited. An absolutely wonderful team.
My mother moved to Valerie Manor a year ago. She chose to go there having visited a friend on numerous occasions and liked the atmosphere and garden. All staff - management, carers, chefs and cleaners, all have been most attentive, helpful and always create a happy feeling in and around the home. Any queries that arose initially, and thereafter, were dealt with patience and understanding. Time is always given willingly and it is clear from all that my mother says and her general demeanour, she is very happy and pleased to have made her new home at Valerie Manor.
