View Full Details of BrookfieldFrom the moment I asked about the care home, I was put at ease. A warm welcome on my visit, all questions answered with a please phone if you think of anything else. Mum always says she "is happy here". She had made new friends. She enjoys activities and I was able to join Mum for Christmas shows and a wonderful Christmas day lunch too.
A real home-from-home care home. The staff are wonderful, going over and beyond. So caring. The residents appear to be content in their surroundings. Quite the nicest care home I have visited and I have been to quite a few, visiting family and friends. The manager was very welcoming, it was obvious to me the care she had for her residents. It's lovely to see and 'feel' such a lovely care home.
On visiting a friend, it was obvious how dedicated all the staff were to ensuring the care and comfort of all the residents. The care home was clean and comfortable too. The food smells from the kitchen were enticing also. Lots of games and jigsaws on offer too.
My sister-in-law moved into Brookfield just over a month ago, she was adamant that she would never go into care but after having a stroke and not being safe on her own, she moved in. After a few days of her coming to terms with the move she is now very happy. The staff are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble. We cannot fault her care. It is a very small home so the care she gets is outstanding, she did admit that she was lonely at home but now with all the fuss they make of her, she is very much at home.
My mother has been a resident for three months and is happy, although she had been independent before going to Brookfield. The staff are very caring and nothing is too much trouble. It feels like home and most of the carers are locals and have worked there for years. Mum enjoys the homecooked meals and is well looked after which is reflected in the residents who look out for each other. I highly recommend Brookfield.
My mum has been to Brookfield for daycare for several months, and this week became a resident. She is very happy to be staying there. Throughout our association, the team have been caring and kind to Mum, alongside encouraging her to join in activities. They have also supported us as a family, offering advice and experience, especially as we began to struggle with caring for Mum at home. I would not wish for her to be anywhere else. Many thanks to all of the team.
We have been visiting a close friend weekly for over a year. The experience is always good. The staff are very helpful and caring. Our friend enjoys her food very much and is always appreciative of it.
My uncle has been with you for a few months now. We have been able to see him a couple of times, as it is a fair trek from home. Every time we come up, the home is wonderful. The staff are first class and so very caring. Uncle looks so well cared for and happy. The manager is superb and I cannot fault the care and love all the team give. Thank you all.
My husband has been a resident for nearly three months. I chose Brookfield initially for this clean well-run home, which I believed to be managed so well. "Look at the staff", a friend, said to me and if they are caring, then the home will be fine. The staff here, led by a great manager, are indeed fine. They cannot do enough for the residents and keep me involved in all decisions, at all times. I have no doubt, I made a great choice.
A dear friend spent her last four months here and she couldn't have been in a better place. All the staff went the extra mile and made her time enjoyable and as comfortable as possible and when the end came, they ensured she wasn't alone. I can't praise them enough for the care and attention they gave and give to all their residents. It's a very happy place. Thank you all.
My mother has been living at Brookfield for the past four years. The care she has received there has been second to none, from the manager, right through to all the carers, they have been outstanding. My mother has very complex needs, including dementia. I do believe that because the care home is of a smaller capacity, the care and one to one attention she receives has been perfect for her needs. She just wouldn't get that if she were in a larger home. It really has a home from home feel about it. I couldn't imagine her anywhere else, to be honest. Excellent.
The staff are consistently caring and conscientious and are fully committed to giving the residents high-quality care. The home has a more personal feel as it is smaller and therefore more intimate, so the residents are familiar with all the staff on a regular basis.
As a small care home, I felt this would be more suitable for my Mum who is 96 years old. Seeing the same staff regularly, makes her feel safe and secure, with a more homely feel. The staff are very flexible with her catering needs and their patience and care for her is exceptional. She always looks clean and tidy, which makes me feel that she is being well looked after. Being an older care home makes it feel very cosy, unlike more modern large care homes. Brookfield is well managed and the staff are very friendly and caring. I would not wish her to be anywhere else.
Mum has been a resident at Brookfield for over two years and has frontal lobe dementia. She initially attended daycare a couple of days a week to give me some much-needed respite but when Mum's condition deteriorated she became a full-time resident having had daycare the transition was easier for both Mum and myself. The staff have always been kind to Mum and they have a great rapport with her and understand her condition. Staff are always happy to answer any questions or concerns. The home has a very warm and caring atmosphere.
Not actually being in the position to visit in these trying times, I feel that Brookfield personnel has protected my Mother extremely well over the Covid pandemic, especially having taken my families special situation living approximately 200 miles away. We took it that the situation for us to visit at the start of the Pandemic could put Mum and her fellow residents and staff in jeopardy due to the long-distance, having to stop off at motorway services that could be potential infection hazards. So decided not to visit which then became the norm. Though Brookfield had already come to the same conclusion so well done.
My Nan has been in Brookfield residential home for many years now and she is very happy there. She has the most loveliest room and the most fabulous care. She is always well turned out and very happy there despite her family living 3 hours away. I feel very lucky that she is happy there and I can relax knowing she is being so well taken care of. I have been especially grateful to all of the staff through the pandemic for being so upbeat and making her feel very special throughout such a difficult time without being able to see us. Thank you with all my heart to all of the staff at Brookfield for taking care of her. I am forever grateful. You’re all amazing people and have kept her incredibly safe.
Mum has been in brookfield for nearly five years, she is always well cared for, the staff are always welcoming when I visit, always friendly, nothing is too much trouble. The staff have always showed kindness and patience with Mum and understanding, I personally feel that I could not have placed my mum in anywhere better than Brookfield.
My mother who has dementia has settled very well into Brookfield. The staff are compassionate, caring and reassured my mother to help her feel comfortable, which enabled me to have great trust in the team. I can ring up at any time and speak to a member of staff regarding my mother. The staff have a very good response if anything is needed, or to let you know of situations regarding my mother. I'm really happy that she is being cared for in a professional manner and that feeling of constant worry has now been lifted from me.
My Mum started off as a Day Visitor once a week and every other weekend which she did for 9 months. This enabled us to care for Mum in the way we wanted to with support and enabled us to live our lives as well. The staff encouraged her and helped her to settle and this was an excellent way for her to get to know the place and staff. She then had some respite and moved in for the last few months of her life when we could visit her whenever we wanted to. We were always welcomed with a cup of tea and Brookfields felt like home. The staff are very caring. The food is lovely and the accommodation comfortable. When Mum fell ill the staff did everything in their power to help and support her for which we will be very grateful. The Manager and her staff were so supportive to us as well as Mum and were always there to talk. I would highly recommend Brookfields.
Only good praise for all staff. The care and love is first class. Clients appear happy and laugh a lot. Good activities.
